The ultimate realistic dildo??? I’d read dozens of VixSkin Mustang reviews before I got my hands on one, wondering whether it could live up to the hype. So much love was showered on the Vixen Creations Mustang dildo—so many words of praise—that I didn’t bother writing my own review when I started this site.
But eventually I realized: How could Phallophile Reviews be an all-in-one guide to silicone dildos without a separate piece for the VixSkin Mustang? And hey, while I was at it: Why not make an entire compare-contrast guide to the best G-spot dildos around???
First I’ll dive into the VixSkin Mustang’s appeal (How did it get so popular?) —and then I’ll compare Mustang to other great G-spot toys. (See also my best G-spot vibrators guide for more charged options!) From super-squishy to super-weighty, there’s a toy for every G-spot.1

Vixen Creations VixSkin Mustang
Best for: Super-soft G-Spot/Prostate Stimulation, Fast Thrusting, Anal & Pegging, Squishy Give!
So what’s the big deal about the VixSkin Mustang, by Vixen Creations? In brief:
- Vixen Creations became the very first dual-density silicone dildo maker, back in 2006 when VixSkin was launched. It was unique and remarkable for its time; an OG. Nobody was making body-safe silicone with a super smooooshy, soft outer layer (it’s delightful to squeeze) — but somewhat supported by a firm core (the second = dual layer), to keep a dual-density dildo less floppy during thrusting.
- That squishy outer layer makes Mustang’s exaggerated corona feel plush when it’s slamming into you: Especially top-notch for anal play, strap-on sex and pegging.
So, VixSkin was the original. And from this dual-d series, Mustang became by far the most popular VixSkin: a semi-realistic shape with a big goddamn ridge to pummel G-spot or prostate.
The soft (but effectively nonporous – no bacteria retained!!!) silicone is huge for folks like me, who are sensitive to hard pressure. I get overwhelmed by harder, less-realistic silicone dildos, and Mustang is the polar opposite.
In contrast, the VixSkin Mustang is essentially comfortable G-spot dildo-ing. It stays in, it squishes, and it feels just nice when you’re using it with a good clit vibe.
It’s a world apart from the other all-time OOOOH G-spot dildo you will hear named (if you talk to people who love sex toys): Njoy Pure Wand, which is hard-hard-hard stainless steel.
Vixen Mustang comes in 3 flesh tones, plus the vibrant Tie-Bright coloration (3 fluorescent tones in the shaft, over a pearly white base) seen in this post, and “Midnight Pearl.”
Unlubricated, the Mustang’s shaft is sticky, but gets so smooth—almost featureless—once it’s lubed up. It is VERY SOFT. That means I need to thrust faster, often, than I’d like because I’m always getting a slightly flaccid feel. That’s why, these days, I’ll always choose first the Solina Spotta (maximum lifelike effect) or the Uberrime Splendid M (most popping g-spot crown), first:
Solina Spotta Lifelike G-spot Dildo vs. VixSkin Mustang
Best for: Silicone is less sticky; Slightly firmer head so I don’t have to over-work my wrist; Most real. shaft skin
I just can’t get enough of how the Spotta’s crown flares, that protruding lip massaging even better than Mustang.
My vagina is like a trained assassin in terms of sensing how turned on my partner is. So, as I thrust the VixSkin Mustang I’m constantly fighting a “I think he’s cum and is losing interest” concept, flitting through my mind. (Fucking the Mustang is like barely missing the mark, constantly.) In contrast:
The Solina Spotta’s soft silicone is about 1 Shore-A point firmer vs. VixSkin Mustang, thus (blissfully) avoiding the “penis just starting to go soft” feel that Mustang gives my vag. Like, Mustang is great to thrust fast☄️, since its uber-comfortable. But I gotta work at it more if I’m jerking it, since the density is just a lil too soft.
I never hear this complaint about anal play, in contrast. VixSkin is fab for pegging. You may find VixSkin silicone like in Mustang, then, is better for anal. But, vaginal opinion does vary by person, and you may have a vagina that likes very-very softness. I’ve even heard from a reader who enjoys stuffing in a soft packer dildo, designed to imitate a flaccid dong.
Uberrime Splendid Dildo (Medium)
Best for: More *Pop*, Most G-spot Pressure, More Shaft Texture, Customizable Colors
The Uberrime Splendid is the best not-rock-hard G-spot dildo, for thrusting pressure. Its medium size is girthy and filling.
At first glance the Splendid dildo by Uberrime shares a lot with the Vixen VixSkin Mustang: they’re both dual layer platinum silicone dildos with big heads and forward curves.
But Splendid is different because:
- The silicone you feel directly (outer layer) is still very soft—but doesn’t compress so much, feels like more during thrusting for G-spot stimulation.
- Uberrime Splendid’s head is more bulbous, too: more filling.
- There’s more texture on the shaft.
- You can buy it in a custom 3-color marble (still cheaper than any Mustang).
I will 10/10 hands-down choose the Splendid everytime over the Mustang, personally, because I crave bulky heads in my G-spot dildos. The way the Splendid’s head ridge (=corona, “crown”) just fits above my G-spot, with the secondary ripple below: rock it in-and-out, under an inch of thrust length, and the Splendid dildo is magical. 🪄 Feels like so much more G-spot stimulation vs. Mustang, to me.
Uberrime’s Splendid also has a couple curvy lines down the shaft that stimulate my labia while I’m thrusting. (Be sure to use more body-safe lubricant if you go fast: I mix Sliquid H2O and Sliquid Sassy.)
(Also, “more” is definitely an option with the Large Splendid, whose head is 2″ thick! The original medium Splendid is about 0.15″ diameter wider than Mustang at widest.)
If you’re torn between the Uberrime Splendid and the VixSkin Mustang, cost is another factor to consider: a 1-color dual-density Splendid goes for $41 less than Mustang.
Njoy Pure Wand
Best for: INTENSE G-Spotting, Learning to Squirt
I keep expecting someone to ask me why my site, devoted to “All Silicone Sex Toys, All the Time,” has an instructional guide to the stainless steel Njoy Pure Wand. No one has posed that question yet, and maybe there’s an obvious reason why:
What sex toy review site wouldn’t want an article on the Njoy Pure Wand???
What the VixSkin Mustang is to realistic dildos, the Njoy Pure Wand is to stainless steel ones. It’s the ultimate example, the gold standard. I can describe the Pure Wand in three words: So. Much. Pressure.
And it’s all focused on that one spot, whichever you want: G-spot or prostate. The Pure Wand has been known to transform vagina-owners from (1) not much caring about internal stimulation to (2) needing to invest in an absorbent sex blanket, or maybe put down a shower curtain, because squirting suddenly became a thing.
Pure Wand’s stainless is so slick, which many will find better suited for anal use. (And hey, I hear some peeps like the smooth things vaginally too.) As for prostate play, the Njoy Pure Wand is just the G.O.A.T. P-spot dildo: You will not find another toy as frequently recommended for intense prostate massage. Take your time, learn how to breath for prostate Super Os and relax, and check out some Pure Wand positions. Just incredible sensation, my boyfriend tells me; hours-long sessions, like no other in terms of orgasmic overload.
Mustang is great for thrusting in a harness, but the Pure Wand hits the spot easily and firmly if you’re gripping the toy.
Pillow Talk Sassy – G-spot Vibrator and Dildo!
Best for: Rumbly Vibration, G-spot thrusting, Broad & semi-soft massage
One of the (two) reasons why the Pillow Talk Sassy’s my most-used vibrator of all time is: It does more, use-wise. It works well as a G-spot vibrator (stationary), a G-spot dildo (thrusting in-and-out), or a clitoral vibrator for masturbation or sex with a partner.
The best for me: grip the Sassy’s quilted handle and jerk it, like a dildo, in and out. Its silky-smooth silicone + big curved bulb massage my G-spot just awesomely as I thrust it.
The adjustable Powerbullet vibration just kicks ass, too. This is rumbly vibration with range: from gentle, to quite-strong—and you can stop anywhere within that range, as you like.
That’s why the BMS Sassy it’s the best G-spot vibrator (for simply holding still) if you don’t need super-hard pressure. Sassy’s tip is broadly smooth stimulation, not so hard-n-firm pressure (like the Pure Wand is).
Final Thoughts & Where to Buy VixSkin Mustang
Quick recap of the VixSkin Mustang dildo & how it compares to other body-safe G-spot dildos:
VixSkin Mustang: Super squish + curved head = the OG dual-density silicone dildo for G-spot. VixSkin is awesome for anal / prostate stimulation still – for pegging. My vagina finds it too compressable/overly yielding for the best Gspot stimulation, personally. Mustang retails for $136.00.
Solina Spotta: Best realistic G-spotter – also in dual-density silicone, but less sticky & more skin-feel vs. VixSkin. Straight shaft thickens into a sculpted lip that caresses the spot. Plus balls: I strongly recommend flipping the Spotta dildo 180° back and forth, to give clit stimulation and then finish with G-spot play again. $45.99 for Spotta (dual-density platinum silicone too).
Uberrime Splendid: The boldest silicone G-spot dildo, Splendid M’s head occupies more space. Its bulbous ridge almost feels like it locks in above my pubic bone, to press in for G-spot massage as I rock it back-n-forth. Best less-realistic G-spot dildo: Splendid is semi-phallic, rather abstracted. Like the Mustang dildo, it’s handmade in the U.S. $95.00 for a single-color dual-density Splendid, or custom-order (more colors🎨) for $12 per color.
Njoy Pure Wand: A legend unto itself. If you doubt that you even have a G-spot, then the Pure Wand is the one that will locate it. G-spots (and prostates) can’t hide from its weight. The stainless steel Pure Wand goes for $108 when you use code phal10 in cart.
Pillow Talk Sassy: Most popular G-spot vibrating dildo of the last 10 years. A classic now with its adjustable PowerBullet vibration. If you want vibration, and like a great rubbing massage (G-spot or clitorally!), Sassy is the one!!! $59.99 for teal; $68.99 for the lilac Sassy kit with foreplay cards.
NOTES
I have a Splendid and I absolutely love it. But every reviewer I read just gushes about the Mustang and I’m curious. Are the mustang and splendid different enough to warrant buying both? It’s a solid chunk of change so I want to be sure. Are there other Vixskin dildos you would recommend for varieties sake?
Yes, they do feel different. The Splendid is thicker under the ridge (the Mustang’s shaft narrows down). The Splendid’s head has a slightly bulkier feel, being a bit wider. So it depends on how much you enjoy a thicker feel, I believe; if you do, Splendid makes more sense than Mustang.
I honestly like the Luminous dildos better than VixSkin! (The bigger two Luminous, at least.) The production quality is cheaper, but the silicone feels better in my body, interestingly.
Does the medium Luminous provide good g-spot stimulation? The head of the stud looks delicious but the rest looks like too much for me lol.
Medium Luminous is more delicate G-spot stimulation. Subtle. I can feel it, but it’s not SO protruding like the big Stud. You should probably go for the Neo elite 7.5″ with Balls if you’re looking for a more focused stimulating head!
I was disappointed with the Mustang’s curve which is not a true curve but a fata morgana, because it loses 100% of it just by holding it horizontally =/. The top is even a tiny bit downward when suction cupped to a wall. Zero G-spot stimulation, doesn’t even touch my G-spot when held horizontally and vertically only as light as a feather.
I was disappointed with the Mustang’s curve which is not a true cruve but a fata morgana, as it loses 100% of it when held horizontally. Zero G-spot stimulation, doesn’t even reach it. And when held vertically, only as light as a feather. They really should make the core firmer!
