The Alex Noise by BS Is Nice (a.k.a. BS Atelier) is dildo art, plain and simple. My collection includes more and more pretty marbled dildos,1 but the Alex Noise (Light Blue) is the one I’d pick first to display if I had really open-minded friends coming over for dinner. It’s elegant. And not only that, but the Alex dildo has lovely curves that work well in use too.
Paint Splatters and Dildo Individuality
Like any work of art (or person!), the Alex Noise is custom: no one Alex Noise is exactly like another. While exploring the fantasy toy world, I’ve seen my fair share of custom-made marbled dildos, but I’ve never seen anything like the Alex Noise’s splattered-paint effect. No one else besides BS Atelier does this type of coloration. Also, no other toy maker pulls off the crazy-precise stripes that BS Atelier does. They must have their silicone-curing process down to a science to be able to get these (thin!) different-colored stripes to stick together without the colors mixing together.
And like all good art, each hand-made Alex Noise comes at a higher price than a single-colored, mass-produced-in-China dildo. (I definitely have a number of cheaper body-safe dildos that I enjoy using; I don’t mean that they’re in any way bad.) If you’re like me and you have serious expenses, then any over-$50 dildo had damn well better perform too, rather than just sitting around and looking nice. So let me tell you a little more about the Alex Noise in use so you can decide whether it might work for you!
Specs
The Alex Noise has a nice length for me, at about 6.3″ insertable length. When the toy’s curve is straightened out, its length is very similar to the Tantus Alan’s. But unlike Alan, the Alex Noise is definitely nonrealistic because of its elongated, tapered head. This taper continues as the Alex reaches its maximum diameter, about 1.4″, right at the base.Happily for my G-spot, the Alex Noise still has a nice, protruding coronal ridge, along with a slight curve. The Alex shares this very-effective forward curve with my favorite BS Atelier dildo, the Nude.
And as for the topic I’m most fascinated with, dildo firmness, the Alex Noise is somewhere in between soft and hard. Its 15A-shore silicone2 means that the toy isn’t squishy like, say, a Tantus Super Soft dildo or the even-softer outer layer of VixSkin silicone. But it’s also not firm like Tantus’ single density (discussed in my Vamp review) or Fun Factory dildos. The Alex Noise can be bent entirely in half, but it resists pressure and snaps back to its natural shape when I let go. This means that the Alex won’t bend backward when it’s thrust quickly.
In Use: A Fingering Dildo?
Alex’s smaller, tapered size makes it a great toy for fast thrusting. The elongated, curved head gives a sensation that I can only compare to being caressed by two very long fingers. Alex’s wavy head and flattened coronal ridge tease my insides. I also like bending Alex’s lower shaft as much as possible, to hit the underside of my clit on the way out.
All together, the toy’s shape means that it’s my go-to warm-up dildo. I really love dildos with weighty heads for more intense G-spot pressure, so Alex’s smaller, tapered size makes it a bit more gentle than I usually prefer in the end. Alex is also a very smooth ride because of the lack of shaft texture and the fairly glossy silicone.
Conclusion: Yay High-Quality Dildo Art
There’s no doubt that BS Atelier’s Alex Noise is an artisan dildo, and I’m glad to have such a beautiful, quality toy in my collection. It’s not only arty and made by a sex-positive, feminist company, but I find that it is a good thrusting toy too. I prefer to use it as a warm-up to larger dildos and/or alongside a good bullet vibe, or on days when I do need more gentle stimulation.
And though I enjoy thrusting with the Alex Noise, it’s not my new-big-thing dildo like the Nude is. That said, I would definitely recommend Alex to anyone looking for a more abstract G-spotting toy that’s not overly large or firm.

I’d like to thank BS Atelier and SheVibe for sending me this beautiful toy in exchange for my honest review.
