Silicone is heavy-duty and easy to clean, but it’s not common in BDSM sex toys! So I’ve compiled this short list of silicone BDSM toys—paddles, handcuffs, gags, nipple suckers & more—for folks who value quality tools for harder kink play.
Platinum silicone is considered “skin safe,” which matters most for pleasure toys that stay in contact with sensitive skin (like the nipples) or mucous membranes (like in the vulva, vagina, and rectum). So I’ve also added a few anal fetish items to this silicone BDSM toy list, in case you require gaping tools.
Silicone paddles, cuffs, and gags can be washed easily! With soap and water, which can make vinyl bondage gear damp and icky. Kink Silicone Cuffs
Kink silicone cuffs by DJ are amazing. I love the thick, silky silicone encircling my wrists. They make cheaper handcuffs feel like a joke.1 I’ve used the Kink Cuffs in both submissive and dominant roles; and I think the feel is best for the sub. The way they surround my wrists is much sexier than normal metal handcuffs, IMO. The silicone feels gentle, but you know you’re quite restrained once your hands are behind your back due to the heavy metal lock. I’ve tried unjoining the cuffs, reaching down to the D-ring clasp when they’re on my wrists, and you’d really have to be double-jointed/a hand-contortionist to get out.
The handcuffs alone are sold here for $69.99 (it’s a lot of silicone, with metal bolts, buckles, and locks, plus 3 identical keys per lock2). The handcuffs can also fit on my ankles, but my ankles are thin, about 8 inches circumference. The matching Kink Ankle Cuffs Set (where each cuff is slightly taller and longer) is $84.99 here. Bind them together with a hogtie cross-piece, and the Silicone Kink Cuff wearer is fully restrained. Perhaps: hands and ankles behind their body, lying flat in a bed, their neck over the edge of the bed so that their mouth is ready to serve. Best bondage setup I’ve ever felt, and suprisingly, more comfortable than it sounds.
There certainly is a cheaper silicone cuff option, $10.99 for these Sportsheets silicone cuffs. Those are not actual handcuffs, those are a tool to let you imagine you’re restrained. You can easily slip in and out. If you want real restraint, do opt for the Kink Cuffs (with locks included). They’re so much better than Quickie unlockable cuffs.
Silicone Gags
Cheaper “silicone ball gags” have just the ball made of silicone, while the strap is a “vegan leather” (vinyl). These block the wearer from articulating words during play: they can still make other noises like squeals, whimpers, gasps. Do be sure to get one with a buckle to better fit your head.
I recommend against Sportsheets’ Silicone Lips, which are uncomfortable to wear (they have a tab that sticks up & is overly large for me, pushing it awkwardly into the roof of my mouth); and, unlike you might assume, the Silicone Lips do not facilitate a gagged BJ. The lips & opening are way too close together because of how flexible the silicone is: it just won’t keep your lips apart. (Might work with a micro-penis?!)
Best-quality silicone gags: Oxballs’ platinum silicone ones. If you’re someone who wants to be able to bite down on a gag — for example, if you’re wearing it during a heavier spanking — then Oxballs’ Chomp gag is that serious tool, featuring a thick silicone bite guard. Its even-larger friend (WB) is the Oxballs Guard Gag, which has a tube you can bite down on and then the head-strap is also silicone, so you can sanitize the whole gag.
Silicone Nipple Suckers
Oxballs makes the best silicone nipple suckers: Bubbles Max suckers squeeze and vacuum-seal. Awesome for twisting around, pressing in, breaking the seal and repeating to start the suction over and over again.
I’d consider them lite BDSM tools in that they can be a tad pinchy (use lubricant around the rim to minimize that, if desired), but are extremely sucky. The bigger size Bubbles, 2 inches tall, give much better suction around my small-for-a-woman areolae and tits.
Use them in a kinkier context too, like alongside a Magic Wand for orgasm control & edging. (Or, for a waterproof toy, I like the Powerhouse Vibe, it’s strong for its size & easy to maneuver!)
Silicone Anal Gaping Tools
Anal gaping is a “fetish” type of play that can be BDSM-adjacent. The goal is to keep your hole open wide, to see the gape or be open for penetration anytime, like upon your dom’s demand. It’s typically anal, since you can see the anus opened up more clearly; but may be experimented with vaginally instead.
For gaping silicone sex toys, you want something whose neck doesn’t narrow down—so the sphincter muscles can’t start to close up at the bottom of the insertable length. Ideas:
- Oxballs Pig-Holes are tunnels intended to keep the asshole gaping during penetration. As Oxballs says, “your ‘new’ hole will gape open, you will have zero control…giving total access…” All Pig-Holes’ walls are thick and add a lot of girth to any penis penetrating the channel. WIDE. The Butt-Hole is the Pig-Hole-style plug with texture inside (for the penis entering) and outside (for the anus / vagina holding the toy). The “soft” silicone is a tad firmer than SquarePeg’s SuperSoft, while the Tantus items labeled “Firm” (in a murkier dark-red) are of course firmer silicone: potentially helpful for stretching if you’re tight.
Silicone Deep-Throat Training
Deep-throating is a skill that your dominant may require you to master—depending on their wishes. SquarePegToys is also a first silicone maker here: creating toys specifically for deep-throating.
High-quality deepthroat dildos, made to not be too wide: So the length is your sole concern. The Slim was the first release, tested for esophageal play. It comes in jiggly-jiggly SuperSoft, that will really bend and snake down your throat—assuming you master that gag reflex!—or in Firmer Black, which is quite soft and flexible, just not as squishy soft as its Bronze colleague.
The series progressed from there, to a Slim Plugged—which you can, apparently, hold in your mouth and wear. It’s about 10.5 inches easily insertable length, so you gotta be trained for this.
What I’d go for, as someone who can take a 6-inch dick but isn’t looking for full-down throat play: The Slim Utility Plug #1 is long enough to train your gag reflex: rather, to train yourself not to give into gagging. Silicone Ball-Stretchers
Ball stretchers can either (1) increase sensation, like a hand comfortable squeezing your sack so you actually want to come faster; OR (2) seriously stretch much lower than the testicles normally sit, which more CBT-oriented.
