We-Vibe Touch X Review: Powerful Tongue Vibrator

We-Vibe Touch version 2 (X) is a rumbling tongue of a vibrator I wouldn’t have guessed my collection needed. But how fun is this: the new We-Vibe Touch X is cushier silicone! 🎉Its forgiving tip bends at the top, but the “tongue” stays stable when I’m rubbing it. Up and down (and maybe around), so the Tango X’s scoop shape pulls on the skin around my clit. Just the right amount of friction, for anyone who loves grinding and rubbing off.

When I set out to review We-Vibe Touch X, just one test session had me believing. So how strong is the We-Vibe Touch X, and what are orgasms with it like?

Power: We-Vibe Touch X vs. We-Vibe Tango X

This is important because Tango and Touch are We-Vibe’s two smallest clit vibrators—so why pick one over the other? I’ll compare the two new “X” models of each toy: We-Vibe Tango X vs. We-Vibe Touch X.

Touch X’s silicone slightly dims the vibration intensity vs. the We-Vibe Tango X’s directness. I’d say that each Touch X intensity (out of the 8 steady speeds / intensity levels) feels approximately 1.5 intensities lower than Tango X. So Touch X is about 20% weaker than Tango X. Still, it’s very much a power vibrator compared to most toys, and because of its deliciously rumbling resonance. These vibes carry through flesh well!

Tango X vs. Touch X.

For me, the extra softness and luxuriousness of the Touch X’s tongue-scoop more than make up for that decrease in power. Tango X is so potent on high, more than I personally need. Everyone’s mileage will vary, so it’s important to ask: “Do you want the strongest?” and “Do you want the most clit-focused?”

Because clit toys come in all different widths, from wand-style broad to pinpoint like Tango:

From left: We-Vibe Wand (a full-size wand), Mini Halo by Voodoo (a mini wand), Blush Wellness G Curve (a kinda-slim G-spot or clit vibe), Touch X, Tango X.

Different clits have different tastes (or some just like it all). I’m more of a width queen, and here’s what I found in testing out the We-Vibe Touch X’s part-pointy, part-wider shape.

How to Hold Touch 2: My Experience

I’ve never loved a “palm” vibrator before: a flat toy that can easily be held in the palm of one’s hand. The Touch X is a little different: it’s a palm vibe with more attitude. With more of a point, literally.

“Magic Multitasker,” the Touch 2 (X) box describes. Versatile, I read that catchphrase as, since Touch does provide different touches—all depending on how you angle it.

We-vibe Touch X review scoop shape point

The Touch X’s scoop tongue does a lot of things (but not everything, as I’ll talk about in a sec!). We-Vibe Touch 2 orgasms are long-building and hard for me—because I’m moving the tongue shape around, exploring all its possibilities.

As a Lay-On Vibrator

First, the scoop can just sit right on top of your clit, covering it and the skin nearby. The scoop is an oval shape—longer than it is wide—perfect because the clitoris is always longer than it is wide. And in particular, my clit’s hood is long, so I get better coverage with Touch X than with Tango X’s precision tip. I’ll let the We-Vibe Touch sit and rest over my sensitive bits for a couple minutes, until I feel the blood really rushing in.

For the Pinpoint Tip

Then the point at the top o’ Touch comes in. Now that’s a massager: a point that guides my self-stimulation with Touch. I run it up and down slowly, so it’s pulling on my clit. Touch’s tongue dragging over my hood, tugging it down with its flexible silicone. I love the feeling of silicone because it’s more like skin than any other body-safe sex toy. Add a dab of water-based lube to reduce friction, and the amount of drag is excellent. A light pulling motion.

That pointy tip is also great for letting Touch massage my inner labia, as I direct it back all the way to where my lips puff out on both sides of my vagina. You can even insert the little point, to like a tiny fingertip, if you want some vaginal play too.

Rubbed from the Side

Or simply turn the We-Vibe Touch X sideways: so the “lips” on both sides of its scoop-tongue are finger-width. That narrow surface is fun for a change mid-session.

All Together Now: Rub It Up and Down

But the best thing for me… Getting really into the action, with Touch X’s scoop rumbling up and down, back and forth, over my clit.

If I angle the tip upward, it’s like a soft flick over my clit with every stroke. Essentially, I’m jerking the Touch X off, again and again over my clit, for this delightful mix of focused (the tip) and wider (bottom of the scoop) sensations.

As a Broader Massager / For Humping

Last, even flip it over so you get the flat backside—1.2 inches diameter, like a slimmer G-spot vibe—width against your vulva. You can totally sit on top of Touch this way: with the scoop shape facing either up or down.

It is not a wand vibrator: Do pick a good vibe wand if you want really broad all-over-your-vulva stimulation. I’m not tossing out my Magic Wand Rechargeable any time soon: it does something different than the Touch’s medium width with tongue point!

Yes, I’ve gotten attached to the mouth-y scoop shape: let’s look at it again, from the side.

The rumbles—the deep, penetrating vibrations—are of course the best part of the We-Vibe Touch X. The factor that, IMO, most merits this Touch version 2’s higher price tag than a cheap bullet. (Also noteworthy are Touch X’s 2-year product warranty and silky silicone.)

I keep comparing Touch X to a tongue, because (1) I like tongues and (2) that’s what Touch X feels like, more than any other vibrator I own. More tongue-y than the flapping Zalo Hero, for example. And a large part of that is due to…

Touch X’s Silicone

Almost any Phallophile review will mention silicone firmness, and no exception here. The Touch X’s new, more flexible silicone is a key reason why the We-Vibe Touch X’s scoop is … lingual. “Tongue-like.”

This is not a truly soft silicone—nay, not even as soft as my favorite-ever We-Vibe, the Nova 2 rabbit. (I swear to you, I didn’t much like dual-stimulation before I tried that vibrator.) Nova 2 is a 10A shore durometer outside, vs. Touch X being almost 20A (harder), just like the We-Vibe Melt’s mouth is. Still, this silicone density is a bit flexible and feels forgiving when it’s thin. Like at Melt’s narrow rim of a mouth, or at the very tip of Touch X here. See how it’ll bend with pressure applied:

Bam! For flipping up and down over my clit.

We-Vibe Touch Functions & How to Control

Exactly like the new Tango X, the Touch X has 8 strength levels for all 7 functions: 1 steady function, 6 patterned functions. So basically, you’ve got 8 steady speeds and then 6 patterns with adjustable strength.

Here’s how to control the We-Vibe Touch X’s functions:

We-Vibe Touch X review control buttons
  1. The + plus button turns the vibrator on, and also increases its power (there are 8 possible strengths for each vibe function). Hold the + button down for 2 seconds to power on.
  2. The ~ button changes between functions: there’s 1 steady one, and 6 patterns.
  3. The – minus button of course decreases the strength, and turns Touch X off. Hold it down for 3 full seconds to stop Touch X’s vibrations.

And how to charge We-Vibe Touch? Through the magnetic clip, of course; seen above, to the left of the We-Vibe brand name. Touch X’s included cable clasps right onto that metallic area.

The We-Vibe Touch X’s battery life is a bit over 2 hours per charge on the middle intensities. On high, it lasts 2 hours minus 10 minutes, and on low power, it lasts longest: over 3 hours.

And the Extras

Touch X comes in a forest-y green and the coral hue seen in this review. It’s just a little more orange than the We-Vibe Melt’s pink-y coral. Kind of peach, kind of orange, but sometimes pink when photographed in the right light. See Melt right above coral Touch, top-center amidst a large pile of drying dildos & vibes:

One never knows what’s next.

We-Vibe was an early leader in long-distance app-controlled toys, so most We-Vibe products sync to the We-Connect app. But Touch X (and Tango X), along with the Unite “couples” vibe, are the 3 We-Vibes that are not app-controllable. YMMV, but that’s fine with me because I honestly don’t use the We-Connect app too often with my beloved We-Vibe Nova 2, We-Vibe Melt, or We-Vibe Wand.

Of course Touch X is waterproof, and comes with a nice little storage pouch.

Overall We-Vibe Touch X Recap & Ranking

Touch X’s scoop shape, mmm: it’s like a tongue with a point. A soft, yielding tongue—with such nice, rumbling vibrations. If you’re looking for a more “mouthy” experience than the We-Vibe Tango X’s hard plastic, Touch is your gal.

The Touch’s silicone does tone down the sheer fire-power of the Tango X motor housed inside. It’s still strong, just not the strongest. It’s excellent for anyone who likes a bit of gentleness, with multiple ways to use the same toy. Touch X gives you either focus or more width, depending on how you position its unique shape!

  1. OMG, yes! My biggest gripe with my Tango and Touch was the patterns. I’d try to turn it up just one more intensity and… Arrrrrgh it’s a pattern! Gotta cycle through every pattern all over again to get back to a constant setting. I’m happy to see that all of the updates on these toys seem to be improvements.

On a somewhat unrelated note… In the picture with your drying dildos… What dildo is that, to the left of the gray SquarePeg(?) dildo on the bottom right corner? That marbling and those colors… Very nice.

    • Exactly!!!

The toy you asked about (to the left of the SquarePeg Nathan 1X in Graphite!) is by Pleasure Forge. Fighter, size small, in their custom “The Scream” coloration from Black Friday, which may or may not be available again, but they generally just do all kinds of amazing color schemes.

  2. Hello,

Where is section 7 from the TOC? I’m most interested in section 7.5. Also, do you have an intensity comparison chart to the original Touch (similar to the diagram you included in the Tango X review)?

    Thanks!

  3. Thank you so much for this review! I’m pretty torn between the Melt and the Touch X and I’d love to hear your thoughts on which to pick! I know that the Melt stimulates the clit by creating a suction while the Touch X focuses more on vibrations but I’m curious whether they produce different sensations (if that makes sense)

    • Very different sensations between Touch’s vibration and Melt’s air pulsation, for sure.

The Melt produces a lot more… impact. It’s the stronger feeling by far (though it starts gentler, while not being the gentlest air-pulse toy at any level).

I’ve heard TONS more positive feedback about the Melt than about the Touch, and I personally enjoy the Melt 100x more than the Touch X. It’s less work to orgasm on the Melt, for me. But, that majority opinion doesn’t *guarantee* that Melt will be the best for you, since individual preferences vary a lot. If you like lower-speed & rumbly vibration, with a broader surface, then Touch X is great for that.
