Rose Vibrator Review: Strongest Toy Under $40

The Inya Rose Vibrator is BLOW ME AWAY clit suction! With deep vibration paired with air pulses, the 2024 Inya Rose is fantastic fun, as its sucking rumbles too.

It’s not all sunshine and… roses 😄, however. This Rose vibrator review will cover its pros & cons, all its intensity levels, how easy it is to use, and how to charge and clean the Rose. Among suction stimulators, it’s excellently strong for its price, but not the most convenient overall. Let’s see why…

My Rose Suction Vibe Experience

Listen, for only $42, I was pretty sure this “Viral Rose sex toy”‘s popularity was pure hype — before I opened my Rose’s box. Take note: Not all Rose vibrators out there are equally strong, so I’ve put together a power-comparison guide here. But the NS Novelties Inya Rose I got in 2020 was like: GODDAMN this is crazy!

That Rose vibrator rumbles, and it pulses, and it sucks some too. All at the time time. Fast, and strong. Update now in 2023: The Inya Rose is still matched with the strongest Rose toys, but is not as strong. Its vibrations are still rumblier than similar suction clit toy choices, though.

The Inya Rose suctions OK. (Most air pulsation stimulators just puff air outward, don’t suction inward.) It does not pull in and stick hard to your vulva like Maia Destiny does. For a pulsing-vibrator that’s now more extreme, I recommend the Firefly moon vibrator’s tighter suction mouth (reviewed here).

The Rose is super-cute, but it’s also more work to clean (bummer). That, and the tighter mouth, are the reasons why I’m preferring the Firefly Dream these days among pure air-pulse vibrators, over the Inya Rose. See the white debris remaining on the Rose, below:

Rose Vibrator Inya vs. Moon Vibrator Firefly Dream

The Inya Rose may still feel quite powerful for new air-pulse toy users. The touch-free focus of air pulsation technology is somethin’ else, different from a vibrator’s traveling waves. If you’re more sensitive:

Lovehoney’s Rose toy, which isn’t a vibrator like the Inya Rose.

The Lovehoney Rose is the gentlest of the bunch; light air-puffs, no vibration. Here are tips on choosing between Rose vibrators: It depends how much strength you need to orgasm. I like moderately powerful, but not BOWL ME OVER right on my clit like the Inya Rose.

The Rose “bulb” body sits comfortably in my palm. I also really like closing it between my thighs, tight, and rocking my hips so I feel like my clit is fucking that air-pulsing mouth. It’s fine for solo use, but it’s NOT the simplest to use if (1) I’m being penetrated vaginally (there, goooo Melt!), or (2) I’m playing with my bf in anyway, as the Rose’s shape is a wide bulb, with no handle.

When the Rose’s stimulation gets too intense for my sensitive clit (a common thing), then I’ll move the mouth down to below my clit, where my clitoral hood ends right in front of my urethra. For a break. When I’ve gotten used to the OMG power of the Rose toy, usually 15 minutes in after a few such breaks, then I’m finally able to orgasm. By rocking it gently until I can let go and pulling the mouth back, a quarter inch away from my skin, as I orgasm. Because you cannot turn down the intensity quickly on this sex toy. For $41.99, I think it’s a forgivable flaw in the Inya Rose toy.

The circular mouth does suction well, as mentioned. The Rose petals are slightly lower down, and flexible, so they don’t poke. This Rose’s only thorns are it’s tremendous power — not suitable for anyone who needs a more delicate, or gradually progressing, clit stimulation experience.

It is so cute, do you even need to hide the Rose? I can totally see leaving this toy out on a nightstand or bathroom counter absentmindedly even if you live with kids or other family you don’t want inspecting your sexual wellness collection. 😉 It’s home decor, right?!

Rose Vibration Intensities & Functions

The Inya Rose Suction Vibe has 10 functions. All 10 combine:

You turn on the Rose vibrator by pressing the single control button quickly, then keep pressing it to cycle through the next 9 vibing-pulsing functions. Three of the 10 functions are steady speeds, and the remaining seven are patterned vibration / rhythms.

I rate the 2023 Inya Rose’s top intensity as an 8.5 out of 10, meaning it’s quite strong but not the strongest air pulse vibrator (that’s the Premium 2 by Womanizer; recap here). Firefly Dream’s tighter mouth makes its directed pressure feel more intense to me; while the Satisfyer Pro 2 Gen 3 has a better range from whispery gentleness, to top-power clit stimulation (due to having 8 more built-in steady speeds than the Inya Rose!).

As mentioned, there are many Rose vibrators out there now, by different Chinese sellers and manufacturers. This review covers the one by NS Novelties, with a distinctly rumbly vibrating edge; it does not apply to the Sohimi Rose and others.

Inya Rose Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Strong clit stimulation, affordable price.
  • Focused pressure, yet touch-free.
  • Body-safe silicone.
  • Water-resistant & rechargeable.
  • Rumbly vibration built in.
  • Cute & compact.

Cons

How to Charge the Rose Vibrator / Cleaning

The charging base is nice on this Rose vibrator. It makes it seemer even cuter and discreeter. You charge the Rose vibrator by lining up the magnetic prongs on the Rose’s bottom with the nodes on the flat base. You may need to twist the Rose a little to get the magnets to line up correctly: the power button should be right above where the cord emerges from the charging base. You’ll know it’s charging when the power button flashes on and off.

This suction stimulator is a smooth, medium-firm silicone. Like any good body-safe sex toy, it will not degrade when touching other safe toys, nor will the Rose harbor bacteria over time (like how jelly toys get gross).

Since the Inya Rose suction vibe is waterproof, you can take it in the shower or lie back in the bath with it underwater.

It’s more work cleaning around the petals in this clitoral stimulator than most toys. The Rose really requires water-based lubricant, and that and your own fluids will sit in the gaps between “petals” if the toy isn’t cleaned right after you’re done using it (and maybe even then). The petals are flexible enough that you can push them back to clean the fluids off, it just takes a minute or two longer than a normal suction stimulator.

The Rose’s inner mouth is big enough to stick your little finger in, and run it around inside it too to get lube out. DO NOT stick your finger in and scrub if you have long & pointy nails, which will damage the silicone. Use a Q-tip and/or trim your nails first. And, I would not recommend sanitizing this toy with 70% isopropyl alcohol or 10% bleach solution, as the petals are more difficult to remove those cleaning agents from, plus the gold finish on the ABS plastic underneath the Rose might be affected. You can use a tea-tree-oil-based cleaner instead.

Rose Recap & Ranking

The NS Inya Rose packs in a good amount of strength, for being under $50. I prefer it to other Rose toys because this Inya version has rumblier vibration under the air-pulse “suction” stimulation.

The trade-off for the Rose’s low price is NOT that it’s made of unsafe materials, happily. It’s great for anyone who wants a 100% strong toy! But… compared to more premium clit toys, the Rose fails in two ways:

  1. The speed range: It moves from “really strong” to “super-duper strong,” with no low settings.
  2. Single-button control: You can’t back down 1 function without hitting the power button 9 times.

The Rose is cute, waterproof, and has a safe silicone body (with nonporous ABS plastic bottom + charging base). Ultimately, I never have used the Rose regularly because I prefer a more ergonomic-to-hold product; the Rose’s circular mouth doesn’t surround my clitoris as well as oval-shaped toys, and the rounded body is also slightly clunky to hold onto—whereas I prefer to rock and rub my pulsing vibrators over my clitoris. (My all-time favorite air-pusling clit toys are the Unihorn’s air-tongueing (!!!) vibes & the easy-grip Melt.)

  2. Do you know how deep the hole is? I’m thinking about getting it but I’m on testosterone, depth wise the Curvy 1+ is barely deep enough for me. Thank you!!

    • The Rose is going to be WAY too short for you if the Curvy 1+ is a tight fit! I don’t know of any air-pulse toys with a “throat” longer than the Curvy 1+ (except the Curvy 2+, which is longer but the mouth isn’t as wide; or the Curvy 2+, similar).

Have you seen the Vedo Grip?! I’m thinking it would be a better fit, especially if you’re still growing. It’s a vibrator instead of air pulsation, but Vedo makes nice strong vibe motors in general.

  3. I’ve noticed some conflicting information online regarding this toy’s waterproofness. NS Novelties say (on their site) that it’s only water resistant. Can I clean it straight under the faucet or will it become damaged? How do you clean it?

    Reply
    • “Water-resistant” or “splashproof” means IPX 4-6, tested to withstand sprays of splashing water. It can be washed in the sink just fine, and taken into the shower as well.

  4. I work at a sex shop and our display ‘Inya Rose’ is currently charging as we have completely sold out!! I wanted to see for myself what it was like – and this review helped a BUNCH! Thanks so much!!!

    • It carries a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty against defect. The Inya Rose is made by the manufacturer NS Novelties & their site has info.

However, reputable toy shops don’t accept products back if you simply don’t like them; that’s very different from a defect.

I’d compare customers who demand returns on working vibrators to someone ordering a meal at a restaurant, and then demanding a refund because the food didn’t taste like they expected it would. There was nothing wrong with the food, mind you; it just didn’t meet the idea the individual had about the flavor when ordering.

    • Absolutely, all Rose versions are going to be damn loud. Powerful toys are typically loud.

I like to recommend the Pillow Talk Racy as the best vibe that’s not loud & still has some good rumble & solid power; maybe a 7/10 for vibration intensity, which I actually prefer over the Rose’s super-strength!
