FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet Review & FemmeFunn Booster Bullet Review

The FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet is a compact powerhouse—so how would the FemmeFunn Booster Bullet, advertised as even stronger, compare to its predecessor?  FemmeFunn Booster Bullet vs. Ultra Bullet Phallophile Reviews

Ultra Bullet scored just below the inimitable We-Vibe Tango in my bullet vibrator ranking, so I was curious to see if the new Booster Bullet would surpass the “gold standard” Tango.

FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet Review

The best words I could think of to summarize this toy 18 months ago were “The FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet is strong.” That’s still true: Ultra Bullet is potent compared to the vast majority of small vibrators.

For me Ultra Bullet’s biggest selling point was its flexible silicone body. There’s no plastic motor casing, so Ultra Bullet fits more easily between bodies. I especially recommend it for tightly spaced sex positions like flat doggy. There, Ultra Bullet’s round bulb makes it much easier to hang onto than a typical bullet. It bends maybe 30 degrees easily. And the silicone is very silky, so when I pick it up I’m already getting good vibes before the vibes are on!

Ultra Bullet is slightly less powerful than the We-Vibe Tango—and only Ultra Bullet’s first speed is what I’d describe as “rumbly,” with more penetrating vibrations. If you prefer vibes that travel deep, I’d still recommend Tango. I personally favor Ultra Bullet’s first speed, and jump to the second of three steady speeds right before I’m ready to come. (And then Ultra Bullet has 17 patterns following the 3 steady speeds: more about that later in this review.)

FemmeFunn vibes really are robust when it comes to power: they start strong and get stronger. The company believes in power so much that they’ve added another feature to Booster Bullet…

FemmeFunn Booster Bullet Review

The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet is the Ultra Bullet with a third more power, a handy charging case, and a “Boost Button.” That little lighting bolt takes you right to Booster Bullet’s strongest steady speed. Is this good? Maybe—depends on how strong you want your toy! I already find the first & second Ultra Bullet speeds intense enough that I never use the “Boost Button”!FemmeFunn Booster Bullet Phallophile Reviews

Because these are take-no-prisoners vibrations. Booster Bullet is a mini vibe that wishes it was the Magic Wand Original. It’s intense, and it’s buzzy too, pretty much from the get-go.

Booster Bullet’s power is very similar to that of the Nu Sensuelle Point Plus (a 9 out of 10 on my bullet vibe strength scale). That means it is a little stronger than the We-Vibe Tango!

Plus, there’s one big difference between Booster Bullet and its closest competitors. Just like Ultra Bullet, Booster Bullet has a more flexible silicone body, to bend comfortably with your body.

However, if you enjoy firm, focused pressureplus lots of power—then the Blush Exposed Nocturnal Bullet will be a better choice than either FemmeFunn Bullet. The Nocturnal Bullet is the strongest small vibe I own! The Blush Nocturnal Bullet’s slanted lipstick tip can really press into the clitoris instead of lying on top of it. Its first three speeds echo the FemmeFunn Booster Bullet’s first three speeds—and then Nocturnal Bullet has two stronger speeds on top of that. It’s the kind of vibe I may choose to use clothing and more.

I’ve focused on the steady vibration speeds of the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet and FemmeFunn Booster Bullet because I don’t typically use patterned vibrations. (Unless someone else is controlling them, at which point some kind of strange switch flips in my brain and tapping functions are suddenly excellent.) Anyway, if you LOVE patterns, then these FemmeFunn bullets are truly made for you. But if you’re on the fence…

OMG THE PATTERNS, WHY

When I was at sex toy expo recently, I half-considered asking the FemmeFunn reps there why the manufacturer believes that users want 17 (almost indistinguishable, in many cases) patterns in one vibrator. With one control button. And a memory function—so you can’t just power off the toy and start over at square one. Instead, you need to click the single control button twenty times to decrease one speed.

So yeah, it’s good that I prefer Ultra Bullet’s first speed and only travel to the second when I’m really sure I want to get off.

The Boost Button on Booster Bullet is fine. It’s a nice touch; some will enjoy it. But can you guess what two buttons would’ve been a lot nicer, functionality-wise? It’s simple: an up arrow and a down arrow.

And/or FemmeFunn could throw away 10 of the 17 patterns. Really, with these toys you have to learn to ignore the plethora of patterns. If we all commit to just not thinking about them, maybe they’ll magically disappear.

Overall Breakdown

The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet is indeed more powerful than the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet: with the same silky silicone and the same flexibility. Both vibes are very comfortable for use during penetrative sex if you’re pressing hard into your partner’s body (or the bedding).

I tend to enjoy strong (but not super-strong) power and some rumbliness in my small vibes. Because Ultra Bullet—it’s though not as strong overall—starts out rumblier, I personally prefer it to Booster Bullet. Booster Bullet will be better for anyone who wants an extra kick in their vibe. Plus, Booster Bullet’s new charging + storage case is a convenient add-on—really handy if you’re disorganized like I am, or you’re traveling with the vibe.

In short, Booster Bullet’s best points are:

  • Lots o’ power
  • Silky, flexible silicone
  • Easy-grip knob ending
  • Boost Button kicks the vibes to the strongest speed
  • Metal charging and storage case keeps it all together

Versus Ultra Bullet’s:

  • Very good amount of power
  • Rumbly first pattern
  • Starts gentler than Booster Bullet
  • Silky, flexible silicone
  • Easy-grip knob ending
  • Silk drawstring storage pouch

Overall, I find myself rating Ultra Bullet a 4/5 because omg so many patterns; and Booster Bullet a 3.5/5 because it starts too strong for me personally!
