Honey Play Box Melody, 3-Motor Banging Vaginal + Clit Vibrator Review

Thrusting balls??? The Melody app-controlled vibrator has two bumping beads — you insert them vaginally, and their vibration thumps, synchronously, so it rollssssss. It feels the most like thrusting, while remaining in place:

The Honey Play Box app control syncing the bumpin’ balls to music 🎵 is the most fun, for me: it’s like a dance party in my vagina and tapping my clit in time, too.

More energetic than a stationary love egg vibrator, and not creaky-squeaky like “thrusting” toys with bellows folds. Honey Play Box Melody is a clever idea I haven’t seen in a sex toy before:

The Run-Down:

Vibrating vagina plug with 2 synched balls → a thrusting feel, rolling & rhythmic, to the vibration. App controlled so it thrums along with music; or for long-distance control.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Pulsing beads = rolling vibration inside.
  • Feels almost like thrusting vaginally,
  • Except is wearable like a plug.
  • Pretty quiet, too; not creaky or squeaky.
  • Synching to music is awesome.
  • Padded, smooth silicone.
  • Clitoral stimulation point + vaginal sensation.
  • App-controlled, and long-distance capable.
  • Waterproof submersible.
  • Nice storage pouch included.
  • Body-safe silicone.

Cons

  • High-pitched clitoral motor is strong but buzzy. Not for anyone who must have rumbly clitoral vibration.

Melody by Honey Play Box is made of nonporous silicone, is 3.75″ insertable length and 4.6″ height, and has 1.5″ maximum insertable diameter (from front-to-back of the largest ball, which is 1.25″ diameter left-to-right). It’s app-controlled via Bluetooth connectivity, IPX7 waterproof, and magnetic USB rechargeable. This clitoral + vaginal dual stimulation vibrator has 3 motors: one in each of the two “pussy balls,” plus another in the clitoral stimulating base.

My Review Criteria

All body-safe, zero BS. I only recommend body-safe toys, no bullshit and no paid promos. If I wouldn’t give a toy to a close friend, then I won’t recommend it to you, either. I’ve tested over 1,050 vibrators, 515 dildos, and 150 butt plugs (and a plethora of cock rings, kink gear, and lubes!). Everyone’s preferences vary, so I rate vibrating toys by 1. power level and 2. rumbliness; and always describe how my personal tastes color my experience.

My Experience with Honey Play Box Melody Vibrator

When it comes to vaginal wearable vibrators, I need them dynamic. They gotta do somethin’ besides being motionless, not putting any pressure on my G-spot.

It’s the synchronous flow of the Melody here, then, as the vibration seems to roll between its two beads — that makes it interesting to me.

Since: I love movement in my vagina. From short-stroking, to thrusting, and fingering too. They all feel more natural to me than steady vibration! I even thrust my favorite G-spot vibrator.1

1 motor per vaginal bead, and a higher-speed one in the clit stimulator in front of my middle+ring fingers.

Synching to music is the best feature of the Honey Play Box Melody: Its name makes sense. A melody is a series of notes that combine to form a “musically satisfying sequence” — likewise, the Melody has the 3 vibrating motors that hum, ggrrrmmh, bzzzz, rhythmically alternating when they vibrate, at different frequencies too.

You gotta pick different songs to sync the Melody vibrator to, then you see how it rolls along to different beats. Most songs’ back-beats are actually more noticeable inside my vagina than they are to my ears, suddenly!

The quaking balls are just nifty. The vibration is always progressive: it runs from the lower ball to the deeper ball, moving forward, over and over and over. It is never steady vibration.

It’s so interesting because I’ve never felt a vibrator bounce this dramatically, while not physically thrusting.

The bumpin’ bouncin’ balls are 10/10 the best part for me, as they’re lower-pitched vs. the clit stimulator — which is high-speed *zing* — and again, I just love the “thrusty” sensation.

Other plus: You need less lubricant with this toy, since it’s not creating friction against the vaginal epithelium.

I compared it against one other “not just sitting still” wearable vagina vibrator, Lovense Vulse. The Vulse’s problem is that it has this screwing mechanism inside that makes it creak. It’s a distracting noise, and it only moves the vibrator’s tip, and only about half-an-inch back and forth. (It’s not much.) So, it’s kinda both… slightly annoying and not more effective.

I also prefer that the Honey Play Box Melody has a more almost bud-like shape; there’s something plant-like about it, to me.

Being an awkward dancer, but also enjoying the heck outta these bumpin’ beads, I fell into a Saturday night solo dance party in my living room. It was goofy fun, the vibrating beads felt strong, and I totally came after I sat down — breathing hard — on my couch after several songs.

How to Use

The Honey Play Box Melody should be inserted with the 2 beads inside the vagina. If dry, apply a few drops of lubricant to the top bead/ball before inserting it.

How to Position

You can sit on it, or wear it around as a vibrating vaginal plug. You may want supportive underwear or yoga-pants-level grippage underneath, to ensure it doesn’t wiggle out if you’re walking around.

Overall, if I wanna feel the clit stimulator — which is buzzy, so that it can be more noticeable / powerful — I need to sit on the Melody, and grind my hips slightly forward. (This is because my clit is strangely close to my vag.) It should sit at a median distance to rest below most people’s clits.

I like that the point is also padded, compressable silicone. It’s not squishy exactly, but it is definitely not hard.

How to Control

To turn on the Honey Play Box Melody, hold down on the power button—shaped like a cute, stylized bee (Honey, get it?? 🍯🐝)—on the underside of the vibrating plug’s base.

Hold down for 1-2 seconds. It will light up. Now the Melody is in “standby mode.” You have the option of either:

  1. Tapping the power button again, and again, to cycle through the 9 preset vibration functions.
  2. Connecting to the Honey Play Box app, so you can: Control each vibrating section (vaginal vs. clitoral) separately, create your own rhythms, sync the vibrating balls to music, or play long-distance (with a partner controlling the toy). Let’s see:

Honey Play Box App Control

Music Mode is my most-used feature with the Melody. These bouncing balls are instantly maximum fun while dancing to music. (Find a groovy back-beat.🎵🥁🎵💃)

3 different control options in Honey Play Box app control, from left: Free Touch is dragging your finger up/down for incremental control of each motor; Music Mode can pick up music playing from your phone (even from YouTube; better if you’d paid to not see the ads); and last, creating an account for Remote Play.

Or, use “Free Touch” to minutely control the speed of the vaginal portion vs. the clitoral vibration.

You also can control the 9 preset functions (3 consistent bumping speeds, plus 6 rhythms) separately for the vaginal stem vs. the clit stimulating motor in “Presets.” To do so, you drag your finger around either of the circle: the top one is the clitoral vibration motor, the bottom one is the thrumming vaginal vibration. This way, you can also completely power off the clit motor (keep it at 0), while still using the bouncing vag. balls; or vice-versa.

Or, jump over to “Remote Play” for giving control over to a partner, even long-distance. I really like the synchronicity with music best, after having tested out Free Touch mode myself.

Care & Cleaning

IPX7 Waterproof! The Honey Play Box Melody’s silicone + ABS plastic body can be submerged in the bath.

To clean, just use your normal handsoap and scrub the Melody vibrator under running water from your sink.

It’s USB magnetic rechargeable. The charging nodes are of course on the underside of the Melody vagina plug.

Vibration Functions and Strength

There are 9 preset vibration functions in the Honey Play Box Melody. The 2 vaginal motors and the 1 clitoral motor run all together if you use the button on the toy. Instead, you can separate the clitoral and vaginal vibration if you use Presets within the Honey Play Box app.

The vaginal beads’ vibration definitely feels as strong as Lovense Lush, except moving instead of (potentially) fixed vibration. The Honey PB Melody’s clit stimulator is also relatively quite strong: it is more powerful than the We-Vibe Moxie, mainly because Melody’s vibration is higher-frequency. If you’ve never complained about buzzy vibration, it could be great for you. I’m glad it doesn’t always touch my clit directly, since it is zingy in a buzzy way.

Recap & Rating

The Melody vibrator is quirky. Two bouncing balls reverbating inside my vagina—unexpectedly fun. The motion between the dual motors really drives home the vibration, makes it feel more like thrusting than in any other wearable “pussy plug” toy. (And it does not squeak or make weird noises, happily!)

The silicone coating is super-nice, silky-smooth and thicker than other silicone vibrators, so it has padding. The whole package feels as luxury-level as a We-Vibe product, for sure, and the storage pouch is nicer. The only caveat is that if you need rumbly (low-pitched) clitoral vibration, this is not the one: the Melody does use buzzier vibes to make more impact in a small space.

Fun per dollar value:
The bouncing beads are really different. They gave me a kick, as soon as I discovered the syncing to music feature. Great for a wearable thrusting feel, without drag or creaking. Decently G-spot stimulating.

User experience/ Ease of use:
Love the thick, padded silicone feel. Strong vibration for its compact size. Beaded vibrator motors are the best for me. The clit point is OK; high-pitched vibration. Stimulating to sit and rock forward on, grinding clitorally.

NOTE

  1. It’s not that I’ve never enjoyed a “love egg” style vaginal vibrator—which just remains in the vagina, resting there, not really putting any pressure on the G-spot—it’s just that I think they’re seriously over-hyped as a whole, in particular the Lush. Like… it’s strong for its size, and the app is easy to use, but it’s… a pointy beak that doesn’t actually massage my G-spot. Read what I mean, here.
