Solina Balla Review – 2× Lifelike dildo + Clit Grinder!!

Now *that* is a ballsack, I thought, looking at the Solina Balla dildo’s looooong scrotum. And the dick doesn’t look bad, either! So I got ready for a ride…and hump.

Ooooey, this is a superb combination. Why? Well, lots of dildos have “balls.” But the Balla dildo by Solina is the most extensive sack I’ve owned:

That means, it’s just really easy to get on top of, and rub my clit off on. It covers all this space, and its skin-texture scrotum feels amazing to hump up and down on. Plus, this platinum silicone dildo’s got a nice bell-shaped head. 🤤

Body-safe only, real-world tested. I only recommend toys I’d feel good suggesting to a close friend, and I don’t accept paid reviews, ads, or editorial control. Affiliate links help fund independent testing of 1,300+ vibrators, 600+ dildos, 150+ butt plugs, and plenty of other gear. I tested the Solina Balla 12+ times before this review, with emphasis on ergonomics, ease of use, and—most importantly—sensation compared with similar toys, so you can decide if it’ll work for you.

Pros & Cons of Solina Balla dildo

Pros

  • Awesomely realistic dildo shaft,
  • Plus long, extended ball-sack:
  • For clitoral grinding + vaginal sex.
  • Ballsack can slap against the clitoris.
  • Platinum cured silicone; body-safe.
  • Dual-density silicone means the shaft is soft, but not floppy.
  • Rare dual-stimulating dildo.

Cons

  • Moderately G-spot stimulating. (Not the strongest G-spot toy.)
  • Medium shaft size won’t suit anyone who wants 1.) a slim dildo, 2.) a short dildo, or 3.) a thick dildo.
  • Strong skin lines take 1 minute more scrubbing to clean!

The Solina Balla silicone dildo is made of nonporous silicone, is 8.7″ total length, has 6″ easily insertable length × 1.55″ average shaft diameter, and has a 1.7″ diameter × 1.8″ long head.

How I Review & How I’m Funded

All body-safe, zero BS. I only recommend body-safe toys I’d feel good suggesting to a close friend, and I don’t accept paid reviews, ads, or editorial control. If I wouldn’t give a toy to a close friend, then I won’t recommend it to you, either. I’ve tested over 1,205 vibrators, 595 dildos, and 165 butt plugs (and an array of cock rings, kink gear, and lubes!). Everyone’s preferences vary, so I rate vibrating toys by 1. power level and 2. rumbliness; and always describe how my personal tastes color my experience.

My Experience Testing the Solina Balla dildo

My full review on this “OMG how is this another home-run by Solina???” Balla dildo:

First, the shaft balance is so ultra-realistic, as lifelike as you can find in any dildo – plus, its platinum silicone is body-safe, won’t degrade, and (unlike real penises) doesn’t hold onto bacteria.

Solina Balla dildo scrotum review, reviewing looking down at
The Balla’s soft silicone scrotum is the longest I’ve tested on a dildo, at 2.9″ usable length.

The Balla works for stimulating 2 erogenous zones: for G-spot stimulation, and clitoral stimulation:

G-spot Stimulation with Balla

First, the head. The head!!! The Balla has this nice popping ridge, curling: that’s why I say “Bell shaped”: it’s like half a bell. The ridge is for G-spot rubbing as I thrust.

Solina Balla dildo, bell shaped head for G spot

For G-spot stimulation, the Balla’s head needs to be rubbing the front of the vagina, while its ballsack is ass-facing.

So, like with a live penis (that isn’t abruptly curved downwards when erect), you must choose between 1.) clit-grinding on the balls and 2.) G-spot massage. I get it, that’s just how things are anatomically. If you want clit rubbing, you ride “backwards cowgirl”!

That’s why I alternate directions when using the Solina Balla lifelike dildo:

Solina Balla realistic dildo dual directions for clitoral and G-spot stimulation
Solina Balla realistic dildo: how to use for clitoral stimulation vs. G spot stimulation (facing in 2 different directions).
  1. First, I use it as a clit grinder, with the balls facing forward (toward the front of my body!).
  2. Then, flip it so the Balla dildo’s head is rubbing my G-spot. Here, I thrust it by hand till I’m satisfied…
  3. Last, for good measure, I turn it another time so I can clit-hump-off to another orgasm or two!

Clitoral Stimulation with Balla

More of the Balla’s “balls.” It’s all scrotum, really: that’s the fancy medical term for “ball sack,” the layers of skin surrounding the testicles.

Solina Balla dual density silicone dildo with long, soft silicone scrotum - lubricant on balls
The Solina Balla’s balls with water-based lubricant added on top.

In this legit soft, slightly squishy silicone, the Balla’s sack is just the right density: I can feel the skin-lines well, they’re not totally saggy like a super-duper soft silicone (dildo density explained) is; but they’re also not hard.

I do recommend using a good safe sex lubricant on the Balla when grinding, especially when going the hardest against its silicone scrotum. (So my labia’s skin and clit hood don’t get too dry or chafed!) See an idea of how it is in action – that’s a silicone torso I’m using Balla’s balls on so you can see how it works for clitoral:

Because: Slappin’ sack. The Balla feels awesome when I’m thrusting the dildo into my vagina. I get to control the pace, how the soft silicone balls rub and hit my clit, softly!

Riding on the Solina Balla dildo, method

I’m a huge fan of the “Body Dock strapped around a pillow!” hands-free dildo mount method. It’s the cushiest, hands-free way to ride on a dildo—more comfortable than a T.O.M. plastic mount or Liberator Wing’s denser foam.

For more: Best dildo mount methods, compared.

Here, you use your own pillows: a skinny pillow on top, with the strap buckled around it; then another pillow or two, angled to taste—so you get the perfect elevation for however long (or short!) your legs are.

The Body-Dock-strapped method also fits all suction cup dildos easier – plus leaves the dildo’s balls open & uncovered, unlike a Liberator mount (which covers over balls, you’re constantly getting fluid on its fabric, and it fits slim vibrators better than dildos). The B.Dock mount here is silicone where I’m pushing the Solina Balla’s strong suction cup down onto:

How to use Solina Balla as a hands free grinder: #1. Have Lap Strap’s dock + your dildo ready. #2. Push the dildo’s base down onto the silicone dock. #3. Open the Lap Strap’s straps all the way, extend them to surround your pillow, then buckle them both in place and pull tight. #4. Your dildo is now ready to be ridden on!

Solina’s Silicone

The Balla is the same perfect dual-density as the other Solina realistics. I’m totally in love. Dual-density a.k.a. dual layer silicone is 2 different silicone firmnesses, joined together: and that blending does not always turn out this well.

I’m finding Solina toys’ 00-50 Soft (Shore durometer for silicone dildos) silicone exterior = soft enough but *not* flaccid-like for vaginal play (in contrast with VixSkin, where the heads can feel rather half-cocked). And then, the harder core inside supports the shaft’s erection-ness!

It’s such a precise balance, and I’m stoked that not just my vagina—but my clitoris too!— gets to enjoy this platinum silicone now in the Balla’s wide, long flat sack.

Balla Dildo Dimensions vs. Solina Maxima & Solina Mega XL

The Solina Balla dildo’s shaft is:

The Balla’s head is barely (0.05″) narrower than the Solina Maxima’s – the most excellent G-spot realistic dildo. Balla’s shaft is slightly slimmer, too, between 1/20 and 1/10 an inch less diameter versus the Maxima dildo.

Care & Cleaning the Balla

To clean, simply put your normal handsoap onto the Balla’s silicone, and scrub it down under running water from your sink. Spend a few seconds on rubbing soap over the head, over the foreskin over the head; and 5–10 seconds on cleaning up the scrotum textures!

Silicone is functionally nonporous. It repels bacteria, fungi, and other microbes, not allowing them to live in or on the silicone.

Recap & Rating the Balla dildo + grinder

The Solina Balla is the smart Solina toy to get now if you want your clitoris rubbed while riding on top. The Solina Prima was good, but the Balla has so much more scrotum.

That’s in contrast with the Maxima, too: its balls are mainly for grip, not clit contact. The Maxima is the #1 Solina ultra-realistic for G-spot, versus the Balla being… 4/5 good for G-spot, while also providing the external stimulation.

Are you someone who likes rubbing while riding, or having a ballsack slap as you / a partner thrusts the toy? This is the best package for that outside + inside dual stimulation, among all the hundreds of realistic dildos I’ve tried out.

Orgasms per dollar value:
Awesome concept: the flat scrotum is sooo much easier to rub on, clitorally. Really nice shaft, awesome texture, skin-like, good shape.
4.9
User experience/ Ease of use:
Feels just excellent. Switch between forward-facing & backward facing: it’s clit or G-spot stimulating, not simultaneously dual-stimulating (just like nearly all penises aren’t!). Good suction cup. Occasionally I wish it was half-an-inch shorter, but I can push the balls up so my clit can reach them on low-cervix days!

Luxury Feel:
Body-safe smooth silicone, decent box, better than a $600+ RealCock for both packaging and longevity!

  1. Hey Felicity, I was wondering if you’d think it’s possible to have anal sex while having a large g-squeeze inside of the vagina?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

    Reply
    • Maybe, but it depends on the individual: including how tight their pelvic floor starts out, and how much stretching practice they’ve done too.
The fact that the G squeeze’s base is oval, and longer, will take up some space – so it also depends on the angle of penetration, to avoid the G squeeze falling out during sex. It might be easier with one’s butt propped up higher, like on a Liberator Wedge kind of slope to fight against gravity! Have not tested that myself

  2. Thanks for the Balla review! Is the Solina Maxima XXL review coming soon? I stopped collecting them all after the Megas, outside of Spotta. This Maxima looks like one I want for Black Friday shopping, if there’s a good sale.

  3. Hi,
I read almost all your reviews!
I’m hesitating between Prima, Maxima or Mega L. I like a squishy dildo, so which one would you say has more squish? Thanks 🙂

    Reply
    • Well, they’re all made from the same 2 silicone densities – so, often people will think that thinner toys feel squishier. In that sense, the Prima would be considered softest. But the Mega L is the most flexible since it’s long for its diameter.

The squishiest dildos will be uncored dildos, that is, super-soft silicone density that’s not girthy. These do feel flaccid IMO but I know some people care most about softness only, don’t need the dildo to be cored. If that’s true for you, then see the Nathan actual size (*not* 1X) in SquarePeg’s original SuperSoft silicone.

    • I’m certain that’s because most people will find it too weird to buy, since seeing a toy with balls going up toward the belly-side is instinctively strange. It would be kind of like a stroker where instead of a clitoris at the top of the vulva, an asshole was there.

I think it’s a great idea functionally, but it’s hard to overcome the “WTF” factor!

    • I have to agree with Felicity for realistic dildos. You might want to look at fantasy dildos. There are equine models that have a flare that extends to the balls side of the head. Bad Dragon’s Bumble Hooves, Chance Unflared could be worth a look.

There are also semi-realistic dildos that have swells on the balls side. Paladin Pleasure Sculptors has the Aquus and Tellus models, I’d recommend. Tellus is sooooo good, if you love girthy dildos!

      Felicity has reviews of them:
      [Link deleted]

Ubberime’s Ellipse could also be worth a look, but there are only two sizes. It’s pointed head and swell are on the balls side.

  4. Hi Felicity, thanks for the informative review! I look forward to getting this one. What torso was the one used in the demonstration? I didn’t know that genuine silicone torsos even existed, I thought they were all TPE

    • I’ve gotten a lot of samples out of China this year that are claiming to be all silicone – the issue is trying to discern whether any of them are actually 100% silicone. We’ve tested a couple where, after a single use, the thighs start to split and the belly gets cracks in it even from leaning down on it and thrusting into it during 1 session – then the cracks and splits slowly deteriorate. As a whole, if you’re getting a torso in super-soft, I’d say to be prepared for it to not look great quickly & to tear around the hole. It’s unfortunate because the soft material feels really nice in the hands, but is oily – so it could be a TPE & soft silicone blend

    • The Balla and Maxima’s maximum head circumference is extremely close. The Maxima is widest left-to-right, while the Balla is widest front-to-back (in terms of where the maximum diameter falls).
The Balla has a bit more circumference (0.25″) mid-shaft vs. Maxima, and Balla also doesn’t narrow down a bit at the bottom of the shaft:
This means the Balla feels just slightly stockier and it’s also less flexible than the Maxima.

Moving up about 0.25″ of an inch diameter is safe enough from one toy to the next: tips are to use plenty of lubricant and really take one’s time when inserting the toy.

  5. I have the prima. Do you think this is different enough to spend the money on. Do you find it more pleasurable with the shape of the tip? Sorry, I am new to toys.

    Reply
    • Yes, the Balla’s head shape is larger and more pronounced vs. the Prima being smoother, so I can feel a big difference and personally enjoy the Balla more nearly all the time. The exception is if I’m using a sex machine and have the thrusting distance set long / or if it’s not adjustable like on the Solina Strong Small Machine – in those cases, the greater smoothness and smaller size of the Prima are less punishing. The Balla has a lot more skin-texture feel, some people will need more lubricant with it.
