I own a dozen “clit suckers,” and the Womanizer Liberty is the only under-$100 one I can ever see myself using for fun.
Basically, my clit is a picky bitch. So I was surprised that I enjoy the Womanizer Liberty as much, if not more, than the Womanizer Classic. It’s smaller, easier to hold, and *this close* to being as strong as Classic. Plus cheaper! This Womanizer Liberty review is a point-by-point of why you might choose one over the other: Why go for Liberty ($99) vs. Womanizer Classic ($129)?

The Power
The Womanizer Liberty’s power level feels identical to the Womanizer Classic’s—through the first 5 pulsation speeds. Liberty has 6 total levels, while Classic has 8. In practice, this means Liberty skips Womanizer Classic intensities #6 and #8. (See a full comparison chart here.) Also, there’s a big jump in power between Liberty speeds #5 and #6.
And for the finale, Liberty’s top speed (#6) equals Classic’s next-to-last intensity (#7 of 8). So Womanizer Classic is slightly stronger, if you need that last push to the finish. (And the Womanizer Premium is another step stronger than Classic.)
The Womanizer Liberty’s first speed (like Classic’s) is lightly stimulating—but not *the* most whisper-like. Go with the Satisfyer PrĂŞt-Ă -Porter/Haute Couture or Pro 3 Vibration if you want your start to be the lowest; all these Satisfyer clit-blowers and the Womanizer Liberty end up pulsing equally fast. But that doesn’t mean the sensations are exactly the same…
I love the quality of all Womanizer toys’ pulsations: there’s something deep and thuddy about them. (Vs. the more “flappy” quality of Satisfyers.) I find myself lingering on Liberty’s middle speeds most, especially numbers #3 through 5. Just thump, thump, thumping away.
True story: I recently bought a too-expensive pair of heels after the salesman pitched the quality of their German engineering. I started thinking about Womanizer and Fun Factory toys (all German-made: and Fun Factory Stronics pulsate too, in a different way!), and…I couldn’t help myself, I wanted the best.
Liberty’s Size & Fit
The Womanizer Liberty is the smallest clit-pulsator I own, at 4 inches long (vs. the Womanizer Starlet 2’s 4.75 inches and the Womanizer Classic’s 6 inches). I’m slightly confused about how Liberty can have two more (stronger) speeds than Starlet 2 and still be more compact—but that’s the way it is.
Liberty is marketed as being travel-friendly due to its smaller sizing plus its shell design: it has a storage cover that covers the silicone head completely.
I like the cover, as it makes Liberty seem cleaner when I get it out to use it. But I’m most sold on Liberty’s smaller-size body size. If my We-Vibe Melt dies and I’m looking to sit on an air pulsation stimulator—which I highly recommending trying, it’s such lazy stimulation—then Womanizer Liberty is assuredly the one I’ll choose.
And more on sizing: Like the Womanizer Classic and Premium, Liberty includes two interchangeable silicone mouth sizes. That’s good for me, since I find the smaller, shorter options easiest to get a good fit with. Protruding Satisfyer and earlier-model Womanizer mouths feel clunky in comparison.
Liberty’s opening isn’t quite as form-fitting as the We-Vibe Melt’s flexible mouth, whose comfort I’m in love with, but it’s a runner-up.
The Colors
Definite bias here: this pale blue is the best. With a metallic silver accent too!
It’s so nice that that Liberty comes in 4—no, 5 now!—color choices. There’s also a pretty lilac and two shiny metallic colors: “pink rose” and “red wine.” (Whereas the Womanizer Classic only comes in plum.)
The Battery Life
Besides the Womanizer Classic’s one higher speed (and more speed stops along the way1), this is the biggest reason you’d opt for the more-expensive model over Liberty: Classic’s battery life is twice as long.
My Classic will definitely run 2.5 to 3 hours per charge, whereas Liberty is cutting out after 90 minutes, sometimes only an hour. I do use Liberty more than Classic—cuz I like sitting on this clit-blower while writing—but I must charge it four times as often.
Overall Thoughts / Ranking
As a vibrator ranker/comparer, I have standards. And the Womanizer Liberty kicks the ass of any Satisfyer toy for thuddy impact. Plus Liberty is so small for an air pulsation toy, at 4 inches long, so it’s much easier to put between my thighs and let nibble at my clit, hands-free.
True, I sometimes like the Satisfyer Luxury pulsators because of the added vibes and soft mouths…but I keep reaching for the Womanizer Liberty instead. (I mean, when We-Vibe Melt isn’t drawing my clit’s attention—it’s a true battle. Especially when you throw in all the wand vibes.)
Compared to the Womanizer Classic and Womanizer Premium (comparison here), Liberty’s elegant colors, travel cover, and slightly lower price are big advantages. I’ve ended up Liberty a 4/5—because We-Vibe Melt blows it away (no pun intended!) for suction-y power.

NOTES
- I’m waiting for someone to make an incremental-speed-control air pulsator, like BMS Factory does with many of its vibes—Pillow Talk Sassy being the most-awesomest—so the user can choose exactly the intensity they want.
I love your site! I only have a Hitachi and I’m very interested in getting a toy like the Womanizer. Do you think this one would be good to use during PIV sex?
Hi, I’m sorry I missed replying to you earlier!
Air pulse toys can be a little tricky in general to keep in the right spot. I also think the Womanizers (like Liberty’s shorter body, harder to grip) are not as well-shaped for PIV as the We-Vibe Melt is. That’s my favorite Womanizer-style toy in general, and I use it with G-spot toys a lot.
