Uberrime just released a practical slew of new vag. plugs, following a 7-year lull since their best-selling Sensi! I’ve been trying out the Uberrime Galene, Haliae, and Thetis silicone tentacle plugs 🦑🔌vs. previous faves, and, to make a long story short:
They’re now the top “fantasy” choices among my pussy plug guide. Here’s how Uberrime’s new tentacle plugs compare, and why you might use one over another:

Wearability Ratings: 3 Silicone Tentacle Plugs Compared
I spent 3 weeks testing the Uberrime tentacle plugs at least 4 times each (from 20 minutes to 5 hours’ wear per use), and began focusing on my favorite of the pack for extended trials:
- The Galene feels the best & stays inside the vagina somewhat better. This is the best V-plug Uberrime has created since the Sensi, based on my tests. 4.8 /5⭐s wearability (small size).
- Haliae has more prominent suckers that feel less like a natural part of the soft silicone. Missing a medium size. I did not find this plug to be G-spot stimulating. 4.2 /5⭐s wearability (small size).
- Thetis offers a smoother front if you want more slickness (and less tentacular-ness). With a proportionally thicker plug “neck,” it slips out the most easily for me. 4.0 /5⭐s wearability (small size).

All Uberrime’s new V-plugs (collection) include a demon plug and a semi-realistic penis shaped plug.

3 Tentacle Plug Reviews: Galene vs. Haliae vs. Thetis
Galene Tentacle Plug: Why It’s My Top Pick
The Galene has felt the best to wear, with its thick suckers and its flat top staying positioned mighty cozily inside my vagina: the soft squish silicone option also is awesome to clench around. “Squishy & squeezable” really means arousing!
The Galene, small, feels practically burly inside at 1.8″ diameter in its thick top section – this is not a thin plug. Its 4.7″ insertable length will work well for most vaginas (with average vaginal depth being ~4.9 inches).
I like the tentacle texture level in this one: the suckers are smooth, wider ovals rather than stylized circles on the front, then a streamlined set of ripples complets the Galene’s bulging backside. I notice the back less than the suckers, and the angled tip:
The top of the Galene tentacle plug is my best wear experience because its flatness is able to contour the best at my cervix when fully inserted. It just sits right, feeling natural there.
Haliae Curved Head Tentacle Plug: Good, Slightly Less Ergonomic for Wear
The Haliae also has a nice bulging shape, though there is no medium 1.75–1.8″ diameter option available in this plug: it jumps from small to large. The Haliae size small is 4.5″ length × 1.6″ diameter – this is a true medium size.
The Large size is 5.25″ length × 1.95″ diameter – meaning, more difficult to fully insert and actually wear around for those of us with an average vagina length.
I was able to insert and wear the size small easily for hours. (I did find myself wishing it had the girth of the Galene size small.) The suckers stick out, and feel less integrated into the squishy bulge of this plug than the Galene does. Haliae is pretty good, but I would pick the Galene small over it 9 times out of 10.
The large size is much more muscular feeling, which is good if I’m sitting down. Actually, lying down, since the bulk of this vag plug and extra length make it want to fall out while I’m standing — caused by the fact that the vagina is not a vacuum like the rectum, and pushes objects out more easily (especially if they’re heavy or bulky).
I enjoyed wearing this plug while lying back using a clit suction stimulator. Still, I found myself wishing that all V-plug shapes in the Uberrime lineup were smartly sized for progressively working upward without adding excess length, in the way that G squeeze plugs get wider but not longer (for all but the most extreme size).
Thetis: Most Dramatic Tentacle Suckers, Personal Least Favorite
First, some background: Because the front of the vagina is usually more sensitive – it’s where the “G-spot” resides, and is closer to the nerves also feeding into the clitoris – it feels much more impressive when a plug angles forward to stimulate the vag’s front wall. This was the idea behind the dramatic Uberrime Sensi G-spot plug.
In the Thetis, it does curve. However, the front curved side is totally smooth (except for one moderate vertical ridge). This makes it more difficult to feel the tentacle plug’s suckers.
You can of course turn this tentacle plug 180-degrees, so the tentacles are facing forward (a.k.a. the right way 😆). Then, they are very noticeable – the rings are even a touch rough for me; gotta apply more lube! for sure. Still, the backward curvature rests less naturally, in that only a portion of tentacles make contact & deliver sensation.
Overall, the Thetis’s full feeling is still quite nice, and I don’t recommend against it – it just is the least noticeable tentacle feel in my testing. Since everybody’s sensitivity and preferences are different, it’s possible that some users will enjoy a light curvature backwards rather than forwards like Thetis has, and will find the Thetis more enjoyable than I did.
How to Wear an Uberrime Tentacle Plug – Positioning Tips
Quick tips list in our How to wear a pussy plug.
The Uberrime tentacle plugs overall aren’t that different in terms of how to wear, versus other V-plugs – except that I would emphasize “Apply enough water-based lubricant” more strongly.
That’s because the tentacle sucker textures are larger in some models, so they don’t slip in as easily as smooth silicone does. It’s actually nice in that the suckers’ rings can hold onto some lube, especially if you’re using something thicker aloe-based lubricant (including my #1, Solina Vera), the best kind of safe lubricant for use on silicone toys.
The small size Uberrime tentacle plugs are the easiest to wear, particularly for more than 1–2 hours. The medium Haliae I have is do-able, but requires size training and brief warmup before inserting it; while the large sizes are for vagina stretching masters.
Take care to remove a V-plug if it begins to ache, generally feeling less comfortable.
I need supportive shorts (something sturdy like denim, not loose-fitting or stretchy polyester) when walking around wearing any tentacle plug. In contrast, if just sitting at my desk, pajamas shorts or looser pants are no problem.
How a Tentacle Plug Toy Compares to a Realistic Dildo Plug
Fantasy toys are all about the textures in soft silicone: you get interesting ripples, dots, curving shapes and firm lines not found in realistic dildo sex toys.
This is neither better nor worse versus a lifelike toy – it’s just a different feel, and which one you’ll enjoy most depends on your personal wants.
For leave-in silicone plugs, I feel less need for realism, since phalluses are sit-on-able, but not wearable. (Wearing a penis around while walking & going about your day cannot happen IRL.) This means many of my favorite wearables are abstract – and now, I’m enjoying these fantasy-textured ones a lot for the interesting feel while squeezing my PC muscles around the suckered silicone tentacles.
In short: The Uberrime tentacle plugs don’t feel lifelike, they feel noticeable in a very good way – and are a lovely level of softness in the “Soft & Squishy” Shore. Though I don’t get the sense of “wow this like like the first 10 seconds of sex with a human” when inserting them, in the long run, the Galene is easiest for long-term wear – and I’m able to notice its streamlined suckers when clenching around the plug, anytime.
About Uberrime Silicone Handmade Plug Sex Toys
Uberrime Dildos handmades all toys in Florida from ISO-certified platinum cured silicone. What’s best about Uberrime vs. many fantasy makers, is that they’re not only using high-quality silicone, they’re letting you pick your own colors and silicone firmness 24/7/365.
These constant “customs”‘ availability stands out versus only being able to buy stock colors, or needing to wait for random colors to be released during other indie manufacturers’ once-weekly stock drops.
Uberrime offers 2 densities for the vast majority of toys: either the Soft & Squishy 00-30 option that I strongly prefer, or Soft 00-50. The latter is soft, definitely not hard, but it’s also less plush & clench-worthy for sensitive users. I 10/10 recommend the Soft & Squishy option when ordering!
