Steve, he’s a smooth kinda guy. In SquarePegToys’ SuperSoft silicone—but more slick than previous life-cast dildos. Oh, and the curve. Angling forward, the Steve dildo’s ridge is a line of SuperSoft Bronze (or Graphite or Chestnut) that pull-pull-pulls on P- or G-spot.
Yeah, Steve here is exciting: that soft, fleshy feel plus more focus than any other SquarePegToys life-cast dong. You have to read the story behind the Steve dildo’s creation, written by SquarePegToys’ founder Scott:
Steve was introduced to me by a friend of mine. I knew [my friend] wasn’t into bottoming much anally but … he suddenly was texting me pics of a new guy he had met and raving about how good his stick felt … Finding this curve in a real life example[,] I knew right away I needed to make [Steve] into a toy, and thankfully for us all, he agreed! My bud couldn’t stop raving about the power Steve’s perfectly shaped curve held over his prostate. He’s got a nice girth too … the thick root giving you good control over where the head is pushing.1
Steve came to me after I’d started my love affair with the Nathan SuperSoft dildo, where I like Actual Size a lot and love, love, love the 1X size. Nathan made me revise 4 separate dildo guides after I realized its goodness—because if you enjoy realism and comfort, you simply have to try some SquarePeg SuperSoft silicone. (I mean, it’s 2020, baby, anything could happen next: I say, carpe dildo!)
So how does Steve-O compare to my previous SquarePeg fave, Nathan? This Steve SuperSoft silicone dildo review digs into its spot pressure (bam! 💥), its smoother silicone, and trying out Steve’s FlushCup suction.

The Steve Curve
Steve rocks out with a:
- more targeted head
- and slicker shaft (more on that later).
Basically, he’s leaning forward to please you… Steve’s curved head has a slight taper, before bulging outward into a chunky ridge (then getting even thicker). It’s a prostate-pounder for sure, a G-spot massager. Both internal hotspots respond similarly to forward-curving pressure, like fingers bending in!
Honestly, I have a SquarePegToys dildo problem now: gotta collect ‘em all, AND in multiple sizes where possible.2 I’ve had Steve for 4 months now, and we’ve seen a lot of action…
My Experience w/ Steve & G-Spot Play
Steve, baby. C’mere and give me some love.
I want to give SquarePegToys’ Steve a personality, because he (I mean, it!) has pounded me real good.
I have to admit, I was surprised by Steve’s focus at the beginning. The ridge just homes in for “spot action.” Steve’s extremely curved, but still of course flexible in the SuperSoft silicone. The line of this head! It’s practically aggressive for a firmness this squishy.
First, Steve’s just sliding right in, smoothly; then flaring out into that bell shape that takes you.
The SquarePegToys Steve is thick, take note. The smallest “Actual Size,” cast right off real-life Steve, is between 1.8 and 1.9 inches diameter at the widest head point, slightly under 2 inches diameter for most of Steve Harness’ shaft, and up to 2.2 inches diameter right above Steve Harness’ base. Two inches is my favorite dildo width, it’s like the 99.9% percentile for human penis width. But if you want bigger, then SquarePegToys has sized up Steve to 1X and 2X sizes for you. (If you want smaller, I strongly suggest Nathan Actual Size.)
I feel pushed just wide open enough as Steve’s lower shaft goes in.
Thrusting the Steve dildo into myself is sweet. I can control the angle and speed exactly. Yet there’s something about Steve’s abundant ridge that beckons me to either rock on the toy, or have it thrust for me.
I write a lot of words, but I’m almost (almost, I said) at a loss for them when trying to describe how hard-core an experience Steve can be. Explosive, perhaps.
Last time I had Steve (the one with SquarePegHole) on my sex machine, I swear to you that I came somewhere between twenty and thirty times. After orgasming for over five minutes, you lose the ability to really keep track of numbers and things like that.
At that moment in time, it’s only the rubbing of the 1.25 inches of Steve actual-size’s corona that really makes contact, and a feeling of fleshiness from the mid-shaft, and the stretching at the base. And I’m alternating between saying things like, “GIVE ME THAT HEAD,” whimpering, and trembling.
Now that’s an experience. I actually brought 4 out of 5 SquarePeg life-cast dils on a trip with me to New Orleans (I couldn’t quite cram Leo’s length in my mini-backpack, shucks), because
- I wanted to play with Steve even more,
- Nathan is my stand-by (the broadness of that ridge); and
- when you select a room based on the bed’s gold headboard, who knows, magical things may happen. (Or at least relaxation may!!!)
FlushCup Base & Suction Cup Play
See 3 out of 5 SquarePegToys lifecasts with FlushCup below: and Steve angles upward the most out of any of these dudes. Still maintaining the cuuuurve when stuck to a vertical surface, because of how its shaft tapers outward. More support from the “thick root,” as SquarePegToys puts it.
If you happen to have smooth shower walls (especially the walk-in kind where there’s no bathtub edge separating you from being pressed up against the wall), then go Steve for sure—for backing up into.
Steve’s FlushCup does need to pressed down firmly onto a smooth surface: you won’t get the best results if you’ve got a bumpy or painted wall or wood textures. Very polished wood, smooth tile, smooth bathtub, plastic toilet seat, etc., are more amenable.
I find horizontal surfaces easier than vertical ones with Steve and my new place. A thin bathroom drawer, that I could pull out over and over, happened to be just the right height. But I got tired of jerking it open and closed before long. My kitchen table chairs proved too contoured: not flat, so the FlushCup needed my full weight on it, and I wanted to move just a liiittle more.
The inside corner of my jacuzzi bathroom tub proved the winner: that’s the smoothest surface, supports my back well, and gives me enough room to brace my arms on opposite sides of my hips and rock up and down. Definitely a fun workout, as a quick ride.
As always, suction cup dildo-ing takes some experimentation, maybe some creativity; and depends on the surfaces you have available in your home!
Note that Steve Harness comes in two versions: the FlushCup one discussed in this section, and the SquarePegHole one (for Vac-u-Lock sex machine or Vac harness) that I mentioned coming my brains out on previously. 🤯
Smoother Than Life: Steve’s SuperSoft Finish
Steve’s squishy, and glides better than any other SuperSoft Bronze realistic I own.3
Streamlined, I dare say. SquarePegToys clearly put some work into making Steve as smooth as possible, while still keeping skin-line textures and little veins in Steve Harness’ top 3 inches.
Besides that, Steve is as slick as the Egg Plugs that every butt-toy fan should become acquainted with. Lube up Steve’s head and body with a hybrid lube that lasts well; or use oil-based lube (it’s safe with pure silicone!) and say goodbye to drag even if you’re thrusting like no tomorrow.
I can’t get enough of comparing dildos, so I ranked the 5 SquarePegToys realistic life-casts from least to most textured. This ranking now applies to the new “version 2” models, where Leo in particular, and also Dirk and Nathan 1X, have been redone late 2021 to be much more… Steve-like. Smoother.
- Steve, the slick one
- Nathan
- Mel
- Dirk (the chode!) vs. Leo (the long boi)
- Dustin (not pictured below): The most texture! Serious skin!!!
Leo (the tallest above) has a following because of its long length and also, I suspect, because its multitudinous skin lines really pull around your hole. New Leo version 2 is still long, and still has some skin texture, but is much less draggy going into 2022! Rejoice, I’m going to have to write a separate review for this long dong.
So it does depend on exactly what you’re looking for. Different dildos for different moods over here.
Steve comes in two versions, the Steve Harness one without balls and the “just Steve” full live model. I think the scrotum texture in the non-Harness Steve is sexy, but the Harness one is my most-used Steve. No balls = easier to hold onto the base and thrust, and Steve Harness also has an extra inch of insertable length—for more wiggle room with suction cup play, like if I am leaning forward.
Like with any SquarePeg male-named toy, it’s awesome how you can tell these are real people because they’re not exactly symmetrical. Not designed on a computer. Steve’s coronal ridge veers up more on the right side than the left, and the scrotum has a particularly groovy ridge on left (viewed from behind), angling up.
SquarePegToys SuperSoft is slightly firmer than the outside of Vixen Creations’ highly regarded VixSkin realistic dual-density dildos—but SquarePeg’s SuperSoft formula is not so sticky-tacky like VixSkin. I find Steve’s ridge more imposing than the VixSkin Mustang’s, and Steve keeps its curve about the same as Mustang despite not having a firm core—again because of Steve’s widening shaft, how it’s thick for the length.
SuperSoft Platinum: Worth It
Listen, it’s the kind of year where I think most everyone4 deserves something real nice. Pleasurable. Stress-relieving. The best you can get yourself.
Steve’s in 100% platinum-grade silicone, like all SquarePegToys handmade creations. He’s not going to degrade on you over time. Not going to smell like a shower curtain, not going to make your hole burn, not allow mold to grow on the surface.
You’re not buying some cheap Chinese knock-off here. You’re buying a handmade item, from a company that uses American labor, and has a 25-year history of crafting plugs and dildos from the safest soft sex toy material. High-quality platinum-grade silicone. They’re also devoted to educating about material safety and anal play safety.
SquarePegToys is indeed the original SuperSoft silicone maker, having put out squishier items as early as 2006. And if I know anything, it’s that people can get really excited upon discovering these fleshier-feeling soft silicone toys. If you are more sensitive, and you love both (a) penetration and (b) quality work, you may become one of us with shelves of silicone dildos, boxes of silicone dildos, maybe even the occasional bathtub of silicone dildos.
Imagine my own disappointment when I started buying silicone toys 8 years ago, and got one of these realistic-looking dildos whose ridge turned out hard as a rock against my G-spot. Much confusion ensued. “Why does it even look realistic if it feels like this???” I’m sure I considered about this NOT-SquarePeg dildo.
So it’s a huge relief to now own lots of toys with a forgiving feel that I can really thrust, or ride, or have penetrate me automatically (!) without discomfort. As long as I’ve got my lube, let the good times roll.
Steve Dildo Recap
We simply have to declare Steve the ultimate SquarePegToys realistic creation for G/P-spot. No debate. And still with the squishy SuperSoft feel, which is epicly enjoyable if you want a fleshy pounding—but don’t have a real-life dick at hand.
This thick dildo has a more prominent ridge, a stronger curve, and a smoother finish than other SquarePeg real-life dildos. So if you want your spot focused on, massaged by a soft and forgiving toy, Steve is 100% for that.
Honestly, I would choose this dildo over the immensely popular VixSkin Mustang because I do appreciate Steve’s head being above-average thickness, and I like how it pushes me open wider. Steve’s ridge feels like *more* to me, requires me to be less vigorous with the thrusting to orgasm than Mustang’s super-duper soft corona does. And hey, Actual Size Steve is also 58.8 percent of Mustang’s price (despite being wider).

NOTES
- Emphasis added by Phallophile Reviews. Quotation drawn from SquarePegToys.com.
- Steve plus Leo and Mel are the toys with the same general shape throughout many sizes; vs. Nathan and especially Dirk, where the two sizes are two different poses.
- Unless you consider the Big Stick and Thick Stick, which I’d call semi-realistic; they’re super-smooth without the skin detailing.
- Oh, I definitely have standards for people too, I’m only talking about the at least semi-considerate ones among all y’all 😛
Just ordered, hope she likes. Mustang is her current fave. Great review!
Oooh, I hope she’s liking it too! Have fun!!!
How does steve measure on the shore scale?
Hi! Educated opinion is that SquarePeg SuperSoft silicone is 00-40 shore, though the manufacturer doesn’t disclose durometer.
Hi, I would like to know what you would prefer, suction cup or squarepeghole. I want to use mine with machine and suction cup but I‘m not sure if the hole will be annoying if used by hand. So many options 😍
The SquarePegHole version is WAY flexible to thrust without an insert. You can fill it with a bullet vibe if thrusting by hand.
What size Steve are you wanting, and does your machine have a suction cup adapter?
It has both vac u lock and suction cup adapter. I was just wondering what kind of base is more versatile so I don’t have to buy more than one:) I think I‘d go for average size Steve.
I’m debating on getting steve a/s since I have both nathan (which I got after your review 😊) and vixen mustang already. I love the g spot targeting curve on the mustang and the texture and head of nathan. Since you say Steve is smoother than other Squarepeg toys, is it still more textured than the mustang/ is there much difference between the mustang and Steve besides being thicker?
The thickness is definitely the biggest (ha) difference: a lot more stretch around where the toy goes in. I wouldn’t say there’s a massive difference in terms of shaft texture: it’s the shape that matters.
Hey, what are your thoughts on Steve AS versus 1X?
My thoughts are that all Steves are essentially the same except size. So choose whichever size suits you for comfort!
Any chance you have measurements for the 1x?
Curious on the mid shaft diameter as well on the 1x.
It seems Steve actual and 1x are rather similar, compared to Nathan vs 1x big delta.
Could you please tell me what the insertable length is for the Steve with balls? Also, possibly the circumference at the base above the balls? Wife and I are looking to use this with our Spareparts Joque harness, but that caps out at 2” diameter.
Hey, I’m so sorry I missed this quite a while ago! This summer was nuts for me. Please let me know whether you’re still looking for this information!
What would you recommend for the most realistic feel to the real dick? We have the vixen buck which is great, but I want something my partner (who needs a little smaller) and I can both share and the stickiness of vixen is unpleasant, but I love the squish. Super soft worries me that it will just feel like a flacid penis.. Tried with a soft tantus and it didn’t arouse either of us.. I’m looking at the Nathan A/S or the Steve A/S. Steve looks like too wide for my partner and not enough head for G-spot. Nathan looks good but might be too short for a harness. How to the two compare? Do you already have a comparison? What did you like better, closest to the D and immediate excitement when inside ? or do you recommend a different dildo all together?
Super-soft silicone is definitely firmer / loss floppy than a flaccid penis, but is more flexible. If you don’t like Tantus Super Soft, I would point you toward a dual-density dildo instead: silicone list here. Also see my ranking of most realistic dildos here!
Hey! Thanks for your reply. After some more play with Buck and a soft silicone I have, I’ve decided to try a girthy SPT. Love the Buck for pressure play, but the soft just felt good switching between both during play.
I’m torn between the Nathan 1x and Steve. I’ve been reading all your reviews and I see you loving Nathan 1x ALOT. Then also good orgasms with Steve. Which do you like best? Which feels most satisfying? If I had to pick 1, which would you reccomend? (Use in solo and occasionally recieving by strap on) Thanks again!
Steve is by far the only Dido my wife loves. She likes the largest and loves to tease her pussy by almost entering. The curve and head are perfect for her.
I would like to see a suction cupped photo from the side. I’m assuming it must lose at least some of its curve in supersoft.
