Best Large Size & Best G-spot: Solina Maxima vs. Solina Mega XL, compared

First, this is a hard call, Maxima vs. Mega XL. Both Solina sex toys are best-sellers: since Mega XL is most erect-feeling and skin-like (12% more than Maxima), butttt Maxima is more dramatic for G-spot stimulation.

10/10 a choice I’m glad I do *not* have to make: and I honestly recommend you get both to compare, too, if you like moderately girthy toys.

Uncircumcised Solina Dildos: Aura vs. Fore Sliding Skin

Though the Prima is the only Solina dildo that appears truly circumcised,³ the Aura is the one called “uncut” because its foreskin is most obvious, covering most of the dildo’s silicone head:

Aura is the stable dual-layer formula in all other Solina dildos before it – meaning, the soft outside layer is fully bound to the firm core below, it doesn’t move around separately.

Solina Silicone: What is Dual-Density or Dual-Layer Silicone?

Solina dual-density dildos have silicone that’s exactly as soft as an erect cock-head, outside; then they have a firmer core inside so the dildo is less floppy.

Dual-density silicone is simply the solution for more real-feeling dildos, vaginally. (Some people love dual-layer toys anally, too.) It’s because the two layers are two different firmnesses (=densities!) of silicone.

My Favorite Solina Dildos

The Solina Maxima XXL is now my all-time favorite real-feel dildo – while the Solina Mega XXL keeps a slight edge for faster thrusting & mounting on a fucking machine: as Mega XXL is the smoother glide at speed. (Maxima XXL is more skin & veiny feel!)

That’s because I like thick dicks, 99th percentile, for about 60% of the month. How to Clean and Care for a Solina Dildo

Cleaning a silicone dildo is awesomely easy. You only need soap and water!

Rub the soap over the dildo, then scrub it under warm water for approximately 20 seconds.

Let it dry on a towel. Rinse any dust / lint off the dildo before you insert it the next time, and repeat!

With all Solina dildos’ silicone, you can be certain they won’t “melt” or crack after a year or start developing weird black patches on their surface. It’s so reassuring to know that I’m not getting extra weird chemicals leaking into my vagina, too.

Last, be sure you’re using a great lubricant! Sex lubricants can be safe or unsafe😢— the latter mess with your skin’s protective barrier, plus 100% silicone lube is rough on the Solina dildos’ super-soft exterior. Use water-based or a clean hybrid lubricant only on Solina silicone. (Do not use silicone lubricant on a Solina dildo!) Our favorite is now Solina Vera lubricant, which was made to work well with this platinum silicone and feels really thick.

Why Platinum Silicone for dildos?

Platinum-cured silicone (also called just “platinum silicone,” or sometimes “platinum grade silicone”) is the best silicone used to make dildos. Why? It’s the most stable!

Silicone is much safer for long-term contact with your body, since it’s “generally unaffected by host tissue attack… due to its widely recognized chemical and thermal stability.” It’s used in medical applications from “catheters, drains, shunts [like on heart pacemakers], various long-term implants, orthopedic implants… [as] wound dressing, [on] hypertrophic burn scars,… [and in] prosthesis.”⁴

In fact, the first-ever silicone dildo was designed by Gosnell Duncan, a mechanic who was paralyzed from the waist down, and who wanted to give his partner the best possible synthetic member🍆— This was at a time (the early 1970s) when dildos were made of atrocious materials, like rubber that degraded and leaked down your legs the first time you used one!!!
