A dildo with handle has 2 big benefits: it lets your sex partner thrust harder & deeper into you, or it’s easier if you’re working to reach around your body!
I define a “handle” as a longer extension from the dildo’s base: A grip you can really hold on to, not a simple suction cup base or small balls on a realistic dildo. Unfortunately, safe be-handled dildos with a good long grip are strangely rare: many, like Doc Johnson’s, are in gross PVC!
So, we’ve rounded up a small selection of body-safe silicone dildos with handle, plus one stainless steel dildo with handle attachment for extra pressure & slickness. I’ll compare each handle-equipped dildo or vibrator, give pros & cons, and discuss my & my partner’s experiences — versus the very easiest thrusting option, a sex machine: no dildo handle necessary.
Best-Of Dildos with Handle:
Ask yourself (1) whether you want a firm toy, vs. a soft & realistic dildo; and (2) should it vibrate?

- Lowest priced body-safe; slick hardness⛸️🪙: Glas dildos, especially Purple Rain & 10-Inch Dual

Nonvibrating Dildos with Handle
Glass Dildos with Hand Grips
The following glass dildos have a textured lower section that can be gripped better than a slick, lubed-up shaft by itself. Double glass dildos are especially good here, several with 10″ total length (when average vaginal depth is 4.7″!).
- 10″ Double Trouble⬆️: I use the nubby end as a handle to grip, while penetrating myself with the swirly-spiral end. Textures help if you’re using slicker lube, like Uberlube or any silicone lubricant, to avoid slippage. It’s so slick still in smooth glass.
- Purple Rain dildo: Use the ripply end as a handle since it has 4 grooves to contain fingers, then the bulbous end is a G-spot dildo! Or flip it around, and insert the ripples to feel more: serious waves🌊.
- 10.5″ Monster Glass dildo: If you like huge girth, this is the one. It’s the dildo with handle that makes me cum fastest – since I do like girths wider than 99% of penises. Most people prefer smaller girth for their dildos. Warmup required: it’s seriously thick + hard.
- Blown Double Ended: Gentler swirly ripples. This one’s handle is a tad shorter, and it’s reversible / dual-ended too. The swirly side works best for twisting side-to-side, while the abstract penis look is better to thrust IMO.
- Heart of Glass dildo: A glass classic, the Heart-handle lets you angle this toy’s rounded tip inward, for G-spot targeting. Adorable, but the least-easy to grip.
Rascal Jocks & Boneyard Cocks – Realistic Silicone Dildos with Handle
Pros: Phallic shape for fans of realism; skin detailing; Sturdiest dildo handle. Imposing size!
Cons: No vibration; Silicone is a lil draggy and fairly soft, but not super-soft. Only in girthy sizes.
Currently $73.49 to $84.49 (Check Price here)
The best dildo handle overall because it’s so firm, with decent finger-holds. The Rascal/Boneyard dildos’ handle is solid and unyielding, supported by a metal core. It’s silicone-coated with gentle notches for grip:
The handle on these two toys (tan-colored here; or black here) is removable, so that you can swap in a suction cup base instead if you like. The handle plug will also fit into Vac-hole dildos like SquarePegHoles in SuperSoft silicone, if you like a gentler feel. The Boneyard/Rascal toys are as hard as an erection, but lack a soft-skin feel. And they’re significantly thicker than median penis size!
I lube mine up with hybrid lubricant and have liked my partner thrusting it gently, nice slow strokes, building up to pound me a lil harder at last. It’s sexy, though not as hot for me as a dual-density dildo (which I prefer for ultra-realistic effect).
Tantus Echo Dildo with Handle
Pros: OG dildo with handle; Stimulating ridges; More average girth; Non-realistic shape will appeal to some.
Cons: Wiggly handle. Not for gentler pressure.

Perhaps the first body-safe silicone dildo with handle, by the pioneer silicone brand Tantus (founded 1997).
Years ago, I thought the Echo (vibrating) dildo was very fun in softer silicone. I loved that Echo dildo’s gentle pop-pop-pop, ridges on repeat, thrusting against my G-spot. Handled Echo is harder, a 40A Shore silicone. Silicone is the only body-safe material that can be soft—in a range of different “densities”—but it can also be hard! That’s awesome because truly, different strokes for different folks. But, Echo Handle’s firm silicone doesn’t suit my taste for gentler & softer.
Echo Handle will be a better bet for anyone who loves pressure inside (vaginally or anally), smoothly rippling. The silicone ridges are smoothed out, and glide well with hybrid lubricant. Interestingly, since the Echo’s handle thins out to only 1.1″ diameter, it’s the most flexible part of the toy. The Echo Handle’s total length is 11.5 inches, of which 4.25 inches comprise the handle.
Using Extra-LONG Dildos’ Shafts As a Handle
My first favorite dual-density dildo was almost 8 inches insertable length, and I can only take 5.5 inches vaginally: The extra inches were a shaft-handle I could choke up on, while thrusting the dildo into my vagina! Currently, I’d pick the Leo by SquarePegToys first as the best extra-long dildo where the shaft length acts as a handle for my not-long hole.
You can also use a double dildo’s extra length as a handle: that’s easier if a partner is the one thrusting a long, straight dildo like the Colours Pleasure Double! That one is made of NS Novelties’ firm silicone, so it’ll bend a little, but isn’t über-flexible to curve into the dildo-taker’s body.
Vibrating Dildo with Handle Sex Toys
Smartee – Silicone Vibrating Dildo with Handle
Vibration power: 7.0/10 on high. Function #1 is rumbliest.
Pros: Strong G-spotting head; Flexible shaft (more gentle, wraps around pubic bone); Silicone is more skin-like than slick metal.
Cons: May require more lubricant than metal; Some folks will prefer more realistic penetration.
Currently $49.99 (CHECK PRICE here)
This is the best G-spot dildo with handle I own. The Smartee is just the right amount of G-spot focus for me. Its head connects with the spot as I thrust, as the Smartee’s lower shaft flexes to wrap around my pubic bone.
Letting my boyfriend use the Smartee has been my best handled-toy experience overall. It showed us how a handled dildo can deliver extra depth and more intensity. I really like my G-spot stroked from above, the down-stroke is most sensational, so the handle (angled sideways) let him get a lil deeper and work on that perfect stroke — as he was sitting beside me, while I lay back on pillows in bed.
The vibration is respectable: pretty strong, rumbly on the lower levels. (Smartee has 10 vibration functions total built into its shaft: 3 steady speeds + 7 rhythms.)
Capo – Stainless Steel Vibrating Dildo with Handle
Vibration power: 6.5/10 on high. Somewhat buzzy.
Pros: Super-slick finish glides; Extra-firm pressure; seriously strong G-spotting.
Cons: Stainless steel absorbs more vibration strength; included bullet vibrator is higher-pitched than in Smartee. Not for die-hard fans of softer, realistic dildos: this is pressure!

Capo by L’Acier / Velvet Co. is the same shape as the Smartee above: except it’s so much denser (=harder). And slicker too!!! The stainless steel delivers so much heft in the G-spotting head. It seriously homes in.
I’m averse to extreme pressure, so I do personally prefer Smartee’s silicone. I would not give this to a partner to use on me, since I feel too much. But many folks feel differently, they love the extreme firmness of stainless steel like in the legendary Njoy Pure Wand. Steel also glides smoother than silicone, less drag. Plus, you can easily clean silicone lubricant off of Capo. (And silicone lube is often the best option for vaginas that’ve been troubled by sensitivity to water-based lubricants!)
Viben Sultry – Most Ergonomic Wand Handle
Vibration power: 8.25/10 on high. Very rumbly through the first 5 speeds (out of 8 intensity levels). Good speed range.
Pros: Light-weight for a wand; curvy handle makes it easier to hold;
Cons: Clitoral, not insertable, unless you like wide toys.

❤️ My go-to large wand because it’s just so much easier to hold vs. Magic Wand’s thick cylinder. Sultry’s handle curves inward, so it’s slimmer and simpler to choke up on. This is really useful if holding the Sultry during doggy-style sex, for one.
The 8 intensity levels have a good range from low and very rumbly, to quite strong (8.25/10 power) and still rumbly enough (8/10 for rumbliness on high vibration intensity). My boyfriend agrees that maneuvering Sultry is simple, as we’ve often used it as foreplay tool. (Overall, he does think the Wellness Eternal Wand, above, is the very best grip for him; but I prefer the Sultry’s lower, rumblier warmup speeds!)
Sex Machines – Hands-Free Thrusting Power
A good sex machine / fucking machine is an investment, but one that’s sooo worth it if you like thrusting and motion. Watching a partner take a dildo mounted on a sex machine is extremely hot.
And, it’s much lazier than needing to jerk the dildo by hand(le). Especially if you want to enjoy a long-running or slower-stroking penetration session. Mind-blowing, is all. Fantastic. My machine is a must-have in my sex life:
My Hismith Premium has been a standby for 3 years now, and I’m incredibly pleased with its performance. It holds up well for vaginal and anal sex, with all but monster-sized dildos. It’s much more vigorous vs. the other two $400 machines I’ve tested, and also more impactful vs. the “basic” Hismith thrusting dildo machines (which are beginner-friendly, but don’t have the torque of the 100W-motor Premium machines).
It’s wall-outlet-powered (plug-in), so it will keep running and running and running, as long as you want. For clit-havers: I’d suggest pairing a Hismith machine with either: (1) a no-grip bullet vibrator, (2) small-but-strong wand vibrator, or (3) a soft-capped shroom vibe if you like squishy grinding like I do. Enjoy!!!
