Oooh, the pressure!!! The Reverb steel dildo by L’Acier is a vibrating anal hook: that is new!
I’ve tested all kinds of combinations of (1) vibrating toys, (2) metal sex toys, and (3) anal sex toys — but Reverb here is a unique configuration: A metal dildo that can vibrate, and also has 2 separate handle attachments. That’s for the easier reach from behind…
Stainless steel is fantastic anally 🍑 in particular, IMO, because it’s so slick. Zero drag; plus, silicone lubricant (the slickest) cleans off much easier than off silicone sex toys. For the glide.
I’ll review the L’Acier Reverb by Velvet Co.: its pros & cons, anal testing experience + other uses, vibration strength, how to assemble, and the 2 handles — how easy are they to use?
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Vibrating + stainless steel!
- 316 “medical grade” stainless.
- Super-slick surface (no drag).
- Curved shape creates intense pressure.
- Smooth body, medium girth.
- Tapered, so it’s easier to insert anally.
- Good for short, wiggling strokes: Whoa!
- Vibrating bullet feels nifty: 3 strong speeds.
- Waterproof & rechargeable.
- 2 attachments for easier reach from behind.
- Silicone lubricant compatible.
Cons
- Vibration is strongest in the lower dildo (not the tip).
- Handle bends slightly to the side with fast thrusting.
Stainless steel has seriously solid weight, heft, and slickness. L’Acier’s 316 grade stainless is top-quality, durable; the same material found in legendary Njoy steel products like the Pure Wand. (“L’acier” is French for “steel,” pronounced laaa-see-yay.)
Reverb is called an “anal plug,” but it’s not something you can sit on and wear: which is how I would define a plug, as a leave-in toy. In reality, the L’Acier Reverb is all of: an anal dildo, an anal hook, and prostate stimulator. Alternately, it can be used for very focused G-spot stimulation (though that’s not my personal favorite use, more in My Experience); or for clitoral stimulation.🎯
Included with L’Acier Reverb
Included in the box, you get:
- The Reverb steel dildo. (311 grade stainless steel)
- A bullet vibrator that slides into its base (ABS plastic)
- A loop handle. (Firm silicone)
- A long-reach handle. (Firm silicone)
- A charging cord for the vibrator.
- Warranty card & included parts card.
All component materials—stainless steel, ABS plastic, silicone—are considered body-safe, i.e., functionally nonporous and safe for long-term use.
Bullet Vibrator Strength and Feel
The bullet vibrator included with Reverb has great power (for being such a compact lil vibe!), and a rounded tip.
It’s comparable to one of the strongest bullet vibes I recommend here, the Intense Travel Vibe; except with slightly more buzz for the L’acier bullet on the highest strength (function #3, its highest steady intensity, is followed by 7 patterned functions). Among mini-vibes, I’d rate it a 9/10 for its top power—and the only bullet vibe that’s stronger, is also larger.
The stainless steel does dull any high-pitched intensity, so I would not consider it so buzzy in use (inside the Reverb dildo).
It can be used separately for clitoral stimulation, or any external use. (Do not insert just the bullet vibrator inside your rectum, it doesn’t have a flared base.)
My Experience
The Reverb is super fun for short-stroking thrusting in the butt.
I’m someone who does like extra-smooth surfaces anally (vs. vaginally, where I like more soft-skin textures, with a bit of drag). And Reverb is such a smooth fill.
So, I’ll start toying with the Reverb after 10 minutes-ish of anal prep (either a smaller dildo, or a small vibrating plug). L’Acier Reverb is 1.375 inches diameter at the widest insertable point: that’s neither slim, nor large. Medium-thick!
The tip is smaller, though: tapered. So it’ll ease in, if ya go slowly, pushing less than half an inch at a time, with a few stops. After 1 minute, the full 5.5 inches insertable length of this vibrating anal dildo is doable for me (though I prefer to max. out about 4.5 inches; my rectum feels short!).
Let it sit, and then crank up the vibration. I’ve had it running on the lowest vibe function, while inserting; now it’s time for function #2 to get stronger.
The amount of heavy pressure, when angling it from behind, is very stimulating. I can feel my clitoris tingling, too.
When the Reverb steel dildo is angled “backwards” (so it curves toward my tailbone/buttcheeks), the sensation is almost overwhelming. I’m moving real slow.
Flip it around so the Reverb’s curve angles forward (toward my vagina & clit!), and then the thrusting is good. Pulling the handle, jiggling the weighty steel dildo it latches onto, feeling the steel push and slide as I move my hand.
It’s just alotta sensation.
I do recommend moving the Reverb slowly, since the angle’s so dramatic. It’ll feel like its pushing your insides around if you go fast!!
I tend to use an air pulse stimulator to finish here, since I don’t orgasm well from anal play alone. (We-Vibe Melt, yay!) I could feel tears start to well up at the corner of my eyes the last time I used this combo, because the amount of feel-good chemicals in my brain was crazy.
I tried the L’Acier Reverb for G-spot stimulation, before using it as an anal hook. Again, it was very slick, gliding really well. The problem for me was, it glides so smoothly, it just goes deeper and overshoots my G-spot (there’s no ridge to specifically rub all up on the G-spot). I tried the L’Acier Capo next, for G-spot thrusting, and it is intense!!!
I’ve also used the L’acier Reverb as an external vibrator: There, the pinpoint tip (and fatter, smooth shaft below) engage my clit in way I wouldn’t have expected. Turning the vibration intensity up to high (function #3), I get it focused a little underneath my clit, holding the long handle, my legs closed around the vibrating stainless steel. Definitely have sat and enjoyed this experience for half an hour at a go, edging while thinking about being directed to cum. Super hot. The slickness of the steel is a nice change for labia rubbing, too; great if you dislike friction (which silicone grinders do necessarily entail if not well-lubricated).
Handle Attachments
Reaching back for anal insertion and thrusting is tougher than for vaginal—and hard materials (steel and glass) can’t have hands-free, built-in suction cups. (Suction cups have to be able to bend and flex!) Enter our solution here: A detachable silicone handle.
Reverb includes the “finger ring” loop extension, and the “long reach handle.” The ring-loop is easy if you’re also gripping the bottom of the Reverb, and directing it gently into your body from the front; whereas Long Reach works better if:
- You’re trying to reach around to penetrate yourself anally from behind;
- You’re using the Reverb on a partner;
- You have a bigger belly and/or short arms.
The Reverb dildo has 4 notches at the very bottom, into which 4 grooves in each attachment will fit.
L’Acier’s long-handle bends slightly, side-to-side (left to right), as you apply pressure while thrusting. It’s designed with lots o’ notches, that act as more grip if you’re holding it with wet / lube-slicked hands.
My first Long-Reach handle would slowly edges off the dildo when I started thrusting fast. It didn’t fall off, I just noticed the handle slipping apart from the stainless steel. This turned out to be a unique issue to that particular Long-Reach handle, which is covered by L’Acier’s 1-year warranty. If you have a similar problem (handle doesn’t stay put on dildo), you can reach out to them at support@laciershop.com & they’ll send a free replacement handle.
Care & Cleaning
To clean, remove the bullet vibrator and the handle attachment from the steel dildo. Wash each piece separately, with your normal hand soap under running water in the sink. The bullet vibrator is waterproof.
Then, shake out any excess water from the dildo’s vibrator cavity and the grooves in the long handle, and set all parts on a clean towel to dry off. You can later put it all back into the storage box, if desired.
Recap & Rating
Thrusting the Reverb dildo is slip-n-slide (with silicone lube, yay), as its extreme curve is dealing out solid, firm pressure. It’s the smoothest anal thrusting I’ve ever had, which is so good.
The intensity of the curve and hard *bam* of the steel make short strokes best. It’s not a thick dildo, but it feels very filling because of the steel’s weight. There’s no ridge or other texture to catch on your internal tissues, so the smoothness is that much more polished. So, if you’re looking for a prostate rubbing / G-spot massaging toy specifically — one with a ridge that’ll push inward lots more as you move the dildo — then the L’Acier Capo would be a better option. (Oooh, damn, that’s some pressure!) Reverb, in contrast, is all slickness, pure glide.
The vibrating bullet adds extra zing to the weighty metal, while the long-handle attachment is a neat add-on for thrusting from behind, or into your partner. 🙌
