Stuffed. When I put my first true pussy plug in, I didn’t realize yet: it would become a totally new way to orgasm.
Its silicone, soft and so filling – pushing, gently expanding, like a warm & embracing hug inside my vagina. A pussy plug or vaginal plug isn’t just a sex toy for G-spot orgasms – No,no, my friends, it’s part of a whole ecosystem for more intense arousal, as I’ve discovered: Vagina plug toys make clitoral orgasms stronger.
Over 5 years since my 1st pussy plug encounter, I’ve been testing different sizes & styles of intra-vaginal plug for best fit. Just as important, we’ll review how to wear a pussy plug and how to get the best results:

Top 5 Vagina Plugs Recap:
These are the most unforgettable pussy plugs I own. All of ’em have a full silicone exterior, since silicone is a body-safe sex toy material that repels water & germs – that’s essential for something you’ll be keeping inside for hours!
- G squeeze, by SquarePegToys. 8 size options. Contoured, maximum fullness. Just revolutionary, how damn well this thing fits in. I recommend Medium size for new toy-users, vs. Large size for most vaginas. Size-queens like myself prefer XL sizes & up: my personal #1 is the XL for wearing longer, vs. the 2XL G-squeeze for gettin’ stuffed🍾 amidst rumbly clit suction.
- Uberrime Sensi. For G-spot plugging as you sit down.
- Uberrime Fugu. Top leave-in dildo, fantasy sex toy style. Short length so it’s easier to keep inside vs. a normal dildo. Notched head, smooth bumps. Requires support-shorts to remain inserted as I move around.
- Lovense Lush 3 – Vibrating for long-distance / remote control. Less filling for hungry vaginas like mine (Lush has 1 size only), but vibrates mid-range-strongly (7.5 out of 10 powerful).
- Atomic Vibrating Inflatable Plug – For maximum stretch, in 1 toy. Less cushy than Gsqueeze, yet softer than Lovense Lush; high-frequency vibration option (6.5 out of 10 powerful).
Pussy Plug FAQs
What is a “pussy plug”?
A pussy plug, a.k.a. vagina plug, is a sex toy that stays inside the vagina like a “leave in dildo” – but is better designed to fit the vagina’s natural contours & length.
What is the best vaginal plug material?
Silicone is the only safe, comfortable material for pussy plugs. Silicone is nonporous, repels bacteria, and is safer to wear than tampons are – since silicone doesn’t shed or harbor yeast!
How long can I safely wear a vagina plug toy?
No hard limit, though wearing for over 24 hours may over-work the muscles that surround the vagina.
I recommend wearing a pussy plug for 2 hours or less as you get accustomed to vagina-plugging, then progress gradually up to 8 hours if it’s continuing to please you!
What does a pussy plug do, vs. a dildo or a butt plug?
A good vagina plug is like a butt plug that’s 1.) short enough to fit median vaginal depth (4.8″) and 2.) has a small, oval base to prevent labia irritation & weigh less.
Dildos are almost always longer, and often have balls and wider suction bases that interfere with comfortable wear between the labia.
Top 4 Pussy Plug Benefits
Every pussy plug guide should recap exactly what a vagina-specific plug will do for your sex life:
- Makes you more aroused. Fantastic foreplay tool, a well-chosen vagina plug will prep you to be so ready for sex with a partner.
- Clenching around a soft V-plug strengthens your PC muscles. That means more control (less leaks while sneezing or jogging, for example) plus often, harder orgasms in the future. Cis women with stronger pelvic muscles report more satisfying orgasms, more desire, & better arousal.
- Full feeling. Adds sensation = blended stimulation when you’re playing with a clit suction toy or clitoral vibrator; and makes you feel jam-packed in the best way (when you’re using the right size pussy-plug for you!).
- Discreet wearable – for spicy walks with a partner, nights out – or while working from home. That sh*t just got more interesting.
💡💧Be sure to purchase a body-safe lubricant along with a silicone vagina plug. The lube will eliminate all drag as you insert the plug into your vagina.
G-squeeze vs. Uberrime Sensi – U.S. Artisan V-Plugs Contrast
All about the G-spot: as tremendously important as the clitoris is to F orgasm, the Gspot is **absolutely** my favorite sexy spot. So, I’m intrigued how these – my top 2 vagina plugs – each have a different style of G-spot stimulation. G-squeeze vs. Uberrime Sensi, the pros & cons & different V-plug feels:
- Cups around the G-spot, cradling it.
- Concave scoop is less bulky. Folds inward too, so you can get it inserted faster.
- Best base design: long oval parallels the labia.
- Can walk some while wearing. (Support shorts sometimes needed.)
- 8 sizes to select from, spaced well for sizing up.
Sensi by Uberrime Dildos:
- Pushes into the G-spot, via its bulbous head.
- Full barrel-like shape; aggressive forward angle.
- Round base is smaller than before, but still not ovoid to avoid rubbing large labia minora.
- Easiest position is to sit on it only – Sensi wiggles out as I wear it. (Support shorts always needed.)
- 1 OG size; versus 3 new sizes to select from, but too-large-for-safety jump between medium and large Sensis (1.37″ greater).1
In short, the G-squeeze by SquarePegToys is most cushy pussy plug (smoothest, gentlest silicone). It fills me up best, and is much easier to wear around for several hours. It just feels so damn *right* inside my vagina, and the 2XL is my best for using with a clitoral suction toy – like, “magical” doesn’t even describe it, this combo (Gsqueeze + Zen Rose) is just fantastic:
Choosing *which* G squeeze is your hardest task when facing this squishy, safe silicone stuffer.2 The way the G-squeeze works, is you want to buy slightly larger than your largest current toy. Then, you fold the edges inward around the scoop as you ease it into the vagina – and it opens itself up once inside.🪄
And if you are a true size queen, then this largest pussy plug (4XL size G-squeeze) is *the one* – its super-soft platinum silicone is gorgeously squishy:
Uberrime Sensi, in contrast, focuses on the G-spot more strongly – pushing, not hugging. That’s fine, it’s soft enough for comfort – but, to prevent it falling out, I do need to either be sitting flat on the Sensi plug while wearing it (or biking on it!), or wearing tight underwear to retain this silicone plug in my vagina!
Pussy plugs create fullness and pressure, but they don’t provide targeted stimulation. If you’re looking for direct G-spot massage, my guide to the best vibrators for G-spot stimulation compares toys designed specifically for the task!
Inflatable Pussy Plug Stretch
If you’re a fleshy squeeze kinda gal like I am, there’s no single sub for the G-squeeze in Supersoft – but still, the Inflatable Vibrating Butt Plug is like an expando-experiment that is def. worth $45 to stretch oneself to the max., occasionally.
Cuz this thing, gets so BIG. Look, I can get it up to about 2.5″ diameter inside me (pic #4):
Most enjoyable, gettin’ my pussy puffed up while I use a potent clit vibrator!
How to Use a Pussy Plug
My how-to vagina plug tips focus on G-squeeze’s cushy shape, but nearly all will work with other short “leave-in dildo” toys:
How to Use a Pussy Plug
Apply lubricant.

Squeeze your personal lubricant (water-based, or hybrid) over the tip of the vaginal plug’s silicone. It should drip down over the plug’s body.
Grip the bottom of the plug, and get ready.

Hold the bottom of the toy, as you recline in a comfortable position: Either lying back in bed, or in a chair with your legs spread open.
For the G-squeeze vaginal plug specifically: wrap your fingers around the lower body, so the “scoop” shape folds in on itself. Keep it closed up, until:
Gently insert the silicone plug into the vagina.

Apply it slowly, easing the plug into your vagina. Stop and add more lubricant if the plug is not sliding in after 1–2 minutes.
For G squeeze: Once the scoop is fully inside you, it will open itself up to fit your vagina’s width.
Feel the full sensation.
Stop and breathe, while you sense the augmented fullness of having the plug inside.
It may create a tingling feeling, and make your nipples harden.
Add Clitoral Stimulation.

The vagina-plugging experience gets most intense when you make it blended: play with your clitoris while V-plugged! This can be accomplished manually (your own fingers), via a clit suction toy, via a wand vibrator, etc.
Kegel: Steps to blended orgasm while pussy-plug wearing.
Choosing to squeeeze your vagina around a super-soft silicone plug is a variety of Kegel exercise, and will make you more turned-on, leading to harder orgasm. To practice:
Clench around the pussy plug for 8 seconds, to start. Count down in your mind, or ask a partner to direct how long you hold the tightness!
Move up to 15–20 seconds of holding as long as you can, while stimulating your clitoris and/or your nipples.
When you reach “0” in the count-down, let yourself go – while rubbing your clit harder or turning up to max. intensity vibration.
For Walking: Wear tight-fitting shorts.

If you’re wearing a vaginal plug toy outside the house, add tight “support shorts”* then another layer of clothes (bigger shorts, a skirt) over that. These will ensure the plug stays in your pants, and never falls out on the ground.
*Can be a tight-fitting bikini, spandex athletic shorts, yoga shorts – whatever that fits your body tightly.
Wear for up to 6–8 hours, to taste.
Start shorter, wearing a vagina plug for less than two hours. Then, work up as is comfortable for your body: Add increments of no more than 2 hours at a time.
My max. wear time is just under 8 hours. Though there’s no inherent danger of wearing a plug for up to 24 hours-ish (if the plug is body-safe silicone), my vagina tells me, 8 hours is enough.
Remove the plug by gently tugging on its base.
Grip the bottom of the plug, and take 10–15 seconds removing it. Ease it out, don’t yank it!
Wash with normal soap & water.
Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Silicone doesn’t require special cleansers or wipes – just normal soap!
Estimated Cost: 69.00 USD
Supply:
- Vaginal plug toy.
- Water-based lubricant.
Materials: Super-soft silicone
Pussy Plugging & the CUV Complex – Building Better Arousal
Your whole pelvic floor is connected. As important as “cliteracy” is in sex education (4 out of 5 women don’t normally orgasm without clit stimulation), the vagina – from G-spot orgasms to pussy plug wear – is a huge source of pleasure, too.
In-the-know orgasmic researchers have concluded, “The vagina is not a passive organ but a highly dynamic structure with an active role in sexual arousal and intercourse. …Dynamic interactions between the clitoris, urethra, and anterior vaginal wall have led to the concept of a clitourethrovaginal (CUV) complex” that produces more “multi-faceted” orgasms3 than the clitoral glans (head) can, by itself.
That’s why the surest route to better arousal is a combination, just like your stuff all down below!:
- Wear a pussy plug first, or rub your clit first: either order works.
- Then, add the other erogenous zone in: Insert the vaginal plug if you’ve already stimulated the clitoris, or activate your clitoral pleasure centers by massaging the clit or vibrating it now.
Ease of Wear & Long-Term Vagina Plug Safety
All leave-in vagina plugs discussed in this pussy plug guide are either 100% silicone, or fully covered in silicone.
That matters because silicone is chemically inert & repels bacteria, fungi, (and viruses). You’ve probably heard of TSS (toxic shock syndrome) from folks who forget and leave a tampon in for days. Tampons are made to be absorbent, and they’re very porous – so they do hang onto germs.
In contrast, platinum silicone is a wonderful polymer that actively repels germs – it acts as a nonporous material.
Still, to be extra-cautious – this is your vagina! – I do not recommend that you wear a vagina plug for more 1 day at a time. And always wash the pussy plug well afterward, being sure to coat all surfaces with a good soap, scrubbing and washing down.
Also, give your vagina a break! I personally like fairly-large pussy plugs, and find that after 6 hours it begins to feel tiring. I will not go for more than when my body is like, “Nope, not anymore.” Listen to your body.
If you’re working toward larger sizes over time, I explain safe size progression and how to avoid overstretching in my vaginal stretching safety guide.
Can you wear a butt plug as a vaginal plug?
The vagina and the butt (anus, anal canal, rectum) are different entities, so of course they deserve separate toys to fit each hole. Still, vagina plugs vs. butt plugs is an overlapping diagram:
Few pussy plugs have bases substantially flared to be 100% safe for anal:4 so, for example, the Uberrime Sensi carries big warnings that “This toy is not anal safe!”
However, a few toys called “vagina plugs” closely resemble butt plugs, like how Uberrime Festa (2024) reminds me of the classic SquarePegToys Egg Plug (released 2009) but with pokier anchor-tips.
While you can wear soft-silicone butt plugs in the vagina, they tend to fall out more, since the vagina isn’t a vacuum like the ass is. So, for example, the Uberrime Fugu is a cool “fantasy dildo” style plug (anal-safe, too), *but* I need to be sitting right on top of it, not walking around with it inside my vagina.
In contrast, the G-squeeze’s smaller base + concave “scoop” makes it lighter-weight – that’s the one huge reason G squeeze is the only vagina plug I can easily wear while walking & moving around.
Vibrating Vagina Plugs
“Love egg vibrators” and “wearable G-spot vibrators” can also be classified as a type of vagina plug. They:
- take up less room inside the vagina vs. many super-soft plugs,
- are firmer silicone (over a hard plastic motor core), and of course:
- they vibrate.
Lovense Lush, with its dangling pink tail, is the best-known app control vibrator for vaginal-plug-esque wear. Lovense’s huge push with porn influencers is part of that; the Lovense app’s genuinely good design is the other part. Lush is, however, not super-filling or squeezable like IMO the greatest plug for vaginal wear. See its shorter length vs. G squeeze large:

NOTES
- No more than 1″ circumference increase from one toy, to your next larger toy, is strongly recommended for safety reasons. This guideline will help you avoid small tears to the vagina, and to the anus & anal canal when butt-plugging. Really, around 0.8″ maximum circumference increase (0.254″ diameter more) is the easiest step-up for vagina stretching. ↩︎
- If this is your first vaginal sex toy: choose medium G-squeeze if you ever find penetration uncomfortable; or choose large if you always thoroughly enjoy thrusting sex. ↩︎

In contrast, the vagina isn’t a vacuum, and it is closed off by the cervix – preventing vagina toys from getting pulled way deep into the body. ↩︎
Which size g squeeze should I order L or XL?
Regularly use a neo elite 9″×1.9″
Thank you for your reviews and assistance.
Clearly not Felicity, but a long time G Squeeze wearer. What’s your goal? Long term wear a L or M will be more comfortable. If you’re trying to stretch for larger toys, then XL could make a good trainer. I prefer a tapered toy like Tantus Cone for that.
Thank you!
Thank you for your detailed information. I am new to vaginal plugs and reading this was a huge help in understanding the differences. I wear a butt plug daily but want to experiment with a vaginal plug. I had preciously only heard of dilators. I can’t wait to try this out!
It’s great – I hope you’re having fun!! The only difficulty in vag. plugs that you see *some* (if a plug’s neck isn’t thin enough) in butt plugs, but not as often, is that vag. plugs are more prone to getting pushed out. I’m sure you know the drill: wear a new one around at home first before going out, just to see how well your body retains the plug / what clothing you can wear it with.
This is great information. A question about the G Squeeze. Is it inserted in the vagina with the concave scoop to the front? Thanks!
It’s possible to wear in either direction, but IMO most ergonomic the way you suggested: with the concave hollow facing the front side of the body.
It feels most surrounding & well-fitted for me that direction; while having the fuller side facing front feels like more girth, but also makes my body try to push the G-squeeze out more (so I can only sit on it in that direction). 99% of the time I use it “scoop facing front.”
I appreciate your reply, thank you! I’ve ordered a medium. (I thought I’d posted this) 🙂
Thank you so much for this comprehensive article! I am currently looking at the g squeeze. I’m thinking I may need the small as the only toys are use are fairly small (3-3.5″) circumference), and I don’t really use them to thrust, just to feel something inside me, usually just halfway into my vagina or to rub my g spot. I do find larger to be uncomfortable , even painful unless I’m very close. I know the medium is recommended for most women, so now I wonder if I’ll be making a mistake getting the small? Your input is much appreciated.
No, I think the small makes sense! It’s about 1.6 inches diameter when it’s not “squeezed”, so it’s not a truly small girth. The scoop shape makes all the sizes easier to use, but still, it’s better to go a bit too small, than too large & not usable.
Thank you for reading!
This is a great review, it was exactly what I have been looking for!
I understand that they’re mostly used for foreplay/during but for someone who is interested in post-play plugging, what do you recommend? I worry about gape, but mostly I don’t want any leaking.
“Gape” is generally less of a concern with vaginal usage, it’s mainly a thing with anal because the anus keeps to keep a certain level of tightness in order to prevent feces from getting out. Whereas vaginas leak frequently, in small amounts, naturally.
I think the G squeeze is fantastic before, during or after sex – the only question is choosing which size is right for any body. It depends on what size toys / penis / fingers, etc. one has experience with already. They do feel somewhat smaller than a solid dildo with the same max. circumference, because of how the G squeeze has the “scoop” in the middle.
