The Synstyl fantasy grinder is made of platinum-cured silicone, is 6.67″ total length × 5″ width × 2.12″ height, is 2.33″ diameter across the widest lips, and 0.75″ long × 0.4″ wide clitoris. My Experience – Synstyling & Riding?

Even if I’d bought the soft silicone version, I think I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much. The squishy density here is more “fleshy,” and it lightens the effect of the penta-labia (5 sets!) hitting my own labia, which is just what I need.

Uncover Creations Silicone Options

Choices are amazing, but the sheer number here can be slightly confusing if you’re new to fantasy sex toys! Uncover offers these options on most made-to-order toys, including Synstyl. What I recommend:

1. Firmness. The “squishy soft” upgrade is the best IMO. But the “super soft” is still forgiving, so it’s good too – I like more squish, but less sensitive folks might find these two soft choices feel basically the same. I’m testing the “squishy soft” density at 00-35 Shore durometer, whereas Uncover claims it’s 00-20 – yet it’s really not that squashy-super-squish-soft,⁴ so (therefore) I’m not certain how soft the “super soft” actually is currently, but **if** it follows the same pattern as “squishy soft,” it’d be slightly harder than 00-50 Shore. In my experience, what Uncover now calls “squishy soft” is the silicone that used to be their default, soft density for all grinder toys.
2. Color! I went with the “marble” option and chose my 2 colors. But, I’ve gotten “surprise me premium” before (in my Tentacle Grinder) and like it pretty well; two random marbled colors. The least-expensive option “surprise me basic” is letting Uncover send you a 1 color toy, their choice. Often the 1-colors are metallic, so you *might* get subtle marbling still that way.
3. Strap color. Self-explanatory.
4. “Add Silky Smooth Upgrade”. This is durian nut oil, which gives the toy a more powdery finish. Some people like this. I find it unnecessary, I like the normal silicone finish well enough. And the durian oil does smell… funky for quite a while after you get a toy that uses it.
5. Add vibrating bullet hole. Here, they can displace some silicone, leaving an opening in the base of the grinder, so you can fit almost any bullet vibrator into it. That’s fun, especially if you have a stronger bullet vibe. On rebuying, I decided that for this particular toy, I just liked the sheer squishy grinding, so I didn’t bullet-slot it; instead I’ll sometimes use a favorite power-bullet toy by itself, and then get on the grinder.

How to Use the Synstyl Grinder

You have 2 easiest options for using a handmade grinder sex toy: either riding cowgirl-style on top the Synstyl perched over a couple pillows, or sitting down on it on a chair.

These “on top” positions allow you to move your hips, ass, and thigh muscles to control the pace of your rocking / riding / humping on the Synstyl.

One last option is: you could also lie back in bed and press the Synstyl between your legs, applying pressure against the flat back of the toy with your fingers or palm. And, if you really want to power it up, you can press a Magic Wand head against the back of the grinder so that vibration carries all over.

How to Position Synstyl

You can either put the Synstyl labia grinder on a chair, pillow(s), or even the corner of a desk or night stand.

I typically ride is so the toy’s clit and my clit are on the same side – versus the grinder’s clit facing toward my ass. The latter positioning lines up more strangely for my body, but YMMV.

It comes with straps. I don’t use the straps often. I like the smoothness of no straps. However, the straps are there in case you want to ride up an inclined pillow-ramp without the toy slipping; or you want to anchor the Uncover grinder around something like a rolled-up towel or a cylindrical positioning pillow.

Care & Cleaning

To clean the Uncover Synstyl (or any silicone grinder), you’ll need:

• Any soap. All soap is anti-bacterial, so really no need to buy soap labeled as such. Liquid soap is easier to apply, but bar soap is fine.
• Running water. Creating a lather with the soap + water is what traps germs, then removes them from the silicone’s surface.
• A couple minutes of your time. The Synstyl has lots of extra folds that you’ll need to massage into with soap and water. If you have manicured / pointy nails, really keep them away from any super-soft silicone. Washing with neat trimmed nails is better, as you won’t create accidental pokes into the soft silicone, plus your nails won’t be carrying extra germs.

Cured silicone does repel most microbes – including fungi, bacteria, and viruses – on a microscopic level. So, all the wild textures on fantasy toys are just as safe as a smooth-surfaced silicone toy is.

Recap & Rating the Synstyl Silicone Toy
