Solina Mega Dildo Review – I love all 3 Sizes, Dual-Density Silicone!

This is the one. After 8 months owning the Solina Mega dildo, I never find myself wanting other realistic dildos. Because, the Solina dildos’ skin texture is the best I’ve ever felt in body-safe silicone. Improved over all the 520 silicone dildos scattered around my home: stored in drawers, bins, boxes—now… set aside.

I adore realistic sex toys. I’ve always wanted a dildo that was as close as possible to a real penis, with a big head. It’s not 100% life-like, but is very close when I have the Solina Mega dildo thrusting on my sex machine. Damn good when I’m jerking it by hand too: gripping this big shaft’s long length like a handle.

This is miles better than Vixskin for my vagina’s use: Each Solina Dildo (3 total sizes) is soft but not sticky. It eats lube less. And the Solina dildos’ dual-density silicone is better balanced than the $600 RealCock2 dildos, too. Solina Mega dildos have silicone highlights — pink-red tinted heads — so, a more-realistic look akin to RealCock. But unlike RealCock dildos, they can be boiled, baked, and easily sanitized if needed. Most important: Solina dildos do not degrade & break down.

The Run-Down:

Mega realistic dual-density silicone dildos. Balanced for skin feel; fleshy-soft and smooth, but erect. 3 sizes from medium to XL. Popping ridge stimulates G-spot. My favorite realistic dildo ever. Easy to keep clean.

From $39.99 to $59.00 USD

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Awesome skin-feel.
  • Dual-density silicone, feels like an erection.
  • 3 sizes available.
  • Silicone highlights r stable.
  • Prominent ridge + skin ripple for 2× G-spot stimulation.
  • Flared for anal too.
  • Suction cup base /
  • Harness-compatible.
  • Body-safe platinum silicone.
  • Won’t harbor bacteria. Can be sanitized.

Cons

  • Long full length is hard to sit on (but easier to back up onto, when suction-cupped). Some folks won’t want so much length. It does work well as a handle!

All 3 sizes of Solina Mega dildo are made of nonporous platinum silicone. Each has a suction cup base and realistic highlights. Choose which size you prefer: from 1.5-inch-diameter Large Solina Mega, to 1.77-inch-diameter XL Solina Mega, to the 2-inch-diameter XXL Solina Mega dildo.

My Review Criteria

All body-safe, zero BS. I only recommend body-safe toys, no bullshit and no paid promos. If I wouldn’t give a toy to a close friend, then I won’t recommend it to you, either. I’ve tested over 1,080 vibrators, 530 dildos, and 165 butt plugs (and a plethora of cock rings, kink gear, and lubes!). Everyone’s preferences vary, so I rate vibrating toys by 1. power level and 2. rumbliness; and always describe how my personal tastes color my experience.

Dual-Density Silicone: Solina Mega vs. other 2-layer dildos

My vagina is Goldilocks: Choosy, requiring a balanced medium “temperature”: density and texture, I mean!

The Solina Mega dildos’ exterior silicone is softer than Neo Elite (popular affordable realistic silicone dildos), but firmer than VixSkin (OG dual-density realistics). It’s a small difference, but noticeable: Since the Solina’s surface is just smooth enough, just skin-textured enough.

Solina Mega most realistic dildo ultra lifelike skin textures smooth silicone dildo

Here the silicone is also just soft enough to match the firmness of an erect glans penis (cockhead); and perfectly skin textured. All of the 3 Solina dildos are superior versus their metaphorically “too hot” and “too cold” dual-layer silicone counterparts:

Dual density silicone dildo firmness compared VixSkin vs. Naked Addiction vs. Solina vs. Neo Elite dildos
Dual-density silicone dildo firmness compared, from softest (=VixSkin); vs. medium realistic balance (=Naked Addiction Dual, below, and Solinas); vs. slightly firmer (Neo Elite dildos non-glow; the Glow-in-the-Dark Neo Elites r even a touch denser.).
  • Too hot. Not overly squishy like VixSkin, where I need to jerk it fast to get real impact from the super-duper soft head. (More wrist-strain.) VixSkin dual-density’s surface glides very slickly with lube, smoother than skin — except for this “foreskin patch” in the Mustang and Maverick that’s oddly stylized (not fully realistic, no one has a patch like that).
  • Too cold. All Neo Elite. Great for the price (cheap dual-density platinum silicone!), yet not the best real feel. The silicone is a tad too firm outside. The veiny lines + marginally firmer silicone = fairly realistic, not ultra-real feel. I notice this less anally (where I’m less sensitive): the Neo Elite 7.5″ (no balls) Dildo is an awesome anal toy, while the smol Neo Elite 6″ is a fantastic starter dildo for anal or for tight vaginas.
  • Just right! Solina (all sizes) and BMS Naked Addiction Dual. A slight difference: Solina dildos are more real-feel overall, with their: tinted silicone highlight head + more natural, less spidery side-veins.
Solina XL dildos vs. VixSkin Maverick for realistic feel silicone dildo
Solina XL and XXL dildos sandwiching Vixskin Maverick.

People who aren’t so sensitive either vaginally, or anally, may find that VixSkin and Neo Elite are indeed realistic enough for them! I strongly recommend against RealCock2 dildos due how they’re not nonporous functionally, plus looooong fulfillment time complaints.

Solina’s G-Spot Stimulation

The G-spot sensation the Solina dildos deliver is a balance, too. It’s a midpoint between a big protruding head, and a penis where the smaller ridge comes in second place to the shaft.

Vixskin Maverick dildo vs. Solina XXL dildo ridge
Still cannot believe how much more realistic the Solina (XXL, top) looks and feels vs. Vixskin (Maverick, bottom).

I like thick shafts, but I also need the ridge to *pop* some. The Solina XL and XXL have a ridge that sticks out, just enough; followed by a sulcus (dip) and another bump of skin lines below. It’s like soft skin lines.

Solina Mega XL silicone dildo gripped in hand

Since realistic moving foreskin dildos — I mean skin that actually glides during vaginal thrusting — are impossible to make synthetically, this is the closest.1 The extra bitty-bump of retracted skin, adding an extra line of feeling as Solina Mega moves slowly in-and-out, inside me.

Beautiful retracted skin textures.

The only comparable life-like toy I now recommend the feel of (more in line with the Solina dildos’ awesome realism), is the Curve Jock 8.7″ uncut dildo: that’s if you like a full-up foreskin, with no dip for G-spot / P-spot massage.

Solina Mega Dildo Dimensions – Length and Width

Solina Mega’s out in 3 sizes. These 3 dual-density dildos range from 1.5 diameter to 2 diameter. If you’re not sure you like thicker toys, choose the “large” Solina, which is a standard girth with extra length.

  • Mega “large” is 1.5″ max. diameter × 6.75″ usable length. Its head is 1.4″ diameter × 1.4″ long. 7.4″ total height. Average penis width, but with 1.25″ extra usable length vs. an average penis.
  • Mega XL is 1.77″ max. diameter × 7.6″ usable length. Its head is 1.75″ diameter × 1.9″ long. 8.4″ total height. Above-average girth with 2″ over average penis length.
  • Mega XXL is 2″ max. diameter × 8.25″ usable length. Its head is 1.95″ diameter × 2″ long. 9.33″ total height. Above-average girth with 2.7″ over average penis length.

Suction Cup Base

Each Solina dildo’s suction cup base is good. 9/10. It’s stronger than Vixskin, Neo Elite 7.5″ with Balls, and SquarePeg FlushCup suction cups. All those stick pretty well if you press down hard on the lower shaft, to fully seal the suction cup onto a smooth surface.

Solina dual density silicone dildos 3 sizes on shower wall, realistic skin colors

But if you’re someone who’s trying to ride those dual-density dildos anally, backing up on a shower wall, your ass might pull them off. (Wet shower walls make the situation worse.)

The Solina Mega suction cups have never fallen off anything as I tested them. I don’t regularly ride them suction cupped to walls, because I have a great sex machine — 1000 times more comfortable+easier vs. suction cupping a dildo to the wall. Stuck to the Hismith suction cup attachment, Solina Megas are aaaaaaah good. The XL and XXL Solina toys’ extra length means the metal suction cup never needs to brush against my inner thighs, as the thrusting arm segues back and forth back and forth.

It doesn’t beat having a good human with dick around, but the Solina Mega’s the closest replacement for just the penetration part.2

How to Use

How to Position

Dildo positions! You’ll want to play around and figure out what you like best, out of a variety of positions to use the Solina Mega dildo in. My top picks:

  1. In bed jerking by hand. Use just the Solina, or Solina and my now-favorite Zen Rose vibrator for rumbly clitoral stimulation added.
  2. Standing up, jerking off by hand. This way really lets you feel the “clenching the shaft” part.
  3. Edge or corner of the bathtub, riding down suction-cupped. Placement will vary based on your bathtub shape. If a standard tub: Ride with your outside knee supported by a couple pillows, to stabilize its height vs. the inside knee!
  4. Via sex machine: In bed missionary style, being thrust into by my sex machine, Solina’s base suction-cupped to its stainless steel attachment. Also: my legs over the side of the bed, lots of pillows propping up my back, as the machine’s positioned on the ground, its thrusting rod angled to reach my vagina via the Solina’s long length. Or: trying to re-create doggy style in bed, pillows under my torso (flat doggy is lazier) as the machine (Solina attached) penetrates from behind.

Care & Cleaning

To clean, just use your normal handsoap. Rub it up and down the Solina dildo’s shaft, massaging into its groove and around its head, as water runs over.

Recap & Rating

The Solina Mega is just the best IMO for realistic feel and wide G-spot stimulation in a dildo. I’ve always been disappointed by realistic dildos not being real enough, and finally, this is sufficient. Life-like enough, at last.

The “large” size Solina is a nice average girth with a gently popping ridge: so good for smooth thrust. The XL size is for when I’m wanting thicker, but I’m sensitive (end-of-period times); it’ll be the one for folks who want above-average girth—not massive.

And the XXL is a fantastic large size, my very very favorite width for vaginal stretching: 2 inches diameter, filling me up in the sweetest way. It flows with amazing glide: except the extra dip (sulcus) below the main ridge. It pulls lightly and gives me more front-vaginal wall (G-spot zone!) stimulation, thrusting on repeat.

Orgasms per dollar value:
I’m in love. I sleep with these, accidentally, they feel so real. I’ve (metaphorically) cast aside all my other dildos, except a few fantasy toys for funky textures. The best phallic dildo, hands-down: plus 100% body-safe.

User experience/ Ease of use:
OMG, the skin-feel and the popping ridge. Use with Sliquid Silk, so close to life. Size large is easiest to use; less weightly. Size XL is easy enough. XXL’s length makes it easier to use on a sex machine, or use extra inches as a handle (my vag. can only take 5.75″!). Suction cup is good; sticks beautifully on stainless steel.

NOTES

  1. Any silicone skin that’s thin enough to actually move during thrusting will tear over time, and it’s still not as soft and supple as living foreskin—which harbors bacteria, by the way. Both good and bad (commensal and pathogenic) bacteria, depending on the person. I love foreskin, but moving foreskin dildos do not feel lifelike, I promise. A “sliding skin” in silicone, just feels more fake. Rubbery, thick, weird.
  2. It should go without saying that actual human beings can provide more than thrusting sex, both physically and emotionally.

  1. I recently got my wife the square peg Leo actual size and she said it was the best dildo she’s used so far. I’am considering getting a Solina but I know everyone is different but do you prefer these over the Leo I just was curious how they compared?

    Reply
    • I do prefer the Solina over the Leo because of the central core. I think SquarePeg’s super-soft is an amazing density, and the version 2 of the Leo has a sweet amount of skin-line texture (it’s not draggy like the original Leo was pre-2021). But, with it being all super-soft, you know how the lower shaft flexes. That’s great for anal, like colon probing, and can be helpful for suction cup use (bends if stuck on a wall), but it’s certainly less realistic. A good dual-density silicone toy, to me, is the “best of both worlds,” to be cliche. Any Solina definitely feels more realistic stuck on a sex machine (vs. 100% super-soft).

  2. Before this review I had been considering the BMS Factory Naked Addiction (based on the high praise you’d given it), but now I’m torn! I know you already mentioned RealCock, but would you say these Solina models handily dethrown the old king of (affordably-priced) lifelike silicone?

    Reply
    • Great analytical question! I still think the Naked Addiction Dual has a very pleasing feel, but its one downside for me personally has always been the tapered head / less imposing ridge – if someone is specifically wanting G-spot or P-spot stim, it’s just not as fulfilling there, though I know other folks like a more tapered dildo without a prominent ridge, so the Naked Addiction Dual fits the latter well. I do like the silicone highlights on the Solina more for realistic look outside.

  3. Awesome review as always! I’m tempted to get the middle size as well for an everyday option, but I tend to dislike harder silicone and I’m wondering how this will fall. Spt super soft and vixskin maverick are great for me, but the uberrime splendid dual density small was already a bit too hard. Thoughts? Thank you!

Also trying to find something between the maverick and the nick Capra original for a more gentle warm up. I assume the xxl here won’t help? I was thinking about rentman small, Steve 1x, or Wyatt 1x, but appreciate any other suggestions for vaginal use only.

    Reply
    • When did you get the Splendid small? Uberrime’s densities have fluctuated a bit over the years in my experience. About to get a couple of their new fantasy toys this week and see how the 0030 and 0050 are feeling now.

I also dislike firmer silicones, but find that VixSkin’s squishy ridges just feel flaccid and that annoys me. These Solina are firmer than VixSkin but softer than Neo Elite.

Wyatt 1X is going to be not discernibly bigger than Maverick. (I don’t have the Steve 1X or the Rentman.) Here’s a photo of Solina XXL by Nick Capra original. I’m seeing Maverick as about 6.125″ circumference at bottom & Capra Orig. as about 7.2″ circ. So… 6.65″ is in the middle. Does that the Capra tapers not help with warmup? Wyatt 1X is that circumference if you take it down to 6″ down the shaft only (I’m seeing it max. out at 7″ at the part above the base that I think it’s easy enough to insert.) Solina XXL is a flat 6.5″ circumference most of the shaft, up until the last inch where it’s about 6.625″. Here’s a photo!

      Reply
      • Thank you for the super detailed answer with photo!!, I really appreciate it!

The splendid was actually a medium from 2022. The Capra taper helps for sure, maybe I’m overreacting to a first time try challenge 😅. The picture and shaft sizes helped a ton, official measurements are difficult to compare at times. The xxl may be right at the middle and a good option assuming it does not feel too firm, the Capra is their 40%. Maybe I should try the XL first and go from there!

        Reply
        • That makes sense. I think Hankey’s densities got harder at some point between 2019 and 2021 too, I think it’s a general thing with Smooth-On sourced silicone : the 30% Soft option is def. what I’d recommend for all Hankey’s that are more than 6 to 6.5″ circumference now, which is almost all their products. Yeah, definitely try going slower with the Capra, too, that will likely help!

  4. Hey,

Both my wife and I love your reviews. They’ve helped us select quite a few toys based on your opinion and experience. Thank you for all the hard work (no pun intended) you’ve put in over the years.

How do you think this dildo would perform when pegging? We really love the look of these and would love his n’ hers matching dildos but in different sizes.

Would they be soft enough (akin to the Neo elite/mustang for example)?

Would the head give appropriate p-spot stimulation? I’m really hoping so as you mention the g-spot sensations so I’m guessing it would be similar?

    Reply
    • thank you so much!! Ha!

Ooh, oooh, did you see my “Goldilocks” metaphor 😆 in this section?? Neo Elite is def. firmer than VixSkin’s outer layer, and Solina is softer than Neo Elite (in between). (This is most true when VixSkin dildos are new, as over a few years their outer layer will lose more of the dimethicone vs. what I’ve noticed with most other duals, so they “firm up” over the years.)

If you’re good with Neo Elite’s density, then you should have no complaints about the Solinas.

I & my vag claimed these, lol, the first set of three; so I should get L and or XL to see if he likes it for pegging. (I don’t want to be bothered to sanitize.)

    • You’re correct, and good question. The ridge in the Luminous Stud sticks out more (a bit unnaturally, but that’s awesome if someone wants more extremity with the ridge) – the texture of the silicone is less realistic in Luminous – it’s not *bad*, but in comparison to this, falls flat.

  5. Do you know if the solina dildos are strap on harness compatible? Wondering if the base is actually a little too big for our harness. Unless I missed it, it’s the only configuration you didn’t discuss in your wonderful review. Thanks!

    Reply
    • Hi, yes, absolutely!! It’s far from the widest suction cup, so it’ll fit into any standard harness. My bf just isn’t the hugest fan of ultra-realistics, but we’re trying it out intermittent with the Body Dock review comin’ out later this week.

  6. Hi Felicity! You mentioned that dual density dildos may become firmer over time. Would this process ruin the perfect balance you are describing?
    Thank you!

  7. How would you say the texture of these compare to the jock dildos, specifically the 9.6 in. I bought it due to your review and would like to know how they compare.

    Thank you!

    Reply
    • The silicone is substantially similar. The biggest difference you may feel will be in surface texture. I think the Curve Jocks even differ among themselves because the 9.8″ has more surface “skin” textures vs. the 8.7″, which is most usable to me.

With the Solinas, the Large size is the smoothest glide, because it doesn’t have the indent (sulcus) under the corona.

  9. I was really looking forward to the Solina XXL, but I am disappointed. While it looks realistic, it is wayyy too firm- my complaint with most toys. My favorite toy time after time has been from Au natural. Their cores have springs that I’m able to rip out and it actually then feels real. I feel like 90% of dildos are not soft like a real penis. I could knock someone out with Solid Solina!

    Reply
    • Hi! So, Au Natural is a Blush line that’s softened thermoplastic (TPE). It’s very soft in a squishy flaccid kinda way, but definitely not safe to continue using — even more so after it’s been cut into by removing the core.

What I’m reading that you’re looking for is a super-soft dildo, not dual-density realistic dildo. Super-soft has that “squish” that can trick the brain into thinking “skin!”, but it flops around more than an erection. Like, I love the SquarePeg Leo in super-soft – it is super-popular for anal play – but vaginally, I can really feel that its lower shaft feels flaccid because of how much it bends. It’s fun, but it doesn’t feel like f*cking an actual hard-0n: Full erections don’t curve any more than the owner’s natural upward/downward/or sideways curve, they don’t bend substantially during play unless the person has a penile fracture 🫨 or is going soft.

Now you know you know that you are *not* looking for ultra-realistics, but instead, super-soft silicones!
The softest in a realistic shape that you’ll find easily, great quality and body-safe, are Mr. Hankey’s Toys with the Packer Firmness add-on, to make them about 00-20 Shore. That’s versus the “30% Soft” option you can buy at checkout for all Hankey’s Toys, about a 00-30 Shore, so-called because it feels like the firmness of a penis that’s only 30% hard; it’s pretty soft.

  10. Are these available from any EU retailers at all? Shipping from Peepshow is 50$ and with customs fees on top of that it’d be more than twice as expensive per item.

    Reply
    • It is unusual how so many good realistic dils are only shipping from the U.S. Seems they’re a much larger share of the American toy market than others, based on for example Lovehoney statistical surveys.

      Reply
    • Hi, yes, totally!!! I asked about this last week since I’ve also seen a couple requests, always good to have more options — and Solina told me that this is definitely happening, they have a second, darker color variant order put in to their factory, so hopefully soon. Appararently shipping can take several months (when done by boat, which keeps costs lower) so, it’s projected at some point late this year that multiple colors will be available.
