Alive Caribbean Shine Review: Sucking Rabbit w/ G-Spot Pulsation Vibrator

A “blowjob rabbit” vibrator: Seriously?! The Alive Caribbean Shine is the closest thing I’ve ever felt to clitoral sucking AND G-spot massage with skilled fingers — not to mention, it’s got solidly good vibration too. This Shine is by far the best sex toy I’d never heard of — until I was sent a surprise sample, that changed what I thought was possible with a vibrator. Because the Alive Shine does not pulse air outward like a Womanizer or Satisfyer sex toy…

Instead, it sucks inward around the clitoris, creating little slurps that sound infinitely hot and feel even better, in combo with the rumbly vibration. And THEN, the big circle up top pulses and thumps against my G-spot, which is super-fun and even better when I rock the Alive Shine’s handle back and forth. The built-in pulsation is extra-good when I add a little thrusting in. This Alive Caribbean Shine review will (1) contain a lot of intensifiers (“super”! “extra”! “very”!) as I describe how incredibly enjoyable I’ve found this pulsing + sucking rabbit; and (2) cover the Caribbean Shine’s functions and how-to use its 3 motors.

Alive Caribbean Shine Functions & Strength

The Caribbean Shine dual-stimulating vibrator is produced by Alive Sex Toys, an offshoot of Adrien Lastic. “The Alive Caribbean Shine” is a slightly clunky name, so I’ll often call it “Alive Shine” or just “Shine.”(Thankfully, the vibrator itself is not clunky; its handle is quite easy to grip and maneuver.)

IMO the Shine’s true power is its very flexible shaft, crucial for a “rabbit” dual-stimulating vibrator because clit-to-vagina distance varies between people.1 — so the Shine by Alive is the first ever rabbit besides the We-Vibe Nova 2 that keeps stimulating my clit and vagina just as well when I thrust it. The Shine’s shaft bends the most, about 45 degrees forward or backward; and the clit arm is more stable.2 Basically, the Alive Caribbean Shine is the inverse of Nova 2 by We-Vibe, my other fave dual-stim vibrator: Alive Shine’s shaft bends, while the clit arm remains more stable; vs. Nova 2’s shaft remaining stable, as the clit arm moves and massages (while keeping contact because it’s wide).

Vs. other suction rabbit vibrator options, the Alive Caribbean Shine is the one that feels most like having a human suck around the clitoris — even more if you’re moving the Alive Caribbean Shine’s handle, to get the clitoral suction mouth to move too. The sealing, on and off, is what causes that sucking sound and adds the most sensation. Truth: The Womanizer Duo has more air pulsation speeds; more clit-blowing strength. (The Womanizer Duo costs $100 more than the Shine by Alive, too.) The Womanizer Duo does not suck inward (or have G-spot thumping). See a suction / pulsation rabbit comparison:

The Shine’s vibration is rumbly, and strong enough: a 7.25 / 10 in my vibrator intensity rating scale, where powerhouses like the Magic Wand are a 10 / 10. I’ve felt much pricier vibes that have weaker vibration intensity than the Shine at $119. The Alive Shine vibe does not have separately adjustable suction intensity; the clit suction and vibration are bound together, controlled by one button. There are 7 total suction + vibration intensities, 3 of them “steady” vibration. The head pulsation is separately controlled; 3 speeds there. And then there’s the Boost button that takes you to top vibration / sucking speed and top G-spot pulsing power at once — which is how I’m using the Shine 90% of the time. In re the suction intensity, I can definitely feel the vibration getting stronger in the clitoral stimulator, but the suction doesn’t have noticeable increases in power, till you hit that Boost button. I would’ve counted that lack of suction adjustment as a downside. But the Shine makes me come so hard, who am I to complain?!?

My Experience with Caribbean Shine

Once the Alive Caribbean Shine gave me an orgasm so hard, I almost felt I was standing3 on the verge of existential crisis for a couple minutes afterward. What does it all mean? Why do I *feel* so much? Will anyone ever love me like I love them?!!

This is a dangerously good vibrator. Scary-good. Like, if it had a brain, I would definitely be moving in to make the Shine my next long-term relationship attempt. The sucking and the good vibes and the G-spot pulsing massage… Ugh, I’m going to have to resort to emojis here 🤩✨💓💦

I’m extra-picky about rabbit vibrators because so many of them do nothing for me: they just don’t align right especially if I want good steady clitoral contact while thrust-rocking the shaft into my vagina; or else, they don’t surround and massage my clit right. Like they have a little twig outside when I want an actual fingering (or sucking) experience. That’s why my suction rabbit guide is no doubt the most critical ranking I’ve composed so far.

The strange thing about the Caribbean Shine for me is that it’s not a fast play time. I typically will think, “That’s great, I really like this sex toy!” if it makes me come in the first minute of use, the first time. (Being multi-orgasmic, I’ll keep going and enjoy the toy afterwards too.) With the Alive Caribbean Shine, it’s different: I have a real tough time coming on it in the first 5+ minutes of solo play—but here, that’s not a bad thing. I’m fucking pulsing. It’s pulsing me. It’s sucking lightly, as I move the Shine’s handle.

So the orgasmic buildup takes longer with the Shine by Alive, than with many of my favorite sex toys. Clitoral plus G-spot stimulation together, a lot of frankly amazing sensations all running together — it’s a lot for my brain to take in, so I’ll just lie back and feel for maybe half an hour. I sit there with it, I put it into my vagina and then move the suction “mouth” around my clit. And I think, “This must be the closest thing I’ve ever felt to getting a blowjob.” The sucking mouth, especially while I rock the G-spot pulsing shaft back and forth… I imagine a penis head getting sucked on, while the cock shaft is stroked in sync.4

I’ve had so many hundreds of great sex toy experiences that didn’t make me think of “real-life” sex (= having sex with another human being). It doesn’t have to be “realistic” to feel superb. However, when a sex toy starts bringing hot fantasy scenes to my mind, I know it’s working really well for me. The Caribbean Shine 100% activates thoughts of getting my clit sucked on by a person… of being stroked off too, up-and-down finger motion. I imagine what I’d say to the other person who was working their magic on me, and it intensifies what the Shine is doing to me, even more.

Sometimes I get a great “seal” with the clit suction mouth, sometimes not. It gets wet, and there’s lube, and I’m often moving the shaft in and out. That’s fine, because I can actually feel the suction better when it’s popping off, then on, then off again on repeat. It makes this sucking sound that’s hot too. Slurping. Just like a human mouth can. The only thing to avoid is, if you force the clit arm downward hard, it’ll break the suction momentarily; but starts right back up when you let it return to its normal position. Remember, the Shine’s shaft is meant to be the flexible part.

In re the G-spot pulsation, it’s really the best because it’s running together with the strong vibes (and clit stimulation). It’s powered by a flapping “pulse plate” mechanism, like in that Zalo G-spot toy that was a big disappointment for me. That’s in contrast with the Stronic G’s (and other Fun Factory Stronic toys’) magnetic pulsation system: The Stronic G was GREAT when I first got that self-propelled pulsating G-spot dildo, in January 2018. Three and half years later, and we’ve come a long way in sex toy technology: the thrusting, pulsing, sucking, thumping, gyrating PLUS vibrating choices are too many to count now. And the Caribbean Shine gets me off harder than the Stronics.

The Shine’s closest competitor is the Womanizer Duo for sure: I also was extra-impressed by how high-quality the Womanizer Duo is when I got one. Released in mid-2019, the Duo is Womanizer clit-pulsing tech combined with a rumbly G-spot vibrator. The Duo is still, I believe, a very ergonomic shape and produces quite-satisfying orgasms. 😛 But the Caribbean Shine’s biggest selling point for me, over the Womanizer Duo, is: The Shine’s traditional handle is easy to thrust, when I want more at the end. Duo is ultimately made to stay put for constant contact, though I can certainly rock it back and forth, to get the moving vaginal stimulation I need to come the hardest. It’s just a bit tougher, than Shine. The Shine, in contrast, is already doing some of the motion for me, with its BIG pulsing spot; and then I can wrap my hand around the handle, shaft-like, to get the back-and-forth I crave inside my vagina. Also, the internal vibration feels stronger to me on the Caribbean Shine than the Womanizer Duo. The Duo has a fantastic warranty; but also costs $100 more, vs. the Shine.

TL;DR: The Womanizer Duo is well-made, orgasmic, and interesting; but this Shine by Alive Sex Toys is like a new era for me. It’s like that time I first tried a Velvet Thruster thrusting dildo and I realized, “Whoa, sex toys can do this???” I’m so onboard with the new pulsing, sucking potential here, not to mention the Shine’s vibrations do not detract from the experience by being too high-pitched or “buzzy.” They do what they should, create more pleasure.

How To Operate Caribbean Shine by Alive

As discussed, the Alive Caribbean Shine (I keep wanting to call it the “Caribbean Sunshine!” 🌞🌴) has three motors and three distinct functions — but two of the functions are independently controllable. The suction is built into the vibration (7 possible speeds/rhythms); and then you can increase or decrease the G-spot pulsation speed separate.

Let’s look at the button control, for a clearer picture:

alive Caribbean Shine functions button control

The button closest to the shaft (#3) is what I call the “boost” button (a term often used by FemmeFunn): it’ll take you to top intensity for all 3 functions, instantly, and is definitely my favorite.

The Shine’s silicone is standard, nothing really distinct about that vs. other vibrators, except the Shine’s turquoise color is beautiful. Silicone is an amazing material whose existence this blog is founded on, because it is functionally nonporous, may be soft, and is fully sanitizable; so you can safely use the same silicone sex toy for many years, unlike cheap “jelly” materials that tend to degrade and do harbor microorganisms (bacteria, etc.) over time. The Shine also has a metallic-coated ABS plastic accent at the back of the handle, which is fine to sanitize the same as silicone.

It’s waterproof and USB rechargeable. I think I’m getting a little over an hour battery life on high, so I do try to charge it after every time I use it now. Otherwise, I’ll have an experience the next session where I’m so close to orgasm and then, tragically, the Shine’s power cuts out! 😱 (I may have done that twice before I learned to power it up consistently; I’ve been using this toy for long stretches, a lot…) Luckily I’ve been able to turn it back on in those cases and drain the last 40 seconds of battery power to climax, under pressure! 😆 Would recommend just charging your vibe consistently, though!

Alive Caribbean Shine Recap

Overall, this 3-motored vibrator makes my brain light up. I come so hard, it’s difficult for me to put into words. Because the Caribbean Shine does suck, and it thump-massages, and it has deep vibration all over too. Its effects on me are dramatic. I’ve thought, “This must be what it’s like to get a really good BJ” while I had the Shine sucking rabbit going for me; I’ve sat there and tingled for 45 minutes before an orgasm so good, I fell asleep immediately afterward; I’ve been on the edge so intensely, that spots of light danced before my eyes, in time with the pulsation. I enjoy the Caribbean Shine more than my Motorbunny (rideable Sybian-style) thrusting vibrator, $1,549.00 price.

Like with the Womanizer Duo, using the Alive Shine is a time commitment for me. It gives strong orgasms but not fast ones; I want to lie back and enjoy the very intense sensations before finally getting off. The Alive Shine has 3 motors that work together best on the “high power” setting, accessed via the top control button; it’s top-speed G-spot pulsing and strong vibration, plus the clit suction. Those are all excellent functions, but its the Shine’s flexibility that allows them to work well in tandem.

I would recommend the Shine to anyone interested in a suction rabbit vibrator with G-spot action, since the flexible shaft lets it bend to fit well. The G-spot stimulator is not too far inside, either; the Caribbean Shine’s insertable shaft length is 4 inches, vs. the more unwieldy lengths you’ll sometimes find in a rabbit. Shine’s clit stimulator is standard sized, equally wide as the Womanizer Duo’s and half an inch depth; so that only an individual with a statistically unlikely, large clitoris would have difficulty fitting. The Shine’s main points again:

  • Clit-sucking + vibes
  • Big G-spot pulsing
  • Reasonably strong, not-buzzy vibration, inside & outside
  • Smooth silicone; Pulse plate is easy to clean / doesn’t trap fluids

I would’ve told you, “GTFO!” if you’d informed me I’d be calling any vibrator a “blowjob rabbit” a year ago — but sometimes, life has good surprises in store for us.

NOTES

4/5 (1 Review)
  1. As a result of which, many women and other vulva-havers struggle to find a standard rabbit that remains in contact with both clit and G-spot; it’s a bit of a gamble, buying almost any of them if they’re not designed to be flexible.
  2. You can force it to a ≈ 30-degree downward angle (which requires hard pressure and may interfere with the suction, making it cut out).
  3. Lying in a heap, actually!
  4. It makes sense: The G-spot is the part of the vagina where, if you press forward into it, you’re stimulating the urethral shaft in front of the vagina — which is lined with erectile tissue that engorges upon arousal, the same as in a penis.

  1. Is the suction on this as strong as the maia destiny? I’m really interested in trying something that sucks vs puffs, but I got the maia and it’s so strong even at the start I haven’t been able to use it. About what level would you say this suction starts in comparison? Thank you!

    Reply
    • Hey, thank you for reading! The Maia Destiny is more intense suction around the edges FOR SURE. You know how the Destiny pulls when you first apply it — it really needs lube to be comfortable. If you’re not using a thick water-based lube like Simply Aqua Jelle by Wicked, that’s worth trying to see if it helps with comfort for you.

The Alive Shine has one suction speed that’s perhaps half the intensity of the Destiny’s first suction setting. The Shine is more focused, though, due to its smaller mouth, so I feel like it’s still giving a good amount of stimulation (especially with the vibration running!). I think this toy is more usable on an every-day basis than the Maia.

  2. How does the pulsating motor hold up to an orgasm or when trying to apply more pressure to your g-spot? Does it stall out, notably at a lower speed than faster one?

Any updates on this item compared to others you have since encountered?

    • Hi! The pulsing doesn’t stall on the Caribbean Shine; it’s not like a thrusting dildo where you can stall it out. The range of motion isn’t inches long, to be able to create the amount of resistance needed.

      This is still my favorite pulsing suction toy due to how its pulse plate is wider;
But I do find the Rock Candy Sugarotic to be stronger!
