Flexbang Review: Suction Cup Dildo Positioning Aid

Lazy penetration is high on my list of “sex toy selling points,” so Flexbang, a suction cup dildo positioning tool, intrigued me. Essentially, it’s a right angle, made of flexible acrylic, that you stick any suction cup dildo on to. It’s not a toy mount, per se, because you can’t get on top of it. Instead, Flexbang works for facilitating deeper penetration and for from-behind penetration.

I’ve tried a lot of suction cup dildo positions, but Flexbang’s short L-shape wasn’t immediately intuitive to me. I had to explore the pics on Flexbang’s Instagram to get some ideas! Then I started figuring Flexbang out on my own…

Note / update: Flexbang is discontinued. See my TOM mount review here for another hands-free option, and my favorite **body-safe** suction dildos list here.

How It Works

Both ends of Flexbang include two circular holes, for threading a scarf, necktie, rope, etc., through. The toy currently comes with a soft, nylon-type leopard print scarf. You pull on the scarf (or similar attachment) to make Flexbang’s acrylic body bend, forcing the attached dildo to thrust. You can also choose to pull on the shatter-resistant acrylic directly. Or find a partner to do the scarf-pulling for you!

Flexbang is hands-free in one position, but not so much in the other…

On Your Back (Missionary-Ish)

Flexbang is capable of imitating two classic sex positions: missionary and doggy.

To use Flexbang while lying on your back, put a pillow on top of the half you’re lying on, then probably a towel over that.

Kinda-missionary, that is: Flexbang’s acrylic is flexible but can’t lean in to the degree that a human torso can. When the dildo-receiver is lying on their back, Flexbang’s positioning is similar to a sex machine’s. The attached toy will be able to move in and out for sure, but it’s a struggle to make it bend upward—for greater vaginal mouth and clitoral stimulation. I have a harder time grinding on a dildo mounted on Flexbang than I do when using a flexible suction cup dildo mounted on a wall, for example.

Also, in this position, you’re still thrusting your dildo by moving your hands, just indirectly. It’s not lazier than thrusting a dildo by hand, but it may be more convenient because:

  • You don’t have to lean forward to get your toy’s full length. Instead you have all the length of the scarf to work with, and your hands can stay around your chest area rather than bending down toward your pelvic floor. I can see this being especially helpful for people with bigger bodies or reach issues.
  • And if you’re able to take the dildo’s full length, with the right toy the balls will slap against your skin.
  • You can also adjust the depth of penetration by moving Flexbang backward or forward. Finding the perfect positioning—of Flexbang itself, the dildo, the pillow under my back, and my body—usually takes about a minute of trial and error, and this is why.

My favorite dildo to stick on Flexbang while I’m lying flat is the Blush Neo Elite 7 Inch. It’s the right length to not slam into my cervix when I’m pulling Flexbang into myself hard, it’s super-soft outside and realistic-feeling, and the balls are flat enough to hit my clit with each thrust.

Sometimes I get tired of pulling on Flexbang’s leopard scarf by hand, so I’ve found that wrapping the scarf around my wrists works well. I’ve also crossed the scarf ends over each other, so my hands are closer together, for a more “bound” feel.

A final wrapping solution is to get a longer fabric/rope length (bondage rope, anyone?), wrap one end around your torso, and the other around the wrist. Then you have a free hand, helpful if you want to use a clit vibe along with your dildo-ing.

And lastly, since I do like the lazy things, I’ve mounted my absolute favorite sex toy combo, the Velvet Thruster Mini with soft VixSkin sheath, onto Flexbang and just let it do the work for me. (This setup works with Velvet Thruster Mini alone too.) It takes me a little rearranging, usually, till I figure out exactly how deep the Thruster will be going and get Flexbang scooted forward or backward. Then, suction cup firmly in place, this set up is much simpler than sandwiching a T.O.M. dildo mount (review here) between my knees when I want 100% hands-free penetration. If I want even more speed than Velvet Mini’s approximately hundred or so strokes per minute, I can tug on the scarf too—or just hold it steady so that I’m getting the full 2″ thrust length from this self-propelled toy.

Vs. On Your Knees (Doggy-Ish)

The second way to Flexbang is on your knees. Either

  1. keep your back straight, while either securing the scarf around your torso OR using both hands to pull on the scarf; or
  2. lean forward, more doggy-like, with the scarf tied around your body. (Pillows in front of you are helpful, to brace yourself against.)

In the first situation, Flexbang mostly stays in an unbent shape. I can grind backwards on the dildo this way, using my body’s motion to rock the toy in and out. It’s a limited range of motion, because my ass is right up on the dildo. This position is more comfortable with a semi-flexible toy too—like the Colours Dual Density 8″ that I typically use. It’s got some extra length, to bridge the distance between Flexbang and my vagina, and I’m always a fan of two-layer silicone construction.

With the second positioning, both ends of Flexbang will bend as you lean forward and move. You might put pillows on top of the horizontal arm for maximum stability. Again, because you are literally tied to the toy, the movement isn’t intense. I can’t make this into a doggy-style fuckfest.

Flexbang Packaging

Flexbang is 20 inches long on both ends, and can’t be compressed for shipping purposes (like a Liberator pillow mount is till you open the packaging). The result: a really frickin’ large box. This is the largest-area sex toy package I’ve ever received, there’s no way around that. Flexbang’s return label also included “Pleasure” in the shipping name, so… Keep that in mind if you live with anyone you don’t want knowing you’ve ordered an erotic product.

Overall Thoughts

I think Flexbang is an interesting tool. It has a couple uses—getting more length out of my dildos and slappier balls—that are unique among sex toy positioning aids. The slick surface is non-porous, flexible but break-resistant, and easy to wipe down after use.

Controlling Flexbang’s motion can be strenuous if you’re given to fast thrusting. I honestly find it harder to move Flexbang at a rapid pace than to jerk a dildo by hand (plus my upward angling is limited). So I decided to solve this situation creatively: When I want to be extra lazy with my penetration1 but still get off, Flexbang is the best place I’ve found to stick my favorite self-thrusting dildo.

With a normal suction cup dildo, it’s easier to move Flexbang at a moderate to slower pace. I can also imagine it being fun if I had an enthusiastic partner to do the scarf-pulling for me! Flexbang’s see-through acrylic gives a good view from all angles.

  1. After initial Flexbang positioning, that is, that just takes a minute.
