Uberrime Splendid Vita, the Silicone
This Splendid Vita is made of 1 kind of soft silicone (split into two parts and swirled together, for the marble effect). It’s flexible, and the head is forgiving and really nice to squeeze your vag muscles around. (More on that in my experience!) This is a perfect G-spot dildo for folks who get overwhelmed by hardness, like the rigid steel of the Njoy Pure Wand.
If you’re familiar with shore durometer and fantasy silicone, the Uberrime Splendid Vita tests between 1.5 and 3A Shore. That’s harder than an 00-50 “medium” fantasy toy.1 It’s not extra-squishy or SuperSoft, but it’s quite yielding. (Softer than the “firm” 10A density that fantasy makers tend to offer.)
The Splendid Vita by Uberrime Dildos is an interesting contrast with the original dual-density Uberrime Splendid. That dual Splendid has two layers of silicone: a touch softer than the Vita outside, and then with a hard core underneath. All dual-density dildos’ two-layer composition is meant to give the most erect feel: to imitate soft skin plus hardness.
And that’s cool, I love realistic dils. But what if you just like soft and flexible, no hard core? Dildos that squish and that really bend with your hole as you move them? The Splendid Vita is something of a mid-point: pretty darn soft, but not gummy-squishy. It’s best with fast rubbing or clenching around (especially in tandem with a clit toy). Or for anyone who gets overstimulated by firm cores in dual dildos. Firmness preferences vary so widely individually: I’ve heard about the same dildo from different folks that it was both (1) too hard and (2) not enough pressure to be effective. The Splendid Vita Story?
Here’s how a beautiful dildo is born: Uberrime’s founder Marco saw that I was reviewing a Vac-U-Lock fucking machine and, helpfully, offered to redo his Large Splendid to accommodate that Vac hole attachment—he’d gotten multiple requests for a Vac-compatible toy before.
So we looked at colors. I considered some of Uberrime’s recent work, on the Twitter feed, and was drawn to a shining royal purple. What would compliment it well? I wondered. I saw that the color’s name was “NOLA purple” (NOLA being shorthand for New Orleans, Louisiana), and I immediately thought of Bourbon Street and Mardi Gras. Laissez les bon temps rouler, and all. I could use more of that spirit in 2020.
So I asked Marco to pour a Splendid Vac hole in NOLA purple and this greeny-teal with silver glitter that Uberrime calls “Pearl Aqua.”
I chose two Carnival-esque colors—they reminded me of Mardi Gras—because I wanted to say, “This dildo looks glorious, your sex is uniquely beautiful, and we all gotta find the time to celebrate in life.”
And that toy did turn out glorious, and I got reader compliments on the color scheme. But the Large Splendid is 2 inches wide, with a big bulb of a head and pretty loooong too… And not everyone wants that much.
The medium Splendid mold is already large-headed enough, 1.7 inches wide at its G-spot-targeting ridge.
I like the medium Splendid’s shape best anyway, to be honest. So we asked Marco to pour that original Uberrime Splendid in the 2-color purple + green-teal-silver. 2–3A Shore was picked because it is, again, soft but not ultra-squishy—and it’s much easier to do a crisp, swirling marble consistently if the silicone isn’t super-soft.
I wanted the feathery marbled effect, befitting the Mardi Gras theme. So the first Splendid Vita was born, and heading my way in the mail soon…
Splendid Unboxing…
I was excited to see how this new Uberrime Splendid had turned out! Especially because marbled silicone has a mind of its own—no handmade silicone toy poured in multiple colors will ever be the same as its friends from the same batch.
The Uberrime Splendid Vita comes packaged in a sealed plastic bag with the Uberrime logo and product name. Just open it right up and admire it… I started taking pictures right away, and wanted to show the world how good-looking this platinum silicone toy was.
It’s so pleasing just to turn the toy around and around, see what the rippled marble is doing on every side. Every angle is different. And the base has Uberrime’s characteristic flowery-outline swirls.
My Uberrime Splendid Vita turned out with an almost-solid-purple head! I like that; the feathery marbling really takes hold right above the coronal ridge, leaving the tip that vibrant purple-purple. So purple, and shiny.
So I squeezed it in my hands, tested the density, then washed off my Splendid Vita with soap and water—and went to work!
My Experience
The Splendid Vita, like the original Uberrime Splendid, has a forward curve and a ridge that juts out to push and pull on your spot: G-spot or prostate.
As noted, it is much more flexible than the original, so it’s closer to a fantasy dildo than to the firmer dildos you’ll still see mostly produced (en masse) by large sex toy manufacturers.2 If you do want the most consistent pressure while thrusting, then I recommend the original Splendid dual-density still.
The 2 to 3A density of the Splendid Vita, in this 1.7 inch diameter, is spot-on for being squeezable but not too wiggly.3
The Splendid Vita’s shaft bends quite a bit as I thrust, faster and faster. I enjoy that because the shaft can stimulate the front of my vaginal mouth (tons of nerve endings there) as well as wrap around to massage underneath my clit. Those are my favorite hot spots: G-spot + front vag mouth + below-the-clit. And the Splendid Vita is getting them all.
I jiggle and move the Splendid’s head to the ridge is tugging down on my G-spot and I feel its size. In short bursts, I go faster… occasionally slow down… and enjoy the soft pulling. And the size of the head.

The Uberrime Splendid is long enough that, if desired, I can also go a little deeper. I get light A-spot + cervical stim from thrusting deep, for example, or just keeping the Splendid Vita’s full 6 inches inserted.
The veiny shaft textures (long ripples running down Splendid’s front) feel a little less promiment in the Splendid Vita, with the soft silicone. The biggest swirly-curved-vein, an inch above the base in front, is very light vulva stimulation that I notice if I slow down and focus on it, but won’t notice when either (1) moving the Splendid Vita fast or (2) keeping it still.
The smooth, big-ridged head is no doubt the most noticeable feature of this dildo. Again, for rubbing on G- / P-spot.
A lot of fantasy dildos aren’t designed for G-spot stimulation, so it’s really sweet to have this soft option for gentler spot pressure. And I’ve mentioned the ridge, right?! My G-spot has definite opinions about dildo head size and shape—the head is almost always the critical part of a sex toy for me. And the Splendid Vita’s protruding corona here, in the yielding silicone, meets my standards.

On Soft Platinum Silicone: Care
Uberrime Dildos only creates toys from platinum silicone that’s been tested skin-safe.4 Cosmetic pigments are safely blended within, and fully encapsulated, inside the platinum-grade silicone.
For general use, you can just wash the Uberrime Splendid Vita with normal soap and water. As with any silicone toy, antibacterial soap or toy cleaner is not needed, as long as you have acccess to running water.
If you want to deep-clean, follow any of these methods.
As a soft toy, the Splendid Vita has more dimethicone (silicone oil) in its silicone structure. So you may want to refrain from storing / drying this Uberrime Splendid on top of thin-coated silicone vibrators like Sassy or the We-Vibe Melt. The vibe could absorb a little of the silicone oil and its surface may bubble temporarily.
And as a handmade item, the Splendid will have a few nicks / lines / irregularities in the base ring (it’s hard to get that perfect circle!). Since the entire body of a silicone toy is nonporous, surface dents or nicks don’t affect safety. This toy should hold up to use for literal decades.
Overall Uberrime Splendid V. Thoughts
The Uberrime Splendid Vita bundles aesthetic appeal and orgasms. It’s named “Vita” (= life) with the thought that, “What is life for, if we can’t find beauty and pleasure amidst it?” I asked for lots of feathery marbling, for a Mardi Gras theme.
This soft silicone toy is more flexible than the original Uberrime Splendid, so I’m loving thrusting it fast and feeling the shaft bend to massage under my clit. - The 00 scale tests softer things than the A scale, so the 00-50 often called just “5” in fantasy circles is very different from 5A shore density.
- Like my first realistic silicone dildo purchase, part of the Colours Pleasures line by NS Nov. However, this is changing, as big makers are starting to produce softer silicone, it’s so popular.
- I like my dildos that are less than 2 inches wide to be soft but not as soft as an 00-50 fantasy toy: silicone in the same density/firmness feels harder the wider it gets. And for average-size toys (closer to 1.5 inches diameter, median penis width), 00-50 is simply floppy for me.
- Smooth-On products tested ISO (International Organization of Standardization) 10993-10, tests for skin sensitization / long-term safety for keeping the material on human skin. This is the closest we have to body-safe certification, since sex toys are not regulated by government agencies—nor do we want them to be, as government regulation would substantially raise toy prices, kill smaller & indie brands, and likely create a steaming pile of unnecessary bureaucracy.
