Pleasure Tailor Triarx Review: Triple-Density Realistic Dildo

A dream dildo. Pleasure Tailor’s Triarx triple-density dildo is body-safe platinum silicone that’s as lifelike as we can get, and customized to give: (1) Three different layers of silicone, balanced precisely; (2) a strong ridge + G-spot/prostate curve; and (3) a rippling vein down Triarx’s shaft for extra massage. Realistic + G-spot stimulating + grind-worthy too. Bam!

NOTE: Pleasure Tailor orders may be delayed, as of early 2024. See alternative dual-density silicone dildos here, or other triple-density silicone dils here.

The Triarx dildo is my favorite triple-density dildo now: it’s got a thin “skin” layer covering a softer inside (fleshy!) and a firm core (erect!). All for the more-real feel, which dual-density silicone dildos have striven to achieve over the last decade. I was skeptical about triple-density sex toys before the Pleasure Tailor, but now… Yeah, this is great, I’m onboard.

The Pleasure Tailor worked with me to get the Triarx Dildo as close as possible to meeting my exacting standards — resulting in a toy that both can make me orgasm really hard, and is so much easier to use than the RealCock2 (which costs four times as much as the Pleasure Tailor Triarx!).

This Pleasure Tailor review describes how the Triarx’s triple density feels (see demo here), why I designed it the way I did, the Pleasure Tailor dildo customization process, and how to clean & care for a triple-density dildo like Triarx.

How Triarx Feels: Pleasure Tailor Triples!

The three layers. We labored to get the Triarx’s not one, but two! cores balanced in a way that feels highly realistic. The point of the 3 layers (2 inside, then a “skin” layer outside) is so the Triarx has:

  1. A “skin” outside
  2. A fleshy, meaty inside
  3. A harder core

“Fleshy” + “erect” is also what you’ll get from a dual-density dildo’s two layers. But the third skin layer here not only contains the super-soft silicone (so Triarx and other Pleasure Tailor products are less sticky) but IMO adds a touch more realism. Especially when the Triarx is going deep and I sense the skin against my cervix; or when it’s rubbing my G-spot, that bit of extra firmness helps me orgasm faster than just super-squishy outside would. (I don’t need to thrust as fast to reach orgasm.)

Triarx’s head pushed firmly from the top.

The Pleasure Tailor’s diagrams of the Triarx’s interior are so illustrative! Here’s one from when the head’s 3-layers were tweaked, because I’d gone against their original recommendation at first by asking for the core to extend up pretty far into the toy’s head:

Yeah, they worked super-hard to get the Triarx right for my realism-loving tastes 😄 SO many emails exchanged

This is a G-spot dildo / a prostate one. If you haven’t caught this, “Triarx” means “three arcs,” connoting the dildo’s three layers of silicone all arching forward together. For the internal massage, mmmm. G-spots and prostates both require a forward rubbing motion for good stimulation, and you’ll get that from a curve + a prominent ridge (or bulbous head). My design’s got the protruding coronal (head) ridge sticking out; then two little ridges underneath. They’re a stylized retracted foreskin that offer a teeeeny bit more feeling on the “downstroke” as you pull the Triarx’s shaft outward.

I love those little extra touches of sensation. The way the Triarx dildo by Pleasure Tailor wraps around my pelvic bone inside is awesome, it just locks right in, so the lower shaft is sticking out and rubbing as I thrust. On Triarx round #1, that got me thinking: What about a little more? So there was a random original vein that the Pleasure Tailor threw in because I wanted some realistic veins; it was close to touching my clit, but I had to turn the Triarx like 20 degrees sideways. On the Triarx round #2 (the final mold!), I asked them to move that vein up and center up, and make it stick out more. Now, in the Pleasure Tailor Triarx final version, it rubs under my clitoris when I have Triarx’s head above my G-spot. Fabulous.

It’s so easy to reach that big ridge when I use the Triarx hands-free via the suction cup base! Yes, it has a suction cup base! This is a fairly long dildo, 6.5 inches insertable length, so I use that extra length for suction-cup wall mounting instead of sitting on. (My vagina is not that long, it likes a median 5.5 inches penis, tops.) And OMG, I feel like I’ve totally rediscovered suction cup dildo use again. I did all kinds of experiments with it years ago, but have fallen into “just lying on my back” dildo-ing of late. Hmm. Triarx is so stimulating and so well-balanced that I can stick it on my shower wall and orgasm without a ton of work. Then I’m pulling it off the wall, and thrusting it by hand again.

Don’t forget your thick shower lube!

And I remember the beauty of overflowing orgasms that got me into realistic dildo testing in the first place. The buildup, of thrusting a silicone dildo in and out of my body and knowing I was going to make myself come really hard. I remembered the joy of finally finding my first high-quality dildos, after I got my final Triarx model — except now it’s even better because the density and the curve and the look are exactly what I wanted.

Matte Or Slick? A Note On Triarx’s Finish

Since I do like a little more feeling — but comfort too (since I’m all about the squishy silicone) — I wanted a silky matte finish on the Triarx dildo’s “skin” layer. I recommend the Matte (Mild Drag) finish, it is slightly silkier than the original!!! Pleasure Tailor was working with the very smooth, natural “gloss” finish of Smooth-On platinum silicones previously: It is now called Candy Coated Gloss, and is super-slick.

In Matte (Mild Drag), the Triarx’s skin-matte is silky, but a teeny bit rugged too. If you’re a fantasy toy fan who is aggrieved by “printer texture,” then yes, the Triarx-my-version does have small lines like that. And if you’re someone who loves the slick-smoothness of lubed-up VixSkin, it’ll also have a good bit more texture. I think it’s great and pretty natural once you add thick water-based lube. However, if you want a slicker Triarx, I do recommend you choose the Candy Coated Gloss Finish.

That leads me to the best thing about the Pleasure Tailor, in line with their core philosophy: You can make any toy yours, tailored to your own tastes.

Pleasure Tailor Custom Process

The Pleasure Tailor will let you customize almost anything. It’s a goal that’s honestly revolutionary; no other silicone dildo maker will let you take an existing model and start tweaking it so much.

For example, with the Triarx dildo, you can pay $50 more than standard price and you can modify:

  • the silicone’s firmness (for any of the 3 layers!),
  • and the color.

You can also make it bigger or smaller for a fee. I’m still having a tough time wrapping my head around how special this all is. When Pleasure Tailor emailed me in summer 2021, I couldn’t believe they wanted to let customers fully customize toys, and in triple-density platinum silicone too.

No other dildo-maker will give you that much control. Also, no independent makers do strong suction cups on dual-density dildos, nevermind triple-density ones.

If you aren’t a huge fan of my realistic dream dildo’s shape… Then just have the Pleasure Tailor make you your own, for $263, with the “Custom Pleasure Product Design Service.” It’s not cheap, but they will absolutely toil to make the toy how you want it.

Here’s what the Custom Design Service was like for me, and how the Triarx dildo was created. I started by emailing the shop owner, West, a sketch of the silicone dick I thought I wanted: a front view and a sideview outlines, created in colored pencil. Drawing a realistic penis is hard, it turns out. 😄 So after the Pleasure Tailor had translated my emailed sketch image into their 3D software, I saw the result and was like, “Eh… Let me rethink that.” So I used a real-life penis outline to make it more natural, a good-curved one… And thus, we moved onto the first prototype, Triarx Dildo 1.0. It turned out I haddn’t totally grasped how the real-life 3-D head would look from a flat screen-view, so I wanted the head a little broader — plus I wanted to stick in that clit-stimulating vein I’d come up with. My second draft also including altering the density balance as mentioned above, because I’d been afraid the head would be too squishy and gone against West’s outlined suggestion of where the firm inner core should end. (But I’d been wrong, the firmer “skin” layer totally eliminates that “slightly flaccid” feel I get from über-squishy VixSkin-esque heads.) Triarx 2.0 was alive! And, the Pleasure Tailor retooled to get me that silky skin-line matte I wanted, rather than (IMO an unnaturally) smooth gloss finish, sending me a couple finish versions to compare.

You know the only thing I did not change on the Pleasure Tailor at some point during the design process? The densities. I picked the three Shore durometers I knew I would want for each silicone layer, and was immediately satisfied with the result. I do know my Shore durometers! Do note: Pleasure Tailor and I opted for a soft-not-squishy 20A-Shore skin in order to guarantee that the Triarx would stand up to hard use for years. It is thin, so it does not feel hard like a full-on 20A dildo. You can request a softer density outside,1 but the silicone will be more prone to tearing. (Sadly, moving foreskin dildos are not a thing in body-safe silicone!)

TL;DR: The Pleasure Tailor was so receptive to all my feedback, making a half-dozen little changes and sending twenty-plus detailed emails as we worked through the design service process. We did a video-conference for half an hour once too, so I could see the toy rotated in their software, and that was smooth and informative. Overall, West of the Pleasure Tailor’s suggestions and subtle comparisons gave me the strong impression that they’ve done a ton of research on how to make great triple-density dildos, and about how their work will compare to other popular silicone dildo options. The fact that the Pleasure Tailor is able to pull off triple-density at all — without one or more of the layers delaminating — and to also tack those strong suction bases onto triple-density silicone… “Impressed” is not a powerful enough word for how good I feel this new independent maker’s work is.

P.S. They ship in brown boxes that include your dildo inside a black drawstring baggie! The Pleasure Tailor is based in Florida and ships as “P. Tailor.” The Pleasure Tailor box and packing materials are recyclable paper and cardboard. They do not use plastic packaging in an effort to be as eco-friendly as possible. Plastic “safety seals” on big-brand toys frankly (1) break easily in transit, so they really don’t guarantee anything; (2) plus create more garbage. Buy from a reputable retailer or vendor (not Amazon), and “safety seals” are totally unnecessary.

Care & Cleaning Pleasure Tailor’s 3-Density

I take special care with my Triarx, knowing how much careful work went into it!

No doubt the Pleasure Tailor’s triple-density body-safe silicone is stable and safe for long-term use. But the three-layer balance makes me want to recommend against boiling it, just in case.

You can of course wash it well with normal soap and water. The outer layer of my Triarx triple is a 10A Shore Dragon Skin silicone, so it’ll stand up well to other sanitization methods besides boiling (like rubbing down with 70% isopropyl alcohol, then washing well with soap and water again). The same will hold true of any of the platinum silicones that the Pleasure Tailor uses.

Like any other silicone dildo, you can leave it to air-dry on a towel after washing, or just towel it off with a lint-free cloth. You can store it touching other pure silicone sex toys, though you wouldn’t want to smush it under many pounds of other dildos like at the bottom of a storage tub!

Pleasure Tailor Triarx Recap

The Triarx is a silicone dick that I dreamed of & the Pleasure Tailor facilitated. NO ONE makes silicone dildos specially for individual human beings like this new company! It’s truly incredible. With Triarx dildo, I designed it, we tailored it to my taste, and I’ve come so hard on this triple-density dildo silicone dildo! It’s made me remember why I love this category of sex toy so very much, ultra-realistic silicone dildos.

I’ll tell you again what the Triarx dildo, my imagining made into silicone, will give you:

  • The G-spot / prostate head that rubbbbs as you thrust
  • The balanced three layers of silicone, so rare
  • The veins outside, especially that one I put in to make my clit even happier
  • The suction cup base!!! (Wow, Vixen Creations is feeling outdated here, since Pleasure Tailor’s suction cups actually work.)

Such a happy camper. I’m almost sad about my RealCock 2 Dirk now, like it and I have broken up and I’ve moved onto a better lover. One that doesn’t make me deal with their awkward baggage (= the RealCock’s extremely awkward base & heavy balls).2

At a much lower price, Pleasure Tailor offers more customization and faster delivery (after your custom design is finalized, if you’re going that route rather than premade). Downsides to the Pleasure Tailor Triarx are that yeah, it doesn’t have ultra-realistic silicone paint, it’s one flat color. But, one-color also means that your toy won’t suffer delamination, whereas my RealCock has bubbling spots on its colored balls 2 years in. My only real caveat for you, if you’re considering picking up a Triarx, is that I wanted more texture, so the matte finish may feel draggy if you’re used to slick VixSkin or similar. Request a gloss finish Triarx instead if that’s your preference. Or ask the Pleasure Tailor to modify this dildo another way, they’ll do it!

NOTES

  1. The Triarx densities being 20A, 00-30, & 30A respectively.
  2. It’s hard not to personify the super-realistic dildos sometimes, y’all. 😄

  1. Hi, I wanted to thank you for designing the Triarx dildo with the wonderful team of “Pleasure Tailor”. It is gorgeous and has an incredible finish: I have never touched a silicone dildo that was so close to the real thing. Thank you very much!

    • In terms of G-spot pressure, I think the Triarx is more like the pressure of a (curved) penis head.

The Uberrime Supero is softer (like dual-density silicone typically is) and the ridge has been muted now (redesigned in 2021). Supero popped a lot more before the ridge basically got sanded down / all smoothed out. I don’t like the redesign.

I’d even say the Blush Neo Elite 8 Inch feels more realistic than the Supero at this point, especially if you’re looking to ride the toy. The Triarx’s outer layer firmness comes through when you’re trying to mount it; vs. when I’m lying back and using slower strokes, is the way it’s the realistic for me.

      Hope that helps!

  2. Am I to understand that buying the Triarx off the rack now is THIS version you’ve designed with them and reviewed? Or would I need to order alterations to make one like yours? It seems perfect! Thanks!

    Reply
    • Hi, yes, the Off the Rack one is the standard, unaltered one that’s featured in my review. You can choose it in “skin textured” or “smooth” finish. A point about the latter: I recently got a sample of Pleasure Tailor’s new smooth finish, which they contrast with the gloss finish that’s even smoother (which wasn’t my thing for the Triarx, since the gloss felt unnaturally smooth to me). I think I may even like the version-2 smooth finish better than the skin-textured one.

      Thank you for reading!

  3. Can this be used with a harness/boxer to penetrate a partner? What is the O-ring size? I couldn’t find any info on the website.

    Reply
    • Hi! Yes, absolutely, any toy with a flared base (that’s not ginormous) can be used in a standard (non-Vac-hole) harness. When looking for O-ring size, you want to consider the widest insertable diameter. Specs for the Triarx are:

      > Dimensions: 6.8 inches total length standing upright; ≈ 6.5 inches insertable length; 1.75 inches max. head diameter; from 1.5 to 1.9 inches shaft diameter (upper shaft to lower shaft) …

So if you’re using a hard O-ring, like a metal one, then a 2-inch ring is correct. However, most silicone O-rings are stretchier, so a 1.5-inch silicone O-ring will usually fit up to ≈ 2 inches diameter. The Triarx will fit inside Temptasia Brief’s stretchy ring, for one, or inside Spareparts harnesses.

  4. Hello, I am looking for a dildo to use with my partner that FEELS the more real as it can be, I have the BANDIT and RANGEN from vixskin creations but for her is still hard, and not too real feeling, so I was wonder if this one could be the one or which one can you recommend me. We use it with a strapon. Thank you so much

    • Hi! So if your partner thinks VixSkin is too hard, the Triarx is not the right product “as designed” for her. You’d want to use the alteration service to: probably remove the firmer skin layer outside, and go with 00-20 or 0-30 silicone over a 2A core; so it’s dual-density but with a much softer core than is standard for dual-density dildos. And the Triarx’s vein is also meant to be prominent and rub, so if VixSkin’s squishy outside is too hard, then this is very likely not the right toy for her in general.

VixSkin is indeed very soft outside, softer than any part of an erection if measured with a Shore durometer, so I have to assume that what’s throwing her off is the firmer silicone core underneath. Dual-density toys have that core to try to be more erect-like stable:

For lots of squish & flex, check out a pure super-soft silicone toy. Look at the first two bullet points in this “Soft Squishy” silicone list for good brands. 00-30 Shore fantasy dildos may also suit.

    • I’m not sure! Might be OK. Especially since they apparently aren’t allowing alterations, which presumably was a large factor in the slowdowns I started hearing about several months ago.

  5. Sorry, I used a prepaid card, so I can’t tell you.
The estimated production time they gave me was about a week. I ordered on the 24th. I’m a little worried because my prepaid card gave me major issues on SheVibe, and I don’t exactly trust PT to communicate what the deal is if something goes wrong. I’ll wait it out, though. Also side note: prepaid cards were a BAD IDEA. Seriously. My last hope is Jellywink boutique. 🤞
