My Satisfyer vibrator review will start with an undeniable fact: Satisfyer Master is a clear imitation of Fun Factory’s Big Boss.
Call it a knock-off, call it a rip-off, call it whatever you like. The two toys share a number of striking similarities that no one who’s seen the big picture would put down to pure chance.
But, the Fun Factory Big Boss is a luxury toy, at $140 price tag, while Master sells for less than $50. Here’s the low-down on the Satisfyer Vibes Master G-spot vibe.
The Scandal
Erika Lynae presents a very clear visual case for the (alleged) “design theft”:

When you consider that Satisfyer was the first Womanizer copycat brand, the picture becomes even clearer. The Satisfyer brand is founded on making cheaper versions of luxury sex toys. So why would I decide to review a toy that’s (at first glance) just a copy of another?
Well, first, sheer curiosity. How would the vibration quality compare, for about a third the price? It’s my opinion that any buyer should be given the info they need to weigh the options and make their own decision.
And mainly, affordability is a big goddamn deal. I suspect most people will agree that $140 is a good chunk of change for one sex toy. When I got the Satisfyer Master, my personal experience with the Fun Factory Big Boss was limited to standing in a brick-and-mortar store and playing with Big Boss’ speeds. I remember being impressed by the compressability of the toy’s head, by the substantial size, and by the power. When I turned it on, the Big Boss emitted a noise that was the very definition of “rumble.” As someone who’s drawn to larger phallic toys, it dawned on me that the high price tag might be worth it for me—in theory. In reality, though, I have expenses.
Because of the price difference, I can tell you that as a consumer, I would hands-down buy the Satisfyer Vibe rather than the Fun Factory equivalent. (But I’d scrimp and save for a Fun Factory Stronic pulsator—those are worth every cent, IMO.) More than that, it’s my strong opinion that no one should be made to feel guilty for buying a toy that better suits their budget. Even if it is a copycat design.
The fact is, the options for larger and definitely body-safe insertable vibes are seriously slim. Literally, the only good body-safe options are the very powerful BMS Swan Wand ($120) and the battery-powered Blush Luxe Marco ($34) and Blush Silicone Willy’s 9″ ($39).1 So, let me tell you about what you’re getting if you do opt for the Satisfyer Master, a powerful and fairly large insertable vibe.
The Quality
I wasn’t excited the first time I turned on the Satisfyer Master. It was loud—also somewhat buzzy. It took me two weeks to resolve to test it more thoroughly. I went into that first test session planning to totally trash the vibe quality.
Then I discovered that the Satisfyer Master actually starts on the third steady speed (out of 6) and there are lower settings: Two lower settings that are less buzzy and that I can work with. (Forget steady settings 4 through 6, though—I can’t use them. They’re for fans of buzzy, almost-wand-strength vibration only. The 5 patterns also are generally buzzy and aren’t doing much for me.)
And you know the real reason I enjoy the Satisfyer Master? It’s not hard through and through. (Much like Big Boss’ head, for sure.) The Master’s handle is ABS plastic, and then the motor casing extends about 2.5″ up into the shaft. Above that, though, the Master is kinda flexible for the last 4″ of insertable length. The silicone coating isn’t exactly soft, and it’s definitely not squishy, but it’s also not just the hard coating (over an even harder core) you find on most vibes. This bit of give makes the Master comfortable for me—a fan of realism—to use without feeling overwhelmed.
For best results, I turn Master down to steady speed 1, a deep thrrummmm that has some rumble, while pulling its large corona back and forth against my front wall and G-spot. In fact, I think this is one way that the Satisfyer Master and Fun Factory Big Boss are NOT alike, and the Master even surpasses Big Boss. See how Master’s coronal ridge sticks out more, for extra G-spot stim, while Big Boss’ ridge is absorbed into the forward-curving shaft underneath?
I like that extra POP. Master’s ridge is 5.75″ around, but IMO it feels larger, almost toward 2″ diameter (vs. the 1.75″ it actually is). It’s not quite large enough to qualify for my “big dildos” tag, but it doesn’t feel far off either.
The loop handle is nice to hold while gently thrusting. Steady speeds #2 and 3 kick the power up some, still without being too buzzy for my vag. The vibrations travel surprisingly well all the way to the tip. I’m glad to experience this in a (phallic) insertable vibe, since dildos powered by bullet vibes have the problem of not carrying the vibrations all the way up into the toy’s head.
Finally, I think Master’s silicone absorbs lube more than most. It’s easiest for me to use Sliquid Silk hybrid because it lasts longer. Otherwise, I’ll want to apply water-based lube (even a thicker water-based like Sassy) an extra time or two during a longer, more thrust-heavy session with Master.
Final Thoughts
Do I think the Satisfyer Vibes Master has the best motor around? No. It’s powerful enough, but not too rumbly (at least above the first speed or two). I can’t help but call Fun Factory Big Boss’ motor superior—but I know that not everyone is a vibrator critic who’s accustomed to deeper-frequency (rumblier) vibrations.
Is the color kinda ho-hum? Yes, but…at least it’s not white-white?
Do I think the design is not-coincidentally close to the Fun Factory Big Boss? Yes. But there are differences too, like Master’s ridge sticking out a bit more.
Do I think Master is the best affordable (under $50) option for an above-average-size, vibrating dildo? Absolutely. Show me a better option and I’ll endorse it too, but in the meantime I’m happy to have a budget-friendly toy that I can recommend.
Given all that, I would recommend the Satisfyer Master to people who:
- Like above-average girth and length
- Don’t need the most penetrating (rumbly) vibes but still enjoy some real power
- Enjoy a slightly softer, forgiving feel
- Want a vibe that’s easy to thrust
- Aren’t bothered by noisier vibes
