Uncommon: The Xara Fiend 4-inch bullet vibrator feels like a 13-inch wand toy. Examining the Fiend bullet’s spectrographic results vs. other small vibes, I was impressed — and relieved, since this data made sense out of the “two minutes from zero to climax” experience I’d just had (which basically never happens with my body and small vibrators).
After 3 more months with the Fiend vibrator, I’ve tried it out at all different levels of arousal and have consistent findings:
How I Review & How I’m Funded
Body-safe only; test-driven performance. I only recommend toys I’d feel good suggesting to a close friend, and I don’t accept paid reviews, ads, or editorial control. Affiliate links help fund independent testing of 1,300+ vibrators, 600+ dildos, 150+ butt plugs, and plenty of other gear. Every product is tested at least five times, with emphasis on ergonomics, ease of use, and—most importantly—sensation compared with similar toys, so you can decide if it’ll work for you.
Pros & Cons of Xara Fiend Vibrator
Pros:
- More powerful vs. other vibrators in the same shape.
- Multi-sync, layered vibration has a deeper impact on the internal clitoris.
- Firm pressure + power make faster results possible.
Cons:
- No handle means the strong vibration creates tingly fingertips, too.
- Not for folks who want gentle vibration.
- Not suitable for anyone who wants a soft or flexible vibrator.
The Xara Fiend (product page) is priced at $45.99 USD at the time of this writing.

Why the Fiend’s Vibration Is Actually Different
In testing, most bullet vibrators show a single dominant vibration band: meaning, one main frequency does nearly all the work. That tends to feel sharp and surface-level, especially on higher speeds.
The Xara Fiend tests differently. On the spectrograph, each steady intensity level puts out multiple, synchronous frequency bands, moving upward together. It’s densely layered vibration – not only a single wave, or even a couple layers.
This multi-sync output explains why the Fiend bullet’s vibration feels more impactful vs. other small vibrators. Its echoing resonance is something I normally only see in the strongest wand vibrator toys, where larger motors can forge similar overlap.
The Fiend’s highest measurable band (21,100–21,600 Hertz in testing) alone isn’t why this vibrator is different. What matters is how the multi-sync frequencies work together — this is why we also chose to use harmonic resonance stats, along with acceleration, in creating our strongest vibrators data guide.
My Experience Testing the Xara Fiend Vibrator
I’ve owned the Fiend vibrator for 3 months now, and all my 15+ test sessions show: It is not a rumbly vibrator, yet it stimulates the internal clitoris deeply through its layered power.
The Fiend’s vibration both shakes the surface of my skin, and then, it penetrates deeper with its echoing waves. The vibration feels dense and serious. It makes my body actually tremble.
Since I’m not used to bullet vibrators rocking me (they’re helpful tools for tight spaces, but they never bowl me over — never before this, at least), I went in wholly unprepared for what the Xara Fiend would do to my body. I’d been standing up, not expecting a strong result:
And oh boy, after 2 minutes on the Fiend vibrator’s speed #2, I was literally on my knees, screaming from how intense the sudden climax was.
After I became aware of the multi-sync vibration’s full effect, I’ve since only used the Xara Fiend while sitting or lying down.
There’s something extra-different about speed #2 for my body: it invariably makes me moan. I can feel it shaking through my deeper clitoral structure in an intense way. I’ve never enjoyed a small clitoral vibe so much.
It is sometimes overstimulating: I found letting the Fiend vibrator’s power excessive on my 2–3 most-sensitive days of the month (even trying out function #1, low power, was a bit much). But whether I’m aroused or not when I start applying the Fiend vibrator for clitoral pressure, I will reach orgasm in less than 5 minutes.
Other bullet vibrators require more fiddling-with: I need to stroke them clitorally (my preferred clitoral orgasm type) to really enjoy. Here, though I will occasionally jiggle the Fiend up and down over my clitoris, the amount of manual effort is less.
It’s also less work because of its smaller size:
Fiend Vibrator Size, Weight, and Accessibility
The Xara Fiend is small, light-weight, and little effort to hold: 4 inches long, less than 1 inch diameter (0.9″), and 51 grams = 1.8 oz = 0.11 pound.
Testing it repeatedly, I’ve found it produces no strain at all on my wrist — since it weighs barely over one-tenth of a pound.
However, I would not recommend it for people with finger sensitivity issues, since an indirect buzzz remains in the fingertips for several minutes after powering off the Fiend toy. For anyone sensitive to how vibration affects the fingertips, I recommend hands-free wand solutions: see my wand vibrator weight guide.
Vibration Functions and Control
The Fiend has 10 vibration functions, consisting of 3 steady speeds and 7 patterns. All 10 share the multi-sync, layered feel.
The vibration is controlled by a simple button on the bottom of the vibrator.
To control: You first hold down the power button for 2 seconds. The base will light up. Then, tap the button (less than 1 second press) to start the vibration. Continue tapping anytime you like to move through the remaining 9 functions.
The speed control is not fully adjustable, like in my formerly favorite bullet vibrator: Swan Maximum Bullet review. That’s the only thing I’m missing from this powerhouse small vibe, the Fiend: a couple more speed options would be incredible for gentler warmup.
Common Bullet Shape, but an Uncommon Motor
I’ve owned several bullets using this exact shape (and material), and the others do absolutely nothing for my clitoral stimulation. The Fiend is the 1st with this large lipstick vibrator design where the motor behaves differently, in both:
- Measureable vibration waves: As the Fiend produces a half dozen echoing frequency bands, instead of a single flatter one.
- Actual usage: It’s a toy I want to keep close at hand in my bedroom, instead of stored in a bin to never be used again.
Care: Cleaning, Recharging, and Storage
The Fiend by Xara Toys is made of nonporous ABS plastic. This non-silicone composition lets the vibration carry most strongly (no dampening).
It’s waterproof for cleaning purposes. To wash, simply apply any handsoap over the Fiend’s blue plastic, scrubbing for 20 seconds as warm water runs over it.
It can be stored with any other body-safe toy, including silicone vibrators and even soft silicone, as it will not damage any materials.

Final Verdict on the Xara Fiend
Xara Toys’ Fiend vibrator has a wide multi-sync vibration spread that feels incredibly distinct versus other similar-looking “lipstick” bullet vibrators. It’s different in the best way, in this case — since the Fiend is the only bullet vibrator to ever make me drop to my knees and scream.
Many repeat tests 😘 have convinced me that I am ditching all other small vibrators. This is the first one to ever give me results like a wand vibe or a good clit suction toy. But, people who want either a gentler clitoral vibrator, or a product with more than 10 function options (3 speeds, 7 patterns), may find the Fiend does not meet their requirements.

And how do you think it compares with the first generation we-vibe tango?
Your site is very inspiring, thank you for your work.
Wayyy stronger
The Tango is impactful primarily because of its firm and focused tip. The vibration is more often seen as powerful if someone is newer to owning a vibrator, but once you’ve picked up a few good wands… oh boy, the Tango feels weak in comparison.
This bullet, the Fiend, is my second favorite now after the Maximum Bullet, because the latter is more traditionally “rumbly” and has more speed settings. The Fiend is my #1 when I’m wanting the strongest for a faster O.
I just bought this in hopes of it working inside the Pris Toys Tribble grinder. They haven’t come in the mail yet, so I’m worried it wont fit, because the Fiend is a bit larger than the 0.8″ diameter hole in the grinder. Excellent review as always!
Use plenty of lubricant when inserting the Fiend, for sure.
Let me know if this pairing worked out!
