Vixen Creations VixSkin Mustang Review: Best G-Spot Dildos Compared

The ultimate realistic dildo??? I’d read dozens of VixSkin Mustang reviews before I got my hands on one, wondering whether it could live up to the hype. So much love was showered on the Vixen Creations Mustang dildo—so many words of praise—that I didn’t bother writing my own review when I started this site.

First I’ll dive into the VixSkin Mustang’s appeal (How did it get so popular?) —and then I’ll compare Mustang to other great G-spot toys. (See also my best G-spot vibrators guide for more charged options!) From super-squishy to super-weighty, there’s a toy for every G-spot.¹

Vixen Creations VixSkin Mustang

Best for: Super-soft G-Spot/Prostate Stimulation, Fast Thrusting, Anal & Pegging, Squishy Give!

So what’s the big deal about the VixSkin Mustang, by Vixen Creations? In brief:

• Vixen Creations became the very first dual-density silicone dildo maker, back in 2006 when VixSkin was launched. It was unique and remarkable for its time; an OG. Nobody was making body-safe silicone with a super smooooshy, soft outer layer (it’s delightful to squeeze) — but somewhat supported by a firm core (the second = dual layer), to keep a dual-density dildo less floppy during thrusting.
• That squishy outer layer makes Mustang’s exaggerated corona feel plush when it’s slamming into you: Especially top-notch for anal play, strap-on sex and pegging.

So, VixSkin was the original. And from this dual-d series, Mustang became by far the most popular VixSkin: a semi-realistic shape with a big goddamn ridge to pummel G-spot or prostate.

The soft (but effectively nonporous – no bacteria retained!!!) silicone is huge for folks like me, who are sensitive to hard pressure. I get overwhelmed by harder, less-realistic silicone dildos, and Mustang is the polar opposite.

In contrast, the VixSkin Mustang is essentially comfortable G-spot dildo-ing. It stays in, it squishes, and it feels just nice when you’re using it with a good clit vibe.

It’s a world apart from the other all-time OOOOH G-spot dildo you will hear named (if you talk to people who love sex toys): Njoy Pure Wand, which is hard-hard-hard stainless steel.

Unlubricated, the Mustang’s shaft is sticky, but gets so smooth—almost featureless—once it’s lubed up. It is VERY SOFT. That means I need to thrust faster, often, than I’d like because I’m always getting a slightly flaccid feel. That’s why, these days, I’ll always choose first the Solina Spotta (maximum lifelike effect) or the Uberrime Splendid M (most popping g-spot crown), first:

I just can’t get enough of how the Spotta’s crown flares, that protruding lip massaging even better than Mustang.

My vagina is like a trained assassin in terms of sensing how turned on my partner is. So, as I thrust the VixSkin Mustang I’m constantly fighting a “I think he’s cum and is losing interest” concept, flitting through my mind. The Solina Spotta’s soft silicone is about 1 Shore-A point firmer vs. VixSkin Mustang, thus (blissfully) avoiding the “penis just starting to go soft” feel that Mustang gives my vag. Like, Mustang is great to thrust fast☄️, since its uber-comfortable. But I gotta work at it more if I’m jerking it, since the density is just a lil too soft.

I never hear this complaint about anal play, in contrast. VixSkin is fab for pegging. You may find VixSkin silicone like in Mustang, then, is better for anal. But, vaginal opinion does vary by person, and you may have a vagina that likes very-very softness. I’ve even heard from a reader who enjoys stuffing in a soft packer dildo, designed to imitate a flaccid dong.

Uberrime Splendid Dildo (Medium)

Best for: More *Pop*, Most G-spot Pressure, More Shaft Texture, Customizable Colors

The Uberrime Splendid is the best not-rock-hard G-spot dildo, for thrusting pressure. Its medium size is girthy and filling.

At first glance the Splendid dildo by Uberrime shares a lot with the Vixen VixSkin Mustang: they’re both dual layer platinum silicone dildos with big heads and forward curves.

But Splendid is different because:

• The silicone you feel directly (outer layer) is still very soft—but doesn’t compress so much, feels like more during thrusting for G-spot stimulation.
• Uberrime Splendid’s head is more bulbous, too: more filling.
• There’s more texture on the shaft.
• You can buy it in a custom 3-color marble (still cheaper than any Mustang).

I will 10/10 hands-down choose the Splendid everytime over the Mustang, personally, because I crave bulky heads in my G-spot dildos. The way the Splendid’s head ridge (=corona, “crown”) just fits above my G-spot, with the secondary ripple below: rock it in-and-out, under an inch of thrust length, and the Splendid dildo is magical. 🪄 Feels like so much more G-spot stimulation vs. Mustang, to me.

Uberrime’s Splendid also has a couple curvy lines down the shaft that stimulate my labia while I’m thrusting. (Be sure to use more body-safe lubricant if you go fast: I mix Sliquid H2O and Sliquid Sassy.)

(Also, “more” is definitely an option with the Large Splendid, whose head is 2″ thick! The original medium Splendid is about 0.15″ diameter wider than Mustang at widest.)

If you’re torn between the Uberrime Splendid and the VixSkin Mustang, cost is another factor to consider: a 1-color dual-density Splendid goes for $41 less than Mustang. 

Njoy Pure Wand

Best for: INTENSE G-Spotting, Learning to Squirt
