Glow in the Dark Dildo Review: Neo Elite Dual Density Glow Silicone!

Glow in the Dark Dildo Neo Elite dual density glow comparison top crop

WOW, this glow in dark dildo series lights up like glowsticks! Neo Elite are dual-density silicone: soft, squeezable, & see-through outside…with a firm, glowing core under. Just stick a Neo Elite glow in the dark dildo in the sunlight for an hour, and see the shine.

Made of silicone, these toys are very safe—not like jelly dildos 😢 that will break down and let bacteria grow. The Neo Elites Glows’ two-layer composition does two awesome things:

  • Feels more realistic (softer like skin, hard like an erection) than most dildos
  • Looks bad-ass!

I have lots of dual-density silicone dildos … but Neo Elite glow dildos make the most dramatic impression, with how bright their light can be. They all look so cool moving in and out of your body in the dark. Plus, they’re only $29.99 or $32.95 for real silicone: I love it! (And hey, if you like a larger toy—with a “yes, Daddy”-kinda head—then the Luminous Stud is $47; comparison with Neo Glow below.)

Blush Neo Elite Glow in the Dark 7.5 Inch Dildo with Balls Pink_purple

This glow in the dark dildo review will shed some light on the two Blush Novelties Neo Elite Glow shapes, illuminate the softness of the silicone, and highlight the suction cup strength… Yes, it’s a glowing review, as Neo Elite glow dildos are a shining example of how far body-safe sex toys have come in the last 5 years. I also detail how well these Neos glow, and list other glow-in-the-dark sex toy choices.

Blush Neo Elite Glow 7.5 Inch: Blue & Orange

This is a great shape for multiple purposes:

  • Anal in general
  • Riding suction-cupped
  • Getting used to an average-size dildo vaginally
  • Deeper stimulation, like the A-spot

The Neo Elite 7.5 Inch’s form is a classic one, a slim head that tapers into a long realistic shaft. It’s a straight, streamlined taper, really perfect for gradually expanding your hole. You do have 7 full inches of length to insert with this glow dildo—longer than almost all vaginas and most rectums too.

So what to do with the extra length?

With the suction cup: you could stick the Neo Glow 7.5 Inch to a shower wall, and take it from behind, or to a smooth floor and sit and rock back and forth…or wherever your creative imagination takes you.

Neo Elite Dual Density dildo glow in the dark blue 7.5 Inch shower suction cup (2)
What’s in *your* shower these days?

This is a really strong suction cup. Sticks like crazy to my shower wall. I left this dude up all day, and it never fell down. I suggest backing up onto the Neo 7.5 Inch Glow in the Dark (butt against the wall!) and using a clit toy too. I’m grabbing my We-Vibe Melt, the only “suction stimulator” I’d even consider with a suction dildo.

That suction cup base is strap-on harness compatible too, so you can look awesome waggling your glowing dick around in the dark…before you (maybe turn on the lights for better view?) and put it in your partner.

Solo, I’m liking this Neo Elite vaginally for deeper, A-spot and cervical stimulation. Its soft head is only 1.2 inches wide and short—it doesn’t take up much space. Compared to other (girthy) G-spot toys I tend to use, it’s really gentle. I want it bumping all the way back, while I’m getting the full 1.5 inch width rubbing at my vaginal opening.

Anally, that smaller head makes it lots easier to get in—and the firm core helps stabilize the long shaft, so it doesn’t fold over if your butt hole is a little tight. (Remember, use lube!) The outside silicone is slick, and a little sticky like soft silicone always is. Do use a good longer-lasting lube to reduce friction: either Wicked Simply Jelle lube helps a lot. The veins in this Neo Glow feel more pronounced to me than the original non-Glow version, but it’s a slight difference.

For “virgin” vaginal users, this is my second dildo pick after the petite Avant D15, whose silky shaft starts (and ends) even slimmer than the Neo Elite 7.5 Inch.

Blush Neo Elite Glow 7.5 Inch w/ Balls: Pink & Green

Thrust it in and out, and feel the pressure… Have you ever imagined a glow-wand moving in and out of your body, fast? NO?! I definitely recommend trying this with a Neo Elite 7.5 with Balls: either jerking it by hand or having a partner do it for you. The on-off-on-off-on glow lit up is almost hypnotic. Remember, your thighs are reflecting the light now too!

Suction cup strength for real on these toys. To use: (1) Expose to sunlight. (2) Move somewhere dark. (3) Turn out the lights ‘n’ see what happens next. *Sticking dildo to your body is optional 😛

This is the more “spot friendly” Neo Elite Glow in the Dark shape—better-geared for G-spot or prostate focus. The 7.5 with Balls’s corona has a lip that turns upward, and also pushes forward. The sensation is concentrated in about an inch’s width of ridge, the part that sticks out most.

And that head’s on top of a shaft that leans forward. While its firmer core keeps this glow in the dark Neo Elite angled in. That’s important because both spots (G-spot / prostate) respond to forward pressure.

Blush Neo Elite vs. Uberrime Splendid
Neo Elite 7.5 Balls (pink) and 7.5 (blue) vs. the Uberrime Splendid’s head: Splendid medium is only a quarter inch wider on paper, but you can see why it feels much bulkier.

It is a soft pressure from the Neo Elite Glow 7.5 with Balls’s squishy see-through silicone head. But it’s also quite focused at that up-curving lip. I’ve seen many reports of guys loving the original Neo 7.5 with Balls for prostate, and it for sure found its way into All Male Sex Toys’ list of anal dildo favorites. He picked this one as his top Neo Elite, saying, “I tried the 7.5 Incher with Balls and loved the exquisitely-shaped head and veined shaft.” (Before he wrote this guide, I was like, “Do you have a Neo Elite? We need to get you some Neo Elite! Peepshow Toys, send some Neo Elite to this man!”)

The pink glow one is interesting because it’s very pink in normal light, but then it’s somehow both purple and pink when “charged” fully. And the green: it’s bright and so neon.

Neo Elite Omnia & Tao Glow

The Omnia (G-/P-spot friendly) and the Tao (abstract) dildos are new, less-phallic additions to the Neo Elite Glow lineup (for 2021). They come in green and blue, respectively!

Neo Elite Omnia and Neo Elite Tao glow in the dark dildos, dual density silicone, in my closet
Glowing in my closet, in front of a bin of vagina plugs (not visible in the dark!).

The Omnia is my personal preference, of course, since its subtle head — the same shape as the Ergo Mini dual-density seen below — is indeed, still a head. And I need my dildos to have a ridge or bulb, for better massage as I thrust them! The Omnia in green, below, is compared to the firmer & silkier Avant D16 pastel dildo; and to the Ergo Mini, which is dual-density silicone just like the Omnia. Overall, I think the Avant pastel toy is the most spot-stimulating due to the semi-soft (not squishy-soft) firmness; and I would choose the Ergo Mini first between the two dual-density versions. The Omnia, in contrast to Ergo Mini, is a little slicker and a little stickier; it feels a tad more plasticky due to the finish, IMO. But, I mean, the Tao’s glowing green is a cooler look than the fuchsia currently available in Ergo Mini, so consider which qualities you prioritize in your toy!

Finally, the Tao dual-density dildo has a shape reminiscent of the Tantus Silks: plain-Jane, classic abstract dildos that are often chosen for harness play. This is absolutely the least-realistic-looking Neo Elite dildo, with no lifelike detailing or head or abstracted ball. The Tao Glow in the Dark Dildo does have super-light spiral textures, that you have to be concentrating hard to feel, due to the very-soft silicone. If you’d like those ridges to be more noticeable, consider the same toy shape in firmer silicone: the Temptasia Twist Kit’s “large” size uses the Tao’s mold. Do note that the heart base of the Tao & the Twist dildos is designed so you can unthinkingly slot it into a harness the right way; but a suction cup, it is not. This dildo will not stand upright on its own, it flops over; forget about it sticking to anything.

About the Dual-Density Silicone

The Neo Elite glow models feel very similar to the original Neo Elite by the same names: Neo Elite 7.5 Inch Cock and Neo Elite 7.5 Inch Cock with Balls. A.k.a. “the long one” and “the spot one.”1 The Glow in the Dark versions are minutely firmer,2 and my 7.5 Inch Glow feels a little slicker, vs. the skin-like matte of the original toy.

Both Neo Elite Glow in the Darks by Blush are testing between 1 and 4 shore A for the outside silicone, which means they are soft but not *the* softest. A user who’s accustomed to the ultra-squish of VixSkin or SuperSoft handmade items or “soft” fantasy dildos may notice; will perhaps find the Neo Elites a little less “fleshy” feeling. Most folks will not sense a difference. However, the touch-higher silicone firmness stabilizes the Neo Elite’s two layers, leaves them less prone to defect—like the core poking through the soft outside, or the silicone peeling like happened in both NS Nov. Colours Dual Density toys I got.

And I am thrilled to see exactly how each Neo Elite Glow’s core sits inside the toy. It’s like a science experiment for this dildologist: Examining each Neo Elite Glow, I get the sense I’m dissecting its dual-density composition—seeing its innards. Except I can still use the Neo Elite afterwards, instead of having a mangled toy. The core on one of my Neo Elite 7.5 Inch with Balls is slightly to one side, and there will be tiny variations on core position between many toys. The minor assymetry does not make the dildo feel any different inside me.

Every Blush Neo Elite Glow in the Dark dildo is platinum silicone, in both dual-density layers. Important because platinum silicone is by far the safest soft sex toy material: it’s resistant to bacteria and fungal growth. Versus PVC, which smells like shower curtains often and leaches chlorine and more; and versus TPE/TPR, a “real feel” material that starts to develop spots and turn colors with time and wetness, ack!

On Silicone and Translucency

We’ve long heard that one way you can distinguish a true silicone dildo from a porous, lower-quality “jelly” toy (PVC, etc.) is that silicone cannot be clear. So you look at the Neo Elite Glow in the Dark dildos and immediately realize you can see through them. Don’t be frightened: The material is translucent but not 100% clear.

Blush Neo Elite dual density translucent silicone

This appearance is very much within the realm of possibility for uncolored silicone. The suction cups and balls on the be-balled one3 on these Neo Elite phalluses do look semi-cloudy in certain lights, characteristic of a silicone toy.

Vs. Luminous Dual Density Dildos

I picked up this second popular line of dual-density GITD dildos recently, and I — a fan of big, protruding cockheads — love the Luminous Stud dildo to death. (My G-spot bonded with it instantly.)

My extra-wide tastes aside, all sizes of Luminous dildo are nice because they’re slightly softer outside than the Neo Elite toys. That outer layer is closer to the 00-50 Shore silicone (a fantasy toy crowd-favorite) that most users will interpret as fleshy. Oh, and the Luminous balls are even more squeezable than Neo Elite.

Luminous dildos glow a slightly paler blue than the Neo Elite 7.5 blue, and are light purple in the light.

More Glow in the Dark Dildo Recs

“Glow in the dark” toys have been common in the fantasy dildo community for a long time. These “GITD” items sometimes go hand-in-hand with UV-reactive pigments (which are really bright under a blacklight). You can actually “charge” a glow-in-the-dark dildo with a blacklight too.

Strontium aluminate is a common substance used for “chargeable” phosphoresence, i.e., you stick it in light and then it glows in the dark. This compound is nontoxic, nonflammable, and nonradioactive; and it can charge up again and again, for up to a couple decades’ total lifespan. That means you should be getting 10 to 20 years of good glow from your Neo Elite here.

Versatile = Doubles as Halloween decor?

How to charge a Neo Elite Glow in the Dark:

  1. Expose to direct light, for a good hour. Bright, direct sunlight (can be filtered through a window) or LED light work.
  2. Take into the dark within the next couple hours for glowing-est results.
  3. The darker, the better. Dark bedroom at night is how you’ll see your thighs glow best.
  4. The charge doesn’t last super-long: don’t expect to see it the next day. This is true of all glow dildos.

Back to other glow-in-the-dark dildo recommendations… The way that fantasy makers often work in “stock drops” makes a complete list impossible, because nothing is static. For example, you have to wait and see what toys Pleasure Forge (often) and Strange Bedfellas (not uncommon) may have in GITD / UV any given week, and snatch one before someone else does. And fantasy toys also tend to cost more due to being handmade in the USA (or elsewhere, in the case of a few Euro makers), so keep that in mind.

Do you truly love the glowstick look? Check out these glow-in-the-dark sex toy offerings (or see an all-in-one collection here), from both the realistic and less-realistic toy realms:

  • Neo Elite Dual Density Glow, the star here.
  • Addiction Rave dildos are my favorite for silicone feel in a smoother toy. (see photo at end of this list vs. Neo Elite glow!). It’s a pretty soft silicone (10A), a smooth but not slick finish, and each Addiction Rave has a “posable” core to bend in different directions. Rave’s silicone is more comfortable for deep-spot play for me, as the surface finish is nicer than the Neo Glows’ veins, IMO.
  • The Luminous dildos, which are even softer and fleshier than Neo Elite. The big one (Stud) has the most impactful head (love it); the average sized one is the most realistic & just very usable on an everyday basis; and the small one is short, under 4 inches insertable, with some serious ripples under the head that make it less realistic-feeling.
  • Performance Silicone Glo cock rings by Blush: fit around the base of the penis, to make an erection harder and longer-lasting.
  • BMS Addiction glow in the dark (“Luke” and “Brandon”): Not bad, not bad. The swirled “cotton candy” marble is cute. But I have to say the Neo Elite’s dual-density look is cooler.
  • NS Firefly silicone masturbators: A squishy-soft silicone penis stroker option that glows blue. Check back this weekend if you want a full review, it’s on the way!
  • NS Firefly 5 Inch and 8 Inch: Firmer silicone glow in the dark dildos; review of the average-size 5 Inch here.
  • Paladin Pleasure Rainbow marble UV + GITD marble. I’m dying, this is so striking. $25 for a rainbow that glows at night added to any toy’s base price.
  • Uberrime uses GITD in toys including “Alien Probe Thing,” one color of Xenuphora tentacle, and Essential in GITD green or blue. Also in Uberrime’s SheVibe-sponsored Jellyfish and Deep Diver large tentacle.
  • Bad Dragon has a few toys that describe “glow” in either their natural or signature colors, such as Nocturne. Custom colors with glow are now closed.
  • NS’s Firefly line includes borosilicate glass butt plugs, too.
  • Godemiche (UK) makes Ambit in GITD.
  • A glow-in-the-dark sex board game too, why not?
Addiction Rave dildos vs. Neo Elite Omnia glow-in-the-dark sex toys
Addiction Rave in blue-purple (top) is the most vibrant; the Rave in blue-green (bottom) is a super color scheme, but its neon green isn’t quite as bright as the Neo Elite in green (bottom).

Seriously, these Neo Elite Glow in the Darks are part of a rare group of sex toys where I don’t even need to worry about the review photo backdrop. No interesting patterns, or flowers, or trinkets or whatever. The Neo Elite glow dildos look so chill just by themselves. (In the dark … 🔦🍆)

Final Glow in the Dark Neo Dildo Thoughts

Honestly, the question isn’t if you should buy a Neo Elite Glow in Dark Dildo, but which color you should buy. That’s the hard choice. If you like sex toys, it’s worth having a Blush Novelties Neo Glow simply to look at. And see the inside, how a dual-density silicone toy is composed.

But they’re not just eye candy, they are also very practical: the best affordable realistic-feel choice that’s 100% silicone. With strong suction cups, and harness-ready too, if you desire.

Pick the 7.5 Inch with Balls if you want a head that homes in on your spot (G- or P-), targeted but soft; or go for the 7.5 Inch (no balls) for a long length that opens you up gradually.

NOTES

  1. We’re all a little confused about the Neo Elite names, I believe (two 7.5 Inchers but one’s a lot longer?!).
  2. Mine have a minor variance, but it’s normal for Shore readings to vary 1 to 2A durometer points between batches, and my Glow models are roughly 1 point firmer than their counterparts from the original Neo Elite series, so this may not even be a thing, and you’re unlikely to notice any difference when using the toy.
  3. The thickest “clear” parts.

  1. you mentioned that the one without balls (the longer one) is great for sticking on the shower or on the floor due to its length but did not mention the same for the one with balls… how does the one with balls compare maneuverability-wise? I liked that the one with balls is curved but am worried that I might not be able to stick it on as many laces if it is less maneuverable.

    Reply
    • The 7.5 with Balls is simply less usable for me as a suction cup toy because it’s shorter, an inch less insertable length. I prefer more length for hands-free toys like this. Both dildos will bend some: the 7.5 Inch (no balls) is actually a little more flexible.

  2. I have the orange glow in the dark, it’s a REALLY GREAT dildo! Perfect really! Easy insertion and feels like a million bucks! Try one, the price is right too!

  3. I have my eye on those 7.5″ with balls as an anal/prostate toy. I kind of like the without balls version, but for one thing it’s just way more length than my roughly 4.5″ rectum needs, and I want more girth and texture upfront rather than tapering. Some of the reviews I’ve read have said there’s a slight difference in texture between the opaque silicone of the non-glow versions and the translucent silicone on these. What do you think? And if there is a difference, which one would you recommend for anal? Thanks! 😘

    Reply
    • Hi, yes, I agree that there’s a slight difference in texture as well as firmness between (1) Neo Elite original & (2) Neo Elite Glow. I think the Glow toys are fun in a novelty way, and they’re not bad or anything, but the original silicone feels better IMO. So I would recommend the 7.5 Inch w/ Balls orange or pink to you, because I think the extra lil bit of softness outside is better suited for anal. I think it’s a teeny smoother in terms of how it glides as well, though I’d definitely recommend good lubricant.

      • Ah, that’s too bad. I like how the glow in the dark ones look, but my main priority is getting a nice soft toy that’ll be easy on my butt. And honestly, since it’s going in my butt, I’m not really going to see it while it’s in use. Thank you so much for your help. Your reviews have been invaluable in my search for a good dildo. I’ll definitely use your referral code on Peep Show.

  4. Hi, which onen has the best suction cup? I plan on using one on the mirror, in the shower and pool with my boyfriend. I also really like g spot pressure, though… Thanks!

    Reply
    • Hi! I think the 7.5 Inch ones have the best suction cup, though the 7.5 Inch with Balls version is pretty good when you press it down (push the air inside the suction cup down harder) before using—and the Balls version is better for G-spot stim. I don’t think there’s a difference in suction strength between original and Glow versions.

      Hope that helps!

  5. Hello! I’ve decided to go with the Neo Elite Glow with balls and now, as you said, I have a problem with choosing the color. Could you tell me which one glows brighter in person?
Thank you, your reviews have been very helpful!
